The location of the hotel was good, close to the metro station and we could walk to some some tourist spots. Staff was friendly and discreet. Alex, at the reception, was very professional, who gave us useful information about locations, restaurants and things to try. Thank you

We would have preferred to have some variation in terms of breakfast (i.e. fried eggs instead of scrambled eggs, other types of ham, prosciutto etc.) Although the rooms were clean and bedding changed, the rooms are dated, in need of renovation to change the smell of old.

Lovely hotel with a lovely staff. The location was perfect as well.

We really liked our experience at this hotel, we simply had difficulty working the heater.

This is a small hotel in an excellent area near the Spanish Steps and just steps from a Metro stop. The area has a number of interesting restaurants and shops but is not a super crowded "tourist" area. The hotel has a nice rooftop (and indoor) restaurant and a bar. The rooms are a bit small by American standards but the king size bed was good (ask for extra pillows if you like your head up). Rooms are different some with only shower some with tub/shower. No views but nice buildings across the street. We stayed on "first" floor (second in America). Only thing keeping it from perfect score was funky bath/shower which really was just fine, just different.

Could have had a bit bigger room, but other rooms in the hotel may be larger. Shower was a bit weird but perfectly fine and water is hot. Bars don't open until six so get your afternoon cocktail elsewhere.

The location was spectacular, just a few minutes walk form Spanish steps and Fontana di Trevi. The main purpose of our journey was sightseeing and this hotel was ideal because the most important spots (besides Vatican) are approachable by foot. We took a half-board option and although we arrived late the first evening our dinner waited for us in our hotel room (we asked the hotel staff for that since we already paid it). The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was good (salami, cheese, bread, jams, croissants, etc.) but everyday the same without any vegetables. Dinner included two courses, besides a few dishes which were not that tasty, the food was very good. The staff was great!

I missed the water kettle in the room for making tea and coffee. There were no vegetables served for breakfast. Although we had half-board no sweets were included in the price. So if we wanted to eat a piece of cake for example we had to pay additional 5-10 euros.

The staff was excellent. The location was great. The meals were very good with large portions and well worth the added cost. The hotel was quaint and in keeping with other European experiences. The rooftop restaurant was wonderful, especially our waiter Paublo.

The rooms were large, but the bedroom space was not easy to utilize because of the design which caused difficulty with unpacking and storing luggage. Also, our floor had four stairs not served by the elevator which made taking luggage downstairs when staff was not available to assist at our departure difficult. Pillows were flat meaning additional pillows were needed and only one twin blanket was stored in our room. However, an additional pillow and blanket were provided after our request.

Location was good - easy walk to Trevi and Spanish Steps. Nice rooftop restaurant.

Room size was small and separate beds had no space in between (from USA perspective) but was decent sized and normal for European hotels located in the heart of a city. Not fault of hotel, just result of USA expectations.

I stayed at Albergo Ottocento with my family for 7 nights including Christmas. Booked two rooms. We managed to get both rooms near by. They were both very confortable and super clean. They were made everyday and cleaning lady was super nice. The bathrooms were spacious, very clean and nice, although the shower a little uncomfortable and a little slippery and dangerous for an elderly. Also, if you didn't get up and took a shower early enough, you ended up taking a not so warm shower which happened the first morning. Knowing this, and considering it was an old building, the rest of the mornings we woke up a little earlier so we didn´t encounter that problem again and it helped us take more advantage of the days. It was exactly what we wanted. Centrally located where we could walk everywhere and with breakfast included. Breakfast was good though it could be a little better, maybe in terms of having more fresh fruit. The bread toaster though was horrible. Difficult to manage and very easy to burn yourself with. Aside from that, breakfast is good and complete, perfect for a day of touristing and sightseeing. The staff could be nicer and more eager to help! They even helped us with the "Santa" fantasy for our 9 year old. In all, a jewel of a stay in the beautiful city!

I really enjoy my stay at the hotel. Everyone was really friendly and kind. Even when we had a little misunderstanding, we were able to move things around and resolve it without any discomfort to both sides. The location was perfect. 5-minute walk to Fontana di trevi and 15-minute walk to pantheon. We even went to colosseum and roman forum by foot (although we spent around half an hour walking). The subway was very close as well for when we went to the Vatican museum (only four stops). I would also like to point out that the rooms were very clean with a great vibe. The bathroom was spacious and I counted three huge mirrors with plenty of light to do makeup and get ready. I was pleasantly surprised that there was an elevator because the building wasn't new and we were able to move our luggage to our rooms without having to carry them. An overall nice experience, given the opportunity I will visit them again in the future!

I was expecting to have some salad options in the dinner menu (for half board) and I was a little disappointed. They had informed me that the half board was going to be a la carte and I personally didn't mind at all the fact that we had limited options in comparison to the regular menu, but I expected to have at least some vegan options and also a salad or two. To be fair, we asked them for a vegan plate one time (because my mother was fasting) and the waiter provide us with an alternative. But for that specific day my mother only ate a slice of bread with some marmalade for breakfast and plain spaghetti with garlic for dinner. I think that it would be better if we knew what to expect dinner-wise before booking the half board.
