Hot water has it's own life, sometimes it's warm, sometimes not, pressure is bad, shower head was broken and staff didn't fix it during our stay. Of course, hotel response will be that I am lying :)

The room was ultra quiet, and on a cute little side street with easy access to the train station and cafes. The hotel owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. The bathroom door squeaked the first night, and we asked about it and it was fixed the next night. We hear NOTHING in our room and slept peacefully. The owner also told us where to find Maritozzi over by the Vitorio Emanuel Park: Pasterrie Regali. And our room was on the top floor by the veranda, which was gorgeous with a great view of Roman ruins. Breakfast was I expensive and tasty, and we were able to leave our luggage downstairs after we checked out since our train did not leave until later in the day. Everyone spoke English, and were very kind. We would definitely stay here again!! 20 stars!

Hotel Balilla is PERFETTA!!! Carlo and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our trains were late all day and I kept in touch with the hotel to let them know our arrival. Carlo was waiting in the doorway for us, checked us in, and took our bags to the room. Our room, as well as the entire hotel, was very clean! The air conditioner kept our room very cool and WiFi was fast! Hotel Balilla is very close to Roma Termini Station, within a 10 minute walk. Also, if you’re looking for the hop on hop off bus, it is around 10-15 min walk. It is stop number two near Santa Maria Maggiore.

The hotel was only 10/15 minutes walk from the Metro station which made connection very easy from Ciampino airport (I just took the local bus to Cinecittà and changed with the direct Metro to the hotel). It's also nicely connected to Termini as I flew out of Fiumicino, the tram is 5 minutes away. The room was very comfortable, all very clean, WIFI worked very good and the bathroom had hairdryer (I specificy since I always need it and it's not always there!). Signor Carlo is very kind and friendly!

I was just wondering if the check-out would be possibile after 23 if anything happens with the flight, rather than that, all super!

Good windows - they block a lot of the outside sound out. Location 1 - it’s on a pretty quiet street Location 2 - it’s only a 10-15 minute walk to all the main areas Staff - the staff, especially Carlo, we’re lovely :-) Room layout - you can’t hear other guests because the rooms are arranged so that bathrooms are next to each other.

If I’m being picky, the bidet was in an awkward position and the room itself was quite small, but I think that’s a fact of life in such a busy city! But these are very minor points.

Ghena and Carlo very helpful. Support us with lots information, also helped us call taxi to the airport early morning. They have elevator but you still need to use 5 or 6 stairs up or down from front door to get the elevator. Location about 1 km from Termini station, 400m to the nearest metro. Easy to walk around Rome with metro or foot. Taxi to airport cost 55 euro. Balilla also have outdoor space at 3rd floor with table and chair facing old roman ruin. A good place to spend evening outdoor.

The staff was very kind to us. The room, despite small, was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is located in a narrow and not so bright street, but we have not experienced any problem whatsoever as the street is definitely calm and safe. Also, public transports are near the hotel and one can take the bus/metro to the center and get there in a couple of minutes (walking is also a valid option).

The water pressure of the shower could be better.

We really enjoyed our stay: the room is clean and nicely decorated. The roomservice was perfect. We especially enjoyed the evenings on the rooftop terrace. The hotelteam is very friendly. If you spend a trip to Rome, the hotel is perfect: the Termini station is nearby, the tram station is a two minute walk away. We will book this hotel again when we are in Rome.

This is not the hotel’s fault, but another guest got locked out of their room at 1:30 AM and was wandering around our floor banging on our door and everyone else’s door yelling angrily. It would be good if there was an emergency number guests could call after hours if this happens because it was very distressing to us

fantastic Hotel, owners very welcoming and helpful. extremely clean rooms very comfortable, absolutely loved it, 10 minutes walk to Manzoni metro 4 stops to trevi 5 stops Spanish steps. 20 min walk to colosseum. 15 min walk to termini. cannot wait to stay again.
