From the moment we arrived, it was evident that we had stumbled upon a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Rome! We were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for our entire stay. The staff exuded a genuine friendliness, always eager to assist and ensure our comfort. Their willingness to accommodate our needs made us feel valued and appreciated guests. As for the tastefully decorated and well-equipped room, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness and attention to detail. Each morning, we were treated to a delightful breakfast - from savoury options to sweet treats, there was something to satisfy all our cravings. For travellers seeking a convenient and reasonably priced stay in the Eternal City, look no further than Hotel Galatea!

We arrived late and texted the night receptionist who arrived promptly to show us to our room. The room was large, very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we felt very at home. We had breakfast included in our stay which was varied and very tasty. Over breakfast Davide would give us tips on where to go for the best food, next time we come we’re looking for the best shopping! Trevi, Colosseum and Spanish Steps in walking distance, but we took a taxi to the Vatican Museums as it was so hot. Would recommend this hotel to all, we had a fantastic stay.

Excellent location, just by via Nazionale. 10 minutes walk to either Termini Central Station and Cavour Metro station. The Colosseum is also a short walk away. We loved the breakfast as well as the staff, who went the extra mile to ensure we'd get the food we could enjoy (I'm lactose intolerant so they got me lactose free alternatives). The cleanliness also deserves a mention :)

The room was smaller and darker than the pictures made it look like. The hotel is in an old building: beautiful, but that also means that sound insulation is not great - I would recommend bringing some earplugs if you have trouble sleeping with different noises.

We had a good time at Boutique Hotel Galatea! Location was unbeatable - close to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Colosseum. We had a an air conditioning issue on day one, but the hotel went all out to make us comfortable - changed our room, gifted us wine, and left a sweet note at checkout, apologizing for the inconvenience. Reception staff (especially Mohamad and manager Camila) were incredibly helpful and kind. Breakfast team (David and a lovely Filipina lady) were exceptional - super caring and loving to us and our kid. Their warmth made up for any minor problem, and it wasn't their fault anyway. They truly made our stay delightful!

The elevator to the hotel floor is tiny and I’m quite claustrophobic, so if you're like me, get ready to climb three flights of stairs because it'll be better 🫣😂

The whole personnel of the small hotel was just marvellous: they considered us very personally, gave advice and excellent hints. They even arranged super nice welcoming decoration with some sparkling in our hotel room on my birthday. The theme events and specially planned walking trips in the city by the great host Virgilio were truly so much more than the commercial ones. Thank you Virgilio, Camilla, Mattia, Priscilla, Davide and Resel! You made our vacation special. We truly want to recommend Boutique Hotel Galatea!

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. My spouse and I were there on our honeymoon and the staff went above and beyond to decorate our room with balloons and rose petals and write us a handwritten note. The room was a great size, with lots of storage for our bags and belongings. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with shampoo, body wash, lotion, and lots of towels. We had breakfast on the balcony each morning and when we had to check out super early to catch a flight home, the staff made us breakfast boxes to-go. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

I genuinely cannot think of anything that we did not enjoy about the hotel. Nothing but good things to say!

The mattress and pillows were excellent, I slept well starting night 1. Water pressure and temp in shower were excellent. The breakfast room and food were very good. The hotel, Mattia, set up our rides from and to the airport, very helpful. We were in a very good location, walking distance to the metro station and many sites. A wine bar and 4 cafes on our street, make that 6, including an Indian restaurant. AND best of all, an elevator!! Almost forgot, there's also a convenience store on the street.

Could have used 2 luggage stands in the room.

Perfect location for a trip to Rome. The rooms have been small but had everything u need for a fair price when it comes to Rome. The staff have been friendly and helpful all the time.

If there is something to criticize, there was an heavy smell in the room, I wasn’t able to figure out what exactly it was, but it was so strong and the air quality suffered because of it.

First of all, staff were amazing. Every staff member we came into contact with was incredibly cheerful, happy in their work, friendly, chatty, and extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble! We liked the style of the room, it was decorated nicely, and the facilities were of a good standard, including a big TV, comfy bed, good shower (rain and handheld), mini bar. Location was really good. 10 minute walk from Roma Termini railway station, 10 minute walk to the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. Metro stop c5-10 minute walk away, too. Good quality selection at breakfast, mainly continental, but a small hot offering too.

Not much we didn’t like, but the room had a few rough edges that could probably be fairly easily addressed. Things like a fairly large section of chipped paint at one side of the bed behind one of the bedside tables, loose wardrobe door knobs, loose fitting pipe cover to the towel rail in the room. Toilet also had a bit of an issue with not knowing when to stop refilling, but think that was related to the flush as well. All minor things in the grand scheme of things, but would’ve just elevated it further.
