I stayed for 3 nights at Il Barbero, and had a wonderful stay. The B&B is well positioned for all the major sites, and about a 20min walk from top of the hill after the Train station (I took a bus from the Train station to the first major bus stop after the hill climb was over!). If you do not feel like walking, taxi's are also available. The area was great to walk around, with restaurants and assorted shops nearby, and at no time did I feel unsafe (I travelled alone). The Room had lots of space, the bed was comfortable, a great waterfall shower and excellent Wifi. You could also get the English satellite news channels for those that like to keep up with the news! Breakfast was a mix of savory and sweet items from a buffet, and then a "chosen" item ordered the night before such as a toasted sandwich, waffle or pancakes. The communication before and during the visit from Sara was excellent, the B&B was easy to find, and as I thought I would arrive after reception closed, codes were provided so that I could easily get into my room. Sara also provides a map of Siena and an info booklet on the town, which although I had done pre-research, proved to be very useful. There are various walks suggested in the booklet, which also gave a different perspective on Siena. Sara also provides a very good info book herself of general info such as recommended restaurants etc, and is on hand to answer any queries you may have - one of the best B&B owners I have met from that perspective. A great place to stay in Siena!

Nothing, the B&B met every expectation

We really enjoyed our stay at B& il Barbero. Sara & Eugenio were perfect hosts. We chose to have breakfast there which was very reasonably priced and ideal for what we wanted. The room was modern and clean with air con which we used during our stay as it was very warm. The location was excellent for getting to the main tourist parts of Siena. Whilst there we took the opportunity to have some time away from the crowds by using the garden which was a lovely setting and nice to bring a bottle of wine back to enjoy which we did.

We liked everything about this property and was the best one we stayed at during our trip.

Clean comfortable accommodation with modern decor. Family run by Sara and Eugine with help from her mum. All really friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble. Centrally located and has access within the ztl. for loading/unloading plus free parking only 5 minutes walk away. Lovely views across Siena from the lounge and garden.

Accommodation is on 3rd floor up a steep staircase

Great location and environment . The whole apartment is very quiet at night, you can have a good sleep even at 9pm. There were some little problems with the shower jet and one of the window at first cuz previous guest might use them the wrong way, but staff helped fix them. Anyway, recommend it.

Staff could not be reached in the evening, so it is recommended check in as early as possible.

Lovely tranquil setting on the edge of the old town of Siena. Amazing view from the room of Tuscan hills. Easy to walk into town and see the sights. Very clean and comfortable and a friendly welcome from Sara and staff. Very good and plentiful breakfast buffet.

Nothing I didn't like. Its a small B&B so what it lacks in facilities it makes up for in intimacy and personal service.

We booked last minute and couldn't have been happier. The lady that greeted us (the owner's mum) was such a delight and made our stay memorable. The B & B was themed around Palio winning horses from her district and she was so proud her district had recently won the Palio. She gave us great recommendations for restaurants and other things to do. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was also very good

We stayed in il Barbero for three nights and used it as a base to explore some Tuscan Hill Towns. Breakfasts were very good and we loved sitting outside admiring the gardens and enjoying the antics of the swallows. My one food allergy was taken very seriously and each morning I was told what I wasn't allowed to eat! Sara and the staff were very friendly and helpful with practical advice and went out of their way to try and get us taxis. (Very difficult in Sienna.) It was easy to walk into the town center and we were close to one of the city gates which enabled us to park our rental car part way down the hill for free and we could walk up and down to access it.

I stayed one night, arrived after checking time but the staff was very helpful and gave me a code. The house is within the city walls and perfectly situated. My room was surprisingly big for being in such an old house. It had a balcony with amazing city view. The bathroom was nice. Breakfast was also good. I can recommend the B&B

Great location. Just away from the very busiest areas of Siena, but only 5 minutes walk to the Duomo or 10 to the Piazza del Campo. Sara who runs things is very friendly and helpful. Rooms newly decorated, good size, and comfortable. Lovely terrace at the back overlooking rooftops and hills.

It's a family run B&B so there isn't an all day reception etc but Sara was flexible and helpful in sorting out check in etc.

Beautiful B&B in central Siena, a few minutes walk from Piazza del Duomo and Piazza del Campo but in a quiet part of this stunning city. Sara and her staff are very welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay really special. Although Il Barbero is in a restricted area, there are plenty of parking options available. Modern and comfortable rooms with all amenities - air conditioning, efficient wi-fi, crisp bedding, fluffy towels and amazing toiletries! Nice breakfast served on a cute little terrace overlooking the garden. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend!
