We had four rooms for our group. All were as advertised. One room was very warm when we arrived. The staff was responsive to quickly make the necessary adjustments on the AC. Location was better than expected, honestly. It is very convenient to the retail areas of Monterossa, but just far enough up the hill to get away from the more crowded area of the shopping and restaurants. We walked with our luggage (fairly light bags) from the train station. It was a fairly easy 10-15 minute walk (slightly up hill, but no problem for any of our group). I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends looking for a comfortable and convenient central location from which to explore Cinque Terre.

Good location a bit away from the crowds but still very walkable. We had a car and the parking garage is one block away, very convenient. Only about 200 meters to bring your bags from the beginning of the pedestrian only section. Convenient to everything in the old town section, but only 10 minutes to the train station. Lots of cafes and coffee close by. Rooms were big, linens were fresh and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is clean and modern, completely updated. The included breakfast was excellent and the small bar and lobby worked great for a drink before and after dinner. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I found nothing to dislike about the hotel and left with a smile. I would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. The staff treated as family, when my son forgot his iPad in the hotel, the staff reached out to us and genuinely tried to return it to us. They went above and beyond to help us just like a family member and we were able to retrieve it from the staff at the reception desk!. THANK YOU ! Hotel Margherita, we were so fortunate to have you, and you definitely treated us like a family away from home. Besides that the premises are beautiful and cleaned, comfortable, the breakfast was exceptional. We will definitely be coming back to you ❤️

We love the location of a property it was central located very close to the beach about a 10 minute walk from the train station . We dealt with three amazing women at the front desk. They were very helpful, friendly and understanding.  there was only one person that was not friendly working the front desk on August 9 and 10th the morning shift. Very rude and nasty . But other than her, I was very satisfied with everyone at the hotel she was not friendly at all. I didn’t even want to ask for her name,  breakfast was also very good. 

I don’t have any negative comments about the property.

We stayed for several days. The staff was super, Rachael and Roberto were always there with a smile and create a good atmosphere.The cleaning staff were very kind and wellcoming. The location is great. The rooms are smaller, but it is Montesoro. Very clean and great spot to watch the crowds go by. Great place for a base to visit the other villages. We would go back again.

Lots of Tourist... but monterosso has many restaurant and good fish and pasta.

Location location! Small walk from the parking garage in old town Monterosso, our terrace overlooked the quaint streets. Rise to the sound of beautiful Italian voices greeting each other “buongiorno”. We ended up with the terrace and I would highly recommend it! We loved just sitting and taking in the atmosphere! Breakfast was typical and delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Bed was a little hard, but I would still stay here again and recommend it as the perfect spot in Cinque terre. We didn’t want to leave!

We loved the location of the property. We were overlooking a field of local grown tomatoes which we absolutely loved, it felt so homely. The hotel room and bathroom was a great size, very clean and the shower had fabulous water pressure. The staff were so helpful and lovely all of the time. We loved being able to take our breakfast outside in the mornings (instead of the inside breakfast room). Also, the staff were so kind to pack us a breakfast to take away as we were checking out early. We really felt the warm friendly vibes and that we were taken care of. We’d stay here again!

Nothing to report that we didn’t enjoy.

The hotel is located in what I think is the main street of Monterosso Al Mare, a few minutes walk from the train station and the beach. The staff spoke Italian, English and Spanish. They remembered we speak Spanish and greeted us everytime with a warm "buenos días!" They were very helpful. The room was spacious, sunny and airy, with a super comfy bed, a huge balcony with a great view. The bathroom was comfortable as well, the shower had great water pressure! A nice shampoo was provided. Everything was super clean. We had plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets. The breakfast was fresh and super complete. It had plenty of veggie options, a plus because I travelled with my mum who is vegetarian. A plus, they offered towels for going to the beach which was great!

Wifi was a bit slow and with poor signal in the room. As we stayed only for a night I didn't mind, but for longer stays it would've been a nuisance.

Location was amazing and the staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a substantial selection. The room was very simple but clean and air conditioning was strong. The shower had great water pressure. We loved that the front desk provided dedicated beach towels we could take with us to the beach club. I was surprised I was able to get such a great hotel in Monterosso so last minute and would stay here again.

The bed was topped with a brown cover. Although it appeared to be very clean, we would have preferred plain white sheet encased bedding. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay.

Throughout our vacation in Italy, we had the opportunity to stay at various hotels in Rome, Florence, and Sorrento. However, Hotel Margherita stood out as the ultimate choice in every aspect. The service desk was exceptionally helpful, the breakfast quality and organization were top-notch, and the rooms, along with their spacious bathrooms, left us thoroughly impressed. Undoubtedly, Hotel Margherita was the highlight of our Italian getaway, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

We did not like the fact that we booked only three nights in this hotel. I wish we stayed the whole week there.
