Room was very clean and nice with a beautiful wiew to the garden with beautiful flowers. It was really a pitty, that it was terrible weather with rain and wind. Due to the excellent location - 250 m from the Galla Placidia- we managed to visit this beautiful place in heavy rain and wind. Breakfast was very good with a lot of oprions - there was even gluten free food for me. We could park our car in the garage across the street which was really convenient. Signore Jacobo and the staff were very very helpful. Our two dogs were welcome and had a great time in the garden. Thank you again for an excellent stay.

Location was absolutely fantastic- everything was very close so we were able to see so much in just over a day. The room was lovely- under the roof- the air conditioning made it refreshingly cool when we returned after a day of sightseeing in the heat. There was even a small balcony! The breakfast was varied, and plentiful. Scrambled eggs were prepared for us and were delicious. Finally, Jacopo was extremely helpful and kind-he managed everything cheerfully and professionally. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The accommodation was in a very central location to the centre of the old town. We had mosquitoes in our initial room but the staff were very happy to change us to a large room upstairs. Accommodation was very clean and breakfast was good, catering for gluten free. The garage for parking directly across the road was very clean and secure with staff there excellent. No concerns about leaving your car there for a small charge.

The place is beautifully decorated. My room had an entrance from lovely inner yard. The hotel is between railway station and city center, everything is nearby, including nice restaurants. I was lucky with food in Ravenna - even obviously touristy places had nice service and were extremely tasty. Also hotel manager provided some nice recommendations about where to eat. My room was very spacious, and with a good AC - not blowing directly on me, but just retaining nice temperature. The breakfast was with a great variety of options, with egg dish to choose, meat/cheese plates, fruits and delicious local pastry. Also as a tea person I usually struggle with tiny cups in hotels, but here I just got a nice teapot of it.

Beautiful courtyard where you can have breakfast. Our room was spacious and clean. Very well decorated and we loved the bathroom. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Location was ideal being walking distance from major sights and restaurants. There is a secure parking garage across the road.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chez Papa. We arrived earlier than planned and had no problem checking in a bit sooner than expected to the top-floor attic suite. The breakfast was possibly the best I've had at any B&B or hotel - cakes, fruit, cereal, juice, toast, ham, cheese, cappuccino... The building is beautiful and the courtyard feels like an oasis. We were there for some of the hottest days of the summer, but the room had decent AC. The location is unbeatable - a quick walk to just about any attraction around Ravenna. The host was lovely enough to offer us a late check-out, which was a lifesaver. I only wish we had booked a longer stay - we will next time!

The only minor issue with the room is that the bathroom skylight window is completely uncovered which makes the bathroom feel a bit like a sauna during the day. This might be great during other seasons, but it was a bit too hot during our summer stay. Despite that, we'd still happily stay in this room again.

Jacopo went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. We were in Ravenna for our cruise for our 20th anniversary and he helped us with recommendations on where to have amazing eats and what to see for the one night we were in Ravenna. He even arranged our private transfers for us after we had stayed at his hotel. Even our picky teenagers loved the ambiance of this place and it allowed them to have separate beds. Chez papa is a delightful and charming place to stay and Jacopo treated us like we were his family - we were so enchanted by the warmth and hospitality we received and so grateful for all the help. We were so lucky to start our European adventures there. Highly recommend.

We liked it all, we got super big room. Booking was for 3 and finally we got room for 4, what makes it super comfortable. The place is very clean, owner/manager and the boy at the breakfast were beyond nice, breakfast was great and location is just superb. We arrived by car, the garage is opposite to the hotel and we got discount and super service. Garage is open until 24, but we attended the concert and we were back only at 2 in the morning. The man at the garage promised to wat for us, but we were so late that we didn't expect it, however, he was there. Bottom line, the whole pack was beyond expectations, we will be back for sure and use both services again. Good luck and stay as now!

The property is in the heart of Ravenna, which made it nice to come in and out and explore. we had a beautiful room and a spectacular balcony. in the morning, we brought our breakfast upstairs and enjoyed the sunshine on the balcony! Management at Chez Papa went above and beyond to make our visit the absolute best! Thank you for this, Chez Papa! We hope to visit Ravenna again one day!

The design and artwork throughout! Clearly a skilled architect and designer worked magic in this historic building — which I was told used to be dark, but it’s fabulous now. I loved my sunny attic room with private terrace — pets permitted! Stocked mini fridge & snacks. Amazing breakfast included perfectly ripe kiwis. Garden at rear and another glass-walled building beyond, for relaxing. Quiet both day & night. Well informed staff/owner.
