The room was very big, the balcony was great with comfy furniture, the bathroom was clean and the shower was big. The staff was very welcoming and kind and helpful in case of questions. Also super nice to get the Cinuqe Terre Card at a discount.

The breakfast was good, but compared to other breakfast buffets it lacked a bit in variety and quality - but this seems to be a common thing in italy. Still we enjoyed it well enough. One other italien thing is not having a proper blanket on the bed but just some sheets and multiple layers of blankets - this is really annoying, but again not the hotels fault but common in italy.

This hotel is the most charming hotel that i've ever stayed in. When I arrived, I was greeted with a glass of lemonade from the garden. My room was beautifully designed with a comfortable bed and a large balcony. I was looking for a peaceful stay by the sea and that's exactly what I got at this hotel. It's lost in time in all of the best ways. The breakfast is fantastic with fresh fruit, delicious pastries, and a beautiful view overlooking the garden. The staff was very helpful with all requests. I loved this little slice of paradise and will definitely be back one day.

It was a lovely surprise when we arrived as booking accommodation is stressful when you do not know the area. We absolutely loved Hotel La Colonnina and decided to book another 3 nights. Monterossa was also my pick of the Cinque Terre towns. Breakfast and coffee were fabulous as, too, were the Aperol Spritz. Loved loved this hotel and this area. Great friendly staff. As we had to leave early at 5am, they gave us a brekky pack too. Would love to go back.

There was nothing to dislike.

The staff was so oncredibly inviting! The hotel was very clean and beautiful. Our room was very big and very nicely decorated. Bathrooms appeared to be marble tile. The breakfast was great and the wonderful lady that made cappuccinos created fun designs of jellyfish and various fishes in the frothed milk. It was a great stay and very much woth the price. They also had discounted stays if you call them directly, as well as discounts on the Cinque Terre train and hiking card. The hotel was also located within a quick walk to the main promenade areas of the old town, but it was one alley back away from the main streets so there was zero noise. The courtyard was also really nice to sit in and sip a glass of wine.

We didn't like that we had to leave! The only possible complaint from me was that the bed was a little firm for my liking but I still slept well. The shower in the mor ing was bit cool or the hot water wasn't as plentiful, but over all these were small things to us.

Beautiful view, excellent location and fantastic staff. Each room has a unique balcony and the hotel has plenty of trees, plants, and flowers. Breakfast came with a fantastic barista, and amazing homemade lemonade from local lemons.

A few things which could highly improve the stay: Additional pillows, complimentary water in the room, and tissues. A single double mattress would have been a lot comfier than 2 single ones connected. Adding vegetables to the breakfast would improve it massively.

very friendly staff - particularly at Reception. Hotel is located away from the main tourist street which is very important because the Main Street is extremely busy. Good breakfast. Very nice rooftop terrace and a cool lounge out front shaded by beautiful trees (and quiet!). Within walking distance to all the main sights.

Perfect location in old town of Monterosso, great breakfast and homemade food. The room was just perfect, with a nice terrace where we have spent some very nice time. Staff very helpful. Very well renewed, clean. I plan to come back again and I strongly suggest this hotel.

A few more days would have been welcome, but that was an issue on my side. About my stay I just appreciated everything.

For us, the La Colonnina Hotel was perfectly located in the old part of Monterosso. This three-star hotel was superb in every way - cleanliness, facilities and superb staff who were always friendly, nothing too much trouble, making conversation and helpful with any slightest query you may have. At breakfast as my wife has to have a gluten free dietary requirement, she could have most things at breakfast but was also given gluten free bread and also a slice of beautifully homemade gluten free cake every day, freshly baked by 'Lucy'. The quality of the cake and the breakfast was excellent. If we were to return to Monterosso, we would return here without any hesitation. Frankly, I think this hotel is worthy of a four-star rating. We would like to give a special mention and a big thank you to the owner Giuly and her staff - Rossana, Cristina, Anna, Oriela, Sassa and Lucy for making it such a relaxing and comfortable holiday.

Location was easy to get to from centre of Monterosso. Room was quiet and very comfortable, rooftop and terrace from room was very nice. Breakfast options substantial. Staff were amazingly helpful checking in and supportive with our early checkout needs. They provided a packed breakfast as we checked out early for a train. Amazing customer service!

Everything was very good! I wish we had more time to enjoy the outside seating area in the front garden area for drinks.

The staff was amazing. We checked in after a long day of driving. The front desk staff showed us right to their garden and brought us fresh lemonade and a piece of cake and told us to relax before they even took us to the room. It was wonderful!! The location was excellent. It is on a quiet street but very close to shopping, restaurants and the beach. If we find ourselves in Monterosso al Mare again, this will definitely be our hotel of choice. I even recommended it to other travelers during the rest of our month long trip in Italy.

I couldn't find anything to complain about this hotel! Our 3 day stay was so nice.
