Location is excellent. Beautiful place and you can walk to some attractions. There is subway station near ( couple of minutes to walk) and several bus stops, including all hopoff hopon buses. Several restaurants just next to the door. Staff is very good. Room - depends which one you get, all clean. Breakfast was pretty good, may be they could have wider variety of food. Rooms were spacious enough for our needs.

People has to be aware that there are 12 steep steps just to get into hotel and 4-6 steps to get into your room on the floor First suite we had, had several very small problems which devalued hotel for us. Second suite we got because elevator got broken. It was excellent.

The location and the staff are number one, and I also commend the property on its cleanliness. From here in Piazza Barberini everything is walkable while also being more quiet because of its location. The staff were helpful from the moment I inquired online to check-in until check-out and they make their guests feel comfortable. The rooms were bigger than expected, and more than enough for several nights stay in Rome. We found the bathroom clean and its amenities very good. Breakfast is also quite good and plentiful and is a great way to start your day of walking around the city center. All in all I would recommend this property to even my closest of friends.

the prices of hotels in Rome these days are very high and this hotel is no exception. But this is not the property's fault as the entire city is overbooked with tourists and hotels are trying to cope with demand, driving the prices up. If you are able to book in advance (as I only booked a week before the trip hence the higher than usual prices I paid), then book at Hotel Alexandra with no hesitation!

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was nice, especially the receptionist in the evenings who helped us with everything we needed.

great location. very clean. lovely staff. we had a junior suite for four people and it was a great size and I would say recently decorated. the bathroom was lovely. metro is right outside the hotel, which we used to get to the colosseum and Vatican, but we walked back from both. very easy walking distance to Spanish steps, pantheon and trevi fountain, and my husband has limited mobility but managed all easily. we enjoyed restaurants around the trevi fountain area most, but there are some nice restaurants closer to the hotel too. hotel is not super fancy but clean and staff are very helpful. would stay there again.

reception area could do with an update but that’s just asthetic.

It was situated on the avenue in Berbelini. By pure accident and at the courtesy of the manager, I was upgraded and could spend quiet time to myself.

There were a few steps to the reception that required hotel staff support. Thank you for kind help. It would be nice to have an access elevator.

Superb location on quiet tree-lined street near Borghese Gardens and US Embassy. Clean attractive old hotel with very good breakfast available.

A caution for anyone who has problems walking, this hotel has several stairs leading up into the lobby from the street and some rooms have additional stairs although there is an elevator in the building. Our room was well appointed but small so very serviceable if you are out all day, but not so good if you stay in the room all day.

Breakfast was plentiful and varied.

The shower drain was partially clogged so we would get wet then turn off the shower, soap up, then rinse off. Previous guests had disregarded the drain issue and allowed water to seep to the parquet floor. The hotel had screwed down the floor by the bathroom where the floor had started to buckle from water damage. We did not want to cause any further damage. The maintenance person simply needs to clean out the drain so that the water drains properly.

Good location. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Excellent breakfast. Excellent for buses/ metro. Quiet area. No parked cars to negotiate. Leafy trees line via Veneto. Easy access up via Veneto to Borghese gardens / Gallery. Two Bernini fountain sculptures sited very nearby. Piazza Barberini and Palazzo Barberini almost on doorstep/ nearby. Trattoria Tritone on Via dei Maroniti and it’s sister Trattoria were found good places to eat and near to hotel.

The room was silent and had a private outside yard. The staff was kind, specially Giada, the female receptionist of the night shift. The spot is very cose to the subway and a lot of the touristic attractions (but keep in mind that this factor also demands more caution when choosing where to eat, because it is a very touristic spot).

The bathroom is really small and apparently did not receive re remodelling that the room received. Also it was a little bit tricky to have the hot water out, but the receptionist was kind enough to explain the way and we managed to get hot shower properly. Regarding the breakfast, the only thing I would have appreciated was to find some ham and cheese. The breakfast has a lot of options, fruits, yogurts, cereals, pastries of a lot of kinds, but some ham and cheese would help to get some satisfaction for a longer period, specially for diabetic people.
