This is the residence to the Mecenate Palace Hotel, which is next door, and looks very posh. You have to go there to check in, where you're greeted by really friendly staff (thanks a lot for the plug adaptor!) I had a very pleasant stay. The bed was big and comfortable, the room and the bathroom were both spacious, and I really liked the high ceilings. The residence is in a practical and atmospheric part of town, quite near (not too near!) the Termini Railway station and within walking distance of all the central sights. I'd certainly stay again.

It’s very close to Termini (5 min walk) and Residenza is very easy to locate as it’s a few doors down from the Hotel Mecenate. The staff was very helpful and took our luggage to the room for us. The room is spacious and they provided water for us in the room (one sparkling, one still)

I had no problem with the property but I do recommend to pack lite if booking here or be prepared to do some lifting as the rooms are on the first floor and there’s no lift.

Location was perfect. Staff exemplary. Quiet and safe, easy to use card entry. Well stocked with amenities. Air conditioning was super.

My partner and I liked the closeness of the bus station, the location, the staff, the cleanness, the roof bar, the comfort and the antique style of the building and its room. The area with the historical buildings and nice restaurants is also good.

The pre-communication could have been better when I wanted to make sure the accommodation is accessible by lift as I am wheelchair user. They said sure just to realize it's not. Then we got an accessible room with no additional fee which is actually correct as the one I originally booked was even more expensive. Then at checking out we were charged with 30 more euros (local taxes). That wasn't clear again: don't the prices displayed on the booking or website contain all the taxes?

We were pleasantly surprised at how the hotel was - it is much nicer than it appears in the photos and the room actually is quite large - bigger than we expected after experiencing small Italian hotels. It’s connected to a large 4 star hotel as well who are happy to hold your luggage and are very kind and helpful!

It wasn’t completely clear when we booked that it’s connected to another hotel and not one in its own right however this doesn’t affect your stay at all! Although be aware there is a small flight of steps up - this is just something we noticed as I have an older mother in law who this is an issue for!

The Residenza Mecenate is an interesting annex to the main 4 star hotel but provided a very decent-sized and comfortable room with a generous en-suite bathroom both of which were spotlessly clean albeit on the verge of looking a little tired and needing a splash of paint. The staff were all lovely and the breakfast on the roof terrace restaurant excellent value with stunning views. I would definitely stay again and would not hesitate to recommend. Being near the main train station and Metro, the hotel is ideally placed to get to most of the main tourist destinations.

The room was probably in need of a splash of paint to freshen it up and a few more English speaking channels on the TV would have been nice.

To have an apartment fir that price was amazing can use hotel next doors resturaunt breakfast etc. Great position. Actually directly on a piazza and opera. You Gere the bells chime. Great shops and bakery's and gelati. Lot of cheap market type stalls. 5 mins to Roma terminal. I wish I could have found this place sooner.

Map of hiw to get there too complicated makes it seem miles away. When it's five minutes just use the great landmark next to it.

Lovely facilities, and fantastic staff. Everyone was so helpful throughout the stay. We were allowed to check in four hours early after arriving in Rome on an early morning flight, and when we had a late flight home we were able to store our bags in storage for many hours after we checked out, no problems at all. Location was wonderful - just five minutes to the nearest Metro station and about fifteen minutes to the Collosseum. Plenty of bars/ cafes/ restuarants in the surrounding area too. Rome is absolutely massive, but this hotel hit a good sweet spot in that it was close enough to most major attractions, and Metro stations, meaning that to see the majority of the sights you didn't have to do hours of walking just to get there. Air conditioning was a blessing! Came during a very hot week, and unlike a lot of hotels I've been to it actually worked really well. Sometimes it's the little things that add up. Room was cleaned every day (which we weren't expecting!) and to a very high standard. Can't praise the staff enough. Would come back here if we were staying in Rome again :)

There was a little courtyard outside a few of the rooms near ours (we were in the executive section of the hotel) and while it was nice and shaded it would have been nice if the courtyard had a few more features in it (just a couple of benches!) so guests can enjoy the area.

The location was great for access to Termini, grabbing a bite, visiting tourist shops, and walking to sites. The hotel staff members were all super helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a hot water kettle and a mini fridge. So we could keep some skyr cold and have it and tea for breakfast.

The water temp in the shower was inconsistent - changing to really hot or very cold and back to the temp you picked throughout your shower...
