You don't stay at Podere Il Pero, you feel at home! A place where every plant, every scent, every tree, every decorative object has a story. Il Pero is Tuscany within Tuscany itself. The comfort and care of the room with a very comfortable bed, clean and scented sheets and towels. The shower is perfect. Everything is perfect! A charming farm with a strategic location in a quiet neighborhood, a location where birds provide the soundtrack. Gianni, Giovanna and Lorenzo have the most affectionate smiles and hugs we found in all of Italy. As wonderful and enjoyable as starting the day to discover the villages and small towns of Chianti or Val D'orcia, it was returning "home" at the end of the afternoon and finding Giovana's friendliness, Gianni's attention and care and the Lorenzo's smile for a welcoming and pleasant chat. What a great place to stay when visiting Siena. A great host Gianni and his familty, always available for anything required or any questions. Lovely 2 room apartment very well equipped, free parking in the garden area and very spacious all round. A 20-30 miniute walk into town along the main road which we really liked as it meant we didn't have to take the car into town. The apartment has been converted from an old barm retaining many of the original features. Would have absolutely no hesitation to stay again Thanks for your hospitality will see you again

It was a shame that the hotel wasn’t doing breakfast, but on the other hand this meant I got straight out of the door in the morning and spent more time in Siena!

This was a great space to stay! We were able to hike into town (took about 20-25 minutes) and have dinner our first night in. You're close enough but also a long the outskirts so you aren't too engulfed with tourist-trap places. Gianni, our host, was also just absolutely amazing. He helped carry bags in, was happy to tell us about Siena, and even recommended how best we experience the Palio!

Nothing, everything was great!

We liked everything! First of all, the owners, are very friendly and wonderful people! They helped us with absolutely everything we needed (maps, information about restaurants, transport, shops, the history of the town, about nearby beaches etc). The property have a large and beautiful garden. Gianni`s mother and father are great people! If Italy has people like that, it means it`s a wonderful country!

We really enjoyed our stay in Il Pero. Everything is tidy and clean. The location is amazing, it is just outside Siena with shops nearby for anything you might need. Gianni is very polite and friendly and gave us excellent suggestions for everything, from parking spots, to restaurants and scenic routes in the area. We will definitely be coming back!

The room was very comfortable, and the location was within a 15min walk (uphill to the walled town and downhill back) that wasn't too challenging if you enjoy reasonable mobility. Breakfast was not available at the dwelling, that does allow more time in the town, and lot's of choice there. A little bus makes the journey every 15mins, tickets at the tobacconist near the stop. Private car park was good, and the host Jon was great. Seinna is amazing; for us we were travelling home from Greece through Italy from Bari to Calais. The on-board mapping system took us to the entrance driveway, from the supplied info.

The hotel is very beautiful and cute. It has a very stylish design and very nice yard with lemon trees. The owner was very helpful and gave us the information about the nearest laundry where we cleaned our clothes. The bed was super comfortable and it is very quiet there so we had a nice sleep. Highly recommend for nature lovers and those who are looking for sth authentic in Italy!

The location requires the car, it is possible to walk to Siena historic center (around 20 -25 min), but the walk is not super nice and especially if you go back late after dinner might be dangerous (narrow roads with no lights and pavement). But there are some restaurants and shops very close to the hotel too.

Gorgeous charming house with tradition nestled in carefully and beautifully decorated and maintained garden. The host is very welcoming ...walking distance to the city center or quick bus ride...We liked everything about this place!!

Everything was perfect....I would only suggest to offer breakfast as the garden is just perfect for such pleasure

The property is lovely with beautiful views of the countryside and the host was amazing.

We couldn't linger in the mornings because we had to walk to town (a short walk) for coffee. A coffee machine at the hotel would be a perfect touch.
