Hotel is a few minutes walk from Siena train station via the shopping mall. Restaurants are within 10 minute walking distance and key tourist attractions can be reached with 20 minutes. Francesca at reception was especially helpful in providing guidance about places to eat, and how to spread out my time spent. She even highlighted a few lesser known places for me to visit. Clean and comfortable rooms, with an excellent array of breakfast options. An enjoyable stay and I would absolutely go again!

Mattresses were a little soft for my liking.

Superb location with a delightful breakfast to start the day , including lots of healthy options. it was great to have a 24 hour reception which is lacking in so many hotels these days and the staff were extremely helpful , going out of their way to help with transport,making recommendations and printing off maps, timetables etc. And the bus from Florence and to San Gimignano can be caught across the road from the hotel, without the need to go to the bus station. I would definitely come back here

It was great to be able to leave your luggage after checking out but I felt it needed to be more secure and out of the way

The staff at the hotel were exceptionally wonderful and helpful. My friend broke her ankle just before we arrived and the hotel staff arranged for a taxi to the hospital, provided information on where to get crutches, assisted at the breakfast buffet, provided everything we needed in the room and then organized a car and driver for us to hire to take us to the Rome airport when we were leaving. They went out of their way to make things as easy as possible during a difficult time. Their caring and compassion was so impressive. I should also mention that the hotel was lovely and that our room was large, clean and very comfortable.

The breakfast staff was attentive and ensured everything was well-stocked and presented nicely. The hotel's location is perfect for exploring Siena. It is just a short walk away from the famous Piazza del Campo and other major attractions. I found it convenient to explore the city on foot and return to the hotel whenever I needed a break. Overall, Hotel Italia in Siena provided a delightful stay with its comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siena for its excellent value and enjoyable experience.

We booked a standard room but got a superior one for no extra charge! The receptionists were very friendly and really helpful. The bathroom was very nice and well equipped. And of course, we loved the breakfast! :)

Most probably it's something typically Italian because we also encountered it in another accommodation - there was no duvet, only a bed sheet and the bedspread/quilt and it was too thin for us, so we were cold at night, at least without switching on the air conditioning (with that on it was too hot though). However, there were two blankets available but without a cover. Everything else was great in this hotel!!!! :)

location and staff were the best! super quiet. Easy 2 block walk to enter the walls of the city. Excellent gelato a block away. Hotel has recommendations on cooking classes and other activities posted in the hotel. i missed/didnt understand the suggestion about the escalator from the train station. You exit the train station. Go across to what appear to be shops. take the escalator up and everytime you see another escalator keep going up. Once you reach the top and go outside, go right and Hotel Italia will be about a block down on your left.

Lovely room with two twin beds together as a matrimoniale. Good TV and cable reception, overlooking the garden next door. Easy walk down a city block from the top of the Antiporta escalators from the train station, bus stop into the center just down the street. Nice, helpful staff, great breakfast with eggs, wurstel, cold cuts, yogurt, even a small chocolate fountain to dip food into. I would definitely stay here again. Very convenient if staying overnight for the University of Siena language exams.

Beds could have been a bit more comfortable but the linens were lovely.

Nice hotel. Clean, good breakfast and helpful staff. No disturbances - peaceful and quiet when we were there. Hotel is close to the Antiporto and a short walking distance from Porto Camollia. Easy to get to by bus (Firenze bus stops almost on the doorstep). Arriving by train you will go through the mall (escalators will bring you to the Antiporto exit).

No separate storage rom for the luggage (after checkout), but we could use the hall and that worked well too.

The location of the hotel was important as we want to be close to the train station. In Sienna, the free travelator runs directly from the station right into the town at the top of the hill and the hotel is just 200 metres from the exit. So easy, and a bonus if arriving late at night. The hotel is an easy stroll on the flat to the historical centre of the city. The room was large and comfortable for a stay of several days. Very clean with good quality linen and freshened up every day. The included breakfast was just wonderful.

The breakfast spread was really good. Hotel staff were helpful in providing resources during our stay (map and suggestions on attractions) and calling a taxi for us the day we left when it was pouring rain. Rooms were clean and good size. Location was quiet and an easy 10-15 minutes walk to reach the main attractions in old town Siena.

Minor complaint, but the hotel staff's suggestion for dinner was just OK and their recommendation for a reservation at opening time was definitely misguided and seemed to be geared for busy-tourist season (we were the only ones in the restaurant for the first 20 minutes).
