We enjoyed staying at the Amalfi Hotel. First and foremost the location of this property is amazing , right I front of Santa Maria Maggiore and the square , surrounded by many coffee shops and restaurants, great food options. Hotel is a very old and historic place, very small rooms and bathrooms , but so clean and offers all amenities. You can tell it’s been In The family for many years and they take care of their place really well, they put their heart and soul in making sure guests are taken care of. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were quite good as well for an additional cost , but great!

It is compact and nice hotel, close to good places for breakfast and supper, termini, metro, 15 min walk to colosseum, it has terrace and nice view from the 5th floor, you can check out very early by just leaving the key. We did not use the breakfast at the hotel so I cannot rate it. The staff is very friendly and polite. The beds are very comfortable.

Roma tax information is not updated anywhere. On the wall in the room the tax information was outdated. It was increased to 6 euro per night per person for 3 star hotel since January 2024. I think it would be fair to update it.

This is a very nice, small hotel in great location, just a few minutes from Termini station. The staff is great and takes good care of their guests. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity, you will find any type of food you like. I particularly liked the fact that you can easily walk to many main tourist attractions from the hotel.

The hotel is quite small, so the rooms are not too spacious but if you're travelling solo or as a couple, you should be fine. Also, the level of comfort may depend on who is staying in the room next to yours because the walls are quite thin and noise travels easily.

Breakfast plentiful and varied. My husband is gluten intolerant and they had catered specifically for him. Staff were very friendly and helpful, Alessandro was particularly helpful and always ready to chat with us. Location good especially if you are using the excellent Hop on Hop off bus as the hotel is located close to Stop No. 2 so you usually have no problem getting a seat. We were in an 'economy' room which although on the small side was perfectly adequate, well equipped and very clean. Our room (211) was on the front so we did experience traffic noise but when the window was closed or even just pushed to almost closed it cut the noise out almost completely. Plenty of good places to eat in close proximity. We would stay again.

Nothing. It was exactly as described with the addition of lovely staff.

This is the hotel that made me not want to leave. The night before I left Rome, I thought I gonna cry when I sat in front of Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore which guided me way back to the Hotel Amalfi when I lost in Rome. I met Emilio on the first night who told me how to walk to Colosseo in a breeze. Then the owner of the hotel insisted to made me a rich cappuccino the next day. The kitchen lady woke me up with her abundant breakfast. The gorgeous girl at the front desk taught me how to understand the bus routes in Rome. Another handsome young man at the front desk watched my rental bike when I locked it outside the hotel... All the little things and people in Hotel Amalfi touched my heart, I knew I will go back to Rome because of them. Additionally, this hotel is in a prime location. I literally walked everywhere I wanted. The Basilica of Saint Praxedes has the best Byzantine mosaics in Rome and is 30 meters away; don't even mention the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore which is my guide in the darkness. Roma Termini, Metro A, and B are just 5 minutes walk. Not to mention Molino, Bar Cottini, and Regoli Pasticceria which fed me days and nights are all nearby. First, I was drawn to magnificent architecture and thrilling arts in Italy. Then I realized the truth is I fell in love with one of the kindest, most vibrant, and fun-to-share people in Italy. My heart left in Italy because of your hospitality and genuine welcome. Ciao!

Walking past this hotel in the street, you wouldn't know it was there. Absolute hidden gem of a hotel, perfect location with main attractions all in a 20-minute walking distance. If you don't want to walk, the hop on hop off city tour bus stop is a 3 minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and pharmacies in the area. Lovely hotel, great room, bed comfy and shower was excellent. The hotel was very clean and our rooms were made up and cleaned every day without fail. Lovely view from our window, will definitely recommend and be staying here again when we return. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and made our stay wonderful.

The service was exceptional. A light bulb was replaced within 10 minutes of alerting the front desk staff. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating to our needs. When we mentioned that we would not be at breakfast the next morning due to an early morning tour, the staff suggested that we come an hour before opening to get toast and jam.

The bathroom was very small. The bed's mattress was a bit hard for me but I realize that is a personal choice.

Our stay at Hotel Amalfi was wonderful. The room was clean. The beds were firm but comfortable. The only thing we weren’t used to was the size of the shower. It was a little small but did the trick for a 3 day stay in Rome. The hotel was near most things, VERY close to the hop on hop off bus stop. The restaurants and bakeries nearby were delicious. The room was also very quiet for being in a busy road. I would definitely stay there again if coming back to Rome.

The size of the shower was a little small.

It is at a superb location near the Main Terminal and the Santa Maria Maggiore Square, walking distance to many attractions and well connected to everything basically. Eataries are everywhere and they close late too. The bed was great and it had a very nice shower, perfect for after a day of exploring. The decors and artwork were astonishing and breakfast for food was great

The room was too small with a big bed, but since I was alone and didnt spend much time in the room, it was fine for me.

The hotel's location is excellent. We walked to most major sights. The staff at the hotel reception was very helpful. Thank you. The breakfast was also very good, lovely staff on all days. I would definitely come and stay again.

The rooms are a little small and it is hard to manoeuvre around. The twin room in particular. However, we hardly spent any time in the room, so it didn't matter that much.
