Palazzo Salamone’s team were very welcoming and took extremely attentive care of our needs during our stay. Located within a gorgeously-restored traditional building within the heart of the old town, our hotel room was modern and comfortable, with very good in-room amenities. The breakfast served at the hotel was excellent – we only wished we had stayed longer so we could sample dinner. We very much look forward to booking that on a return visit!

Parking can be difficult in the area, but this is to be expected given it is a historical old town. However the hotel is walking distance from 24-hour car park facilities or the hotel additionally offers a car valet service.

The location is very nice, the room was looking nice and elegant.

The room was on ground floor, near the restaurant and we heard the noise from outside until 2-3 am. Also, i had different expectations regarding the services offered by the personnel of the hotel. For example, at the breakfast, it was a single lady serving (with some delays even the tables were not full) and 3 persons at the reception looking on us. We checked in on my birthday but even we received some fruits as compliments from the hotel for staying there, no one didn’t notice the date (the reservation was made on my name). So for a 5 stars hotel, the attention for the details was totally missing.

The location is really great. You're right in the mix and walking distance to so many shops, restaurants, cafes and tourist attractions. There's no parking onsite, so you'll have to park in public lot about 10 min walk from the hotel. The hotel restaurant is amazing, on the pricey side, but definitely worth it for a special meal.

The room we had was on 2 floors, with the bed room being on top floor. I'm over 6 feet, with a ceiling that slopes over the bed, I would hit my head on the ceiling every time got out of bed. There are also a lot of bright lights emitting from the light/climate control panels in the bed rooms. The room itself was small with a strange layout.

Staff was very welcoming and always promt to helping with any question. Location is really good, on the South end of Ortigia, walking distance to all attractions in the historic centre. Bathroom amenities are locally braded and overall facilities have got good design and are well taken care of.

Parking in Ortigia is restricted (as in most of Sicily), but the hotel has got a good agreement with a parking facility with a valet service. This worked well at the end for us but can go either way regarding waiting times and/or taking care of the car. Keep this in mind if you are particular regarding who drives you rented automobile.

The hotel has been beautifully created in an old palazzo and is modern and stylish with high quality fixtures and fittings. The room was immaculate with an excellent shower and luxurious bedding. The restaurant was out of our price range but is Michelin rated and has an adventurous menu. Staff are professional and helpful.

The terrace and "garden" were a little disappointing. I had anticipated more space but this a minor issue

Outstanding staff service. Spacious rooms snd bathrooms. Beautiful hotel design. Excellent, quiet location, easy walking to all areas of interest as well as restaurants, cafes, etc.

Turning to walk up to the first floor (where our room was) there is a completely dark corner over the stairs, which we used regularly. Up or down after dark, this needs further lighting for safety. (Also), though just relevant to our room, our living room curtains opened directly into the public hallway; there were no other windows so there was no natural light available. Bedroom curtains could barely open either; so though we purchased a very high end suite there was no daylight/natural light available. This was extremely frustrating.

I loved the way this beautiful old property was renovated to a very modern standard. Very much my taste. Breakfast was not included but I was glad we paid extra as it was delicious. It was a last minute booking and if I’d planned ahead, I’d have also made a dinner reservation for the Cortile restaurant, as the food looked exquisite!

We had a minor glitch with the shower in the morning, but this was fixed right away.

Great location and sleekly designed! Literally a stones throw from all of Ortigia, we walked everywhere and loved being nestled in the windy streets.

The rooms are not well sound proofed and you can hear people in the room next to you and also from the restaurant downstairs. It is quite bad to the extent that you can hear the music and talking from the restaurant when in the first floor. We got used to it after a night or two but it was not ideal

The room was gorgeous, staff was wonderful. the location was fantastic for walking around at night. Everything had a luxury feel and you can tell the staff paid attention to detail. Fantastic stay!

The phone was out in our room. I told one of the staff members but nothing came from it. We only stayed for a night so it's not a big deal but if we had wanted to contact the front desk for any reason we had no way of doing so.

It was a very pleasant stay. Ideal from every point of view: location, comfort, staff, the amazing restaurant

Nothing negative except for the hotel contact person giving us the wrong information for the overnight stay. They did not mention that you have to go to the parking booth to specifically ask the parking attendee for the overnight tarif of 15 euros. We ended up paying the hourly charge of 55 euros per day, and we had 2 cars.
