I am a Senior US Military Officer in Vicenza Italy. My family and I stayed at this property this past weekend. First visit to Rome for me, 2nd for my wife & 13 year-old daughters The B&B was exceptional! Recently renovated during COVID-19 pandemic (2021). Bathroom and beds were exquisite. Room was spacious, had a view, and being Rome, the walls are 15th century concrete, so you can here "nothing" from your neighbors. The lady who checked us in (Rossana?) was an absolute doll. So kind and caring to us and she LOVED our 110lb Doberman Maximus - and there was no additional charge for the dog to stay (which is rare in Italy!) This property is 1.2 miles from the train station, and 4 min walk to the Collesium! Very centrally located to see all of Rome's history! I would absolutely stay here again! :-)

Wi-Fi could have been better, and showers go COLD after 10 minutes...

Went for a short break and had the most amazing time staying at il Covo, The room was spotless with everything working perfectly and a beautiful view of the streets below from our room. The local cafe where breakfast is served was a minute walk around the corner and was delicious. The location was amazing, with lots of hidden restaurants within a few minutes walking distance, and shops with everything you could need e.g pharmacy, local shop, ice creams etc. So close to the colosseum which was breathtaking to see down the street from us. And other monuments within a 30 min walk Would definitely recommend staying here for anyone who likes being in a buzzing centre. Can’t wait to stay again!

- Great location, specially for short stays. - Breakfast option given at the nearby restaurant is convenient and good. - The bed was very comfortable, however if you are taller than 1.75m your feet may hang off bed. - The room was spacious, comfortable and neat. - Walking distance from main landmarks

- Shower seemed to be clogged so every time we showered it was like standing on a shallow swimming pool. - You can hear external noise from the streets and there was a construction nearby happening eary morning.

Excellent location. Room was larger than expected and well kept. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean. Staff are friendly and eager to help. Terrace is so nice!! Make sure you go up there and relax. They made it so pretty and comfortable to relax.

Wifi did not work in the room so if you need to do anything important, it’s annoying to have to go downstairs, around the corner to the lobby for wifi and lose privacy as well. However, when the front desk realized it wasn’t working in my room, they were eager to move me to another room which was hospitable. I asked for my room not to be cleaned to the front desk and to the cleaning staff personally, but they cleaned it anyway (there’s no do not disturb signs for the doors) and sure enough, a paper went missing probably thrown out by accident. So that was annoying too. My room was on the 2nd floor so if you have heavy bags, something to keep in mind.

Residence Il Covo B&B is located right where the action is. I don’t mean the Colosseum, Trevi or Spanish Steps – which are all 10-15 min walk away… I meant Monti – it has a completely different vibe from the very touristy scene in Rome. Monti is energetic, lively with eclectic garment n jewelry shops, charming eateries and is populated with locals. Since we were there on Liberation Day or ‘Bella Ciao’ Day, it was buzzing with holiday nonchalance and the day’s most hard-pressed discussion: whether Napoli winning Serie A with or without Maradona would be deserving or not. None of us knew the language but we got the drift and enjoyed it. The quadruple room was not the largest for a family of 4 adults but was tastefully designed with all the amenities in place. And since we were out most times, it didn’t matter. The best amenity by far was the breakfast arrangement – warm, freshly baked croissants, cheese, butter, ham, tea, coffee, juice, yoghurt at a place just down the lane by Piazza della Madonna dei Monti. This forced everyone to wake up at a decent hour and scurry towards the eatery. The staff we didn’t see much but for the person who came up and thoroughly cleaned the rooms. And of course, Adrija at the reception, who was very helpful right from the time we made the booking until she called in a cab for Termini.

We were too busy being happy to be picky. Hence, liked everything.

I was a bit late because my flight got delayed but the lady in the reception waited for me, I really appreciated that cause my family and I were tired from an almost 5 hour delay. The lady took us to the hotel room, which is one block away from the reception and explained everything to us including where the brekfast place was. The location is very coinvenient. You can pretty much go walking from there to anywhere.

Convenient location, just a couple of minutes from Cavour Metro station. Walking distance to many tourist landmarks. Surrounded by several good options. Lovely, helpful staff. The rooms are recently renovated and cleaned daily.

It appears we got a room which was adjoining to the next room as it had a door to the next room. We could hear every detail of our neighbour’s conversations and movements, which means they could probably hear us too. This caused some disturbance but wasn’t too much of a problem.

it has real, vintage Italy feeling inside. The staff is amazing, raised the temperature in the room, once we asked, additionally, was very kind and made the room available for check-in sooner (which was very comfortable for us), and stored our bags for a moment, even when we already checked out. The location is more than amazing, everything is a few steps away. The Room was super tidy.

It was a bit cold at first, but the staff adjusted that once we asked. At times, I could here the family in another room, bit it was just one morning.

Loved the decor of the room and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved the street the hotel was on. The breakfast was from a local cafe, just around the corner and it was great! Was no trouble at all, lots of food to get ready for a day full of lots of walking.

Walls of hotel are thin which was fine during our stay as there wasn’t many people there, but can imagine if hotel is busy, might become an issue for some.

The location was great! The room had air conditioning that was cold. The water pressure was strong and we never ran out of hot water. The design was unique and we would not have had that a regular hotel. All of the staff were very kind and helpful.

After long days of walking around Rome the steep stairs were hard to do at the end of each day.
