Amazing location with fantastic views. Excellent breakfast served by dedicated and helpful staff on a terrace right by the water. The host/owner was very friendly and helped us to rent a scooter and to find different places. Details: We had a room without a balcony but could open the windows and "feel the lake". The AC was powerful and we slept really well. The wet room was ok, the water pressure around Garda is what it is but there was plenty of warm water for all our "July showers". We took the ferry from Desenzano (train station) to Sirmione (€3/p, 2024) and landed a few minutes from the hotel. Tip: Although there are ferries to many places and it can be nice to be on the lake, we recommend taking the local bus more, especially to the east side. Partly because there are usually indoor seats on the "AC lottery ferries" and partly because it is usually faster by bus. The hotel provided excellent information in advance about how to get there, where to park etc. Fyi: The car park is just outside the city core, but a small shuttle bus goes around and picks people up.

What more can you want? Ok, it's a 2-star hotel, so there's no laundry service, no restaurant, and not open 24/7. But everything else is in place. The location and views are outstanding, you can buy a drink/wine/beer and sit on the terrace; plenty of restaurants are nearby.

We were pleasantly surprised at the upgrade they generously offered for free. We left our balcony window open to hear the waves crashing on the beach below us. Our bed was comfortable and we had we had two pillows each. Breakfast was wonderful and the patio view of the lake made it feel so relaxing. They had wine available for purchase, which we enjoyed on our balcony in the evenings. The location just inside the walls made this stay wonderful. To roam the streets in the early morning with only a few people and to wander in the evening with the nightlife in the warm glow of the streetlights. The staff were so warm and welcoming, willing to help with any need, The old home feel truly made us so at easy.

Nothing really. The only thing I can think of is something they have no control of. It would be the cost of parking and the fact that it is not 24hrs from your initial check-in to the parking area.

Grifo Parking - the buggy to hotel service makes it easy. We handed over our luggage and walked to the hotel because it was so near. The hotel is next to the castle at the entrance to Sirmione and we had a view of the lake from our 1st floor room. Booking in was easy and the room was ready for 1400hrs. The room was practical and basic as expected for the rating of the hotel, just what we needed as we were using it as a base. The breakfast was very good with enough choice for everyone. Air Conditioning and TV in the room. The staff are very welcoming and informative.

No in-room coffee and tea making facilities. No duvet only sheets and a blanket. The temperature did drop in the room at night due to the build of the hotel. Obviously this would be an advantage in the summer.

Incredible location, and very comfortable room! The view from the room was fabulous; you could see part of the old castle and out over the lake to the mountains. The air conditioning was vital, and so nice to have. The included breakfast was also so generous, and the terrace where it was served had lovely views of the lake. Finally, the staff were amazing: the plugs here are different from other European plugs and require THREE PRONGS; they were able to lend us a two to three prong adapter for the duration of our stay, and were so gracious and lovely with recommendations.

The shower was a bit tricky; the temperature wasn’t consistent and we really had to fiddle with the knobs to get it right, but that was a small thing. Being in the middle of Sirmione you will also hear a bit of noise and have crowds, but that’s to be expected.

Wonderful location right next to the castle in Sirmione. We had a lake view room on the top floor with a fantastic view from the balcony (small but functional with 2 breakfast bar style stools). Comfortable room with air conditioning. Adequate storage for the 3 nights we stayed. The bathroom was a decent size and well equipped. More than you would expect in a 2 star hotel. Breakfast on the terrace directly on the lake front was wonderful. Wide selection of pastries, meats, cheeses etc and unlimited coffee. We would definitely stay here again it exceeded our expectations. The hotel arranged parking which included electric taxi transfer to the hotel for guests and luggage, this worked very well. It was 15.5 euros a day which was reasonable.

The hotel doesn’t have a bar but they do have a refrigerator full of drinks and will serve these on the terrace for you which we loved. There is a restaurant next door under the same name but different management.

Shower pressure is abit low, but I'm not sure if this could be rectified. The room is characterful, a little of modernisation would make it a 10 I feel. Other than that, cannot fault this property and friendly staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff, absolutely amazing breakfast with nice terrace by the lake. Elevator in the building, only few steps to the elevator. Quite comfortable bed and extra blankets in the top cupboard. Room big enough for two people and two luggages. Lots of storage space in the cupboard with draws and hangers. Very good hair dryer. Wooden shutters in the window blocked the light at night, but allowed the air to come in. You could hear the lake waves to the room, which was great.

It would be great if smoking would be forbidden at the breakfast, even the breakfast is eaten outside. It is not great to eat in cigarette smoke. Other issues were only small details. TV had only Italian language channels, even Food Network was in Italian. Several wifi's, one for each floor, you should choose the best one yourself. No even small fridge in the room. Dual lever faucet caused a bit problems in the shower because of the water pressure, sink faucet worked well. No shower cabinet, only shower curtain, shower was a bit small. There aren't balconies in every room.

The location was very central and next to the fort. The manager was extremely helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very clean. Parking was slightly confusing, with parking in a private off site area. But once explained the process was very good with a free shuttle service right to the hotel door.

First of all, the location is incredible, we could see the lake and the castle right out our window, it was in the historic center, but out of the way so not noisy or crowded, and still very close to the bus stop and ferry dock, with easy access to everything. The staff were absolutely lovely and kind, and eager to help. The breakfast spread was incredible, with more options than I could list, but including croissants, cakes, cookies, fresh fruit and cheese and meats, various breads, nuts and dried fruit, coffee, teas, juices, and much more! Also they have a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake to have your breakfast on. The rooms are not spectacular, but are nice, comfortable and not cramped. Because of the excellent location it was no problem to pop in and out of our room as needed, so we didn't need to carry as much around with us. There is even a little beach right beside the hotel. For an older place the wifi held up well. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Sirmione.

The only issues were that the shower was small and the curtain would get a bit clingy, the bathroom in general was a bit cramped, and the water pressure for cold water from the sink was a bit weak for the last day and a half, but nothing that mitigates any of the amazing qualities of this place to me.

This is a wonderful small and friendly hotel in the center of the old town but in a quiet side street right beside the lake. Our bedroom had a balcony and perfect view. A minute walk outside was a little beach and just around the corner a bigger beach - I swam at both of them. We were near the restaurants and shops. The breakfast was just amazing. Everything you could imagine laid out beautifully for us to help ourselves. We loved sitting out on the terrace in front of the lake each morning.
