The room was very comfortable, very comfortable bed. Nice decor of the room and the building. High ceilings. Breakfast is served in the cafe downstairs - veeery tasty, great option! The location is PERFECT, just in the middle of Ortigia. In the historic (or looking like) building. We had a room with the piazza view so it was cool, but noisy - mind it if you care about such things :)

I wanted to check in before the time indicated by the host, or at least leave the luggage for some time before the check-in, but it was hard to get the response from the host about it, even I was reminding about it a few times. And I wanted an information only, to arrange my stay. It was disapointing because it almost spoiled our day in Siracusa.

B&B Five Rooms is located at the Piazza Archimede, center of the Ortigia Island, from where You have a few minutes walk towards every side of the island. The staff was very kind, and prepared our room earlier as we arrived before the check-in time. The rooms are newly renovated, clean, spacious and nicely furnished. A very good Italian style breakfast served in the bar next to the B&B. Very convenient location with lots of great eateries, souvenir shops, and historical landmarks nearby.

A kettle with some tea in the room would be a nice addition. We also were not prepared that we will need power adapters to plug in into mains sockets.

Big room with a square view. Great location and balcony. Good air conditioning. Easy to collect the keys.

Quite a lot of noise from the street. Payment was cash only and we were not informed when to pay in advance; the first morning we got a text saying “I’m waiting here for the payment”. Check-in information was sent almost two hours after check-in time.

Centrally located to explore Ortigia. Beautiful room.

The communication prior to our arrival was not ideal. I received several automated emails about check in, stating that I would receive information via WhatsApp. I did not receive information, nor had any contact with an actual person until 2 hours before our arrival. Everything worked out and the staff were friendly and helpful on site, but I would have preferred having contact with someone in advance.

Great location and the room was very spacious

The stairs and no lift. We couldn’t pay with credit card , they wanted cash or bank transfer, we were only told this two days before we arrived. Maybe this needs to be stated on their advertising. Breakfast was a voucher for a croissant, cappuccino, and small bottle of juice at the cafe below . I had to pay for a cup of tea instead of coffee.

The room was absolutely fabulous with a perfect location in the middle of the main square in Ortigia. It had a big beautiful balcony that over looked the middle of the square which had a fabulous water fountain that you can hear during the night. It had lovely bar underneath it which served great drinks in the evening and provides a good breakfast in the morning. The square is nice and quiet first thing so that you can still get a lay in- we loved it and would definitely go back. It’s in the perfect location to explore the island Ortigia, which is well worth exploring - esp at night.

The corridor up to the apartment is dark at night… take a torch or have it available on your phone.

Very friendly staff! We arrived in the night because of a missed bus, but the owner send us through whatsapp a video what to do. Very big room, really tidy, with high ceilings. This room hadn't a great view, but there was light enough, it didn't bothered us because the location was great. In the middle of the island, right on a squaire with a nice fountain. Every day they cleaned the room (although we didn't ask it). Great for our stay.

Breakfast was not great, but we were glad something was included so we had something to start the day. It was great to sit outside with the view on the squair with the fountain. Friendly people (although the staff did't speak english very well so communication always is a bit of a problem whereby kidness fades away..) We had to pay the accomodation at the time, which is not a problem, but it was in cash, so that is a disadvantage in my eyes.

The location was great, very central in Ortygia, the best part of town.

The main complexity is that the owners are not around and didn't turn up. We were able to contact them, thanks to the bar next door, and they told us nd the bartender where they had hidden the key. In the end it all worked, but it was not easy. Also, the parking is a headache because it's hard to find the different parking lots; we took an expensive one (e37) by the water on the west side of Ortygia. In the end it too worked.

The B&B was in a great location and was surprisingly quiet, considering it was in a piazza. The room was comfortable and clean.

Unfortunately the shower didn't keep a consistent temperature and would run hot and cold. An iron in the room and a mirror would have also been useful. Overall we were happy with the room though.

The location was fantastic. An easy walk to the old town. It was easy to park, the restaurant was very good for Breakfast and other restaurants nearby were very good.

I wish that there had been on sight parking, but 'I recognize that this is in an old city and it is not always possible.
