We are so glad we chose to stay at this hotel during our visit to Sorrento. The location could not have been better -- we weren't directly over the busy piazza but we were a 60 second walk away from it. The best pizzeria, gelateria, shops, etc. were all convenient walking distance. The marina is a 30-min walk or so, which is nice to do since leisurely strolling around the city is pleasant and interesting. We had so much fun simply wandering around and no matter where we went we were a convenient distance from the hotel. The room was very clean thanks to the kind cleaning person, Teresa, and her hard work. Our host, Claudio, was the best host we've ever had. When we first arrived, we had been traveling for over 30 hours, and he welcomed us with water and fun conversation in the lobby. He asked what we wanted from our stay and helped us curate the perfect visit for us, including taking us to his favorite local pizzeria, helping us with dinner reservations, offering ideas for activities we could do, introducing us to the local shop owners, and just generally making us feel like we were visiting an old friend. The owner, Dario, was very helpful and responsive as well, and continued to give us tips/advice when we finished our trip in Rome. We have already told our families all about this hotel and we can't wait until we are able to visit Sorrento again. I cannot recommend this place enough!

The beds were pretty comfortable for hotel beds, but they could be better if I had to choose something for improvement. This is certainly not a deterrent for us staying at this hotel since I don't think we've ever experienced a hotel bed that is equal to what you will get in your own home.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Two minutes to Tasso Square, the hub. Given its closeness to the square, there were no noise problems, it was quiet to sit on our terrace and also at night. Our host, Claudio, went over and above to make our stay memorable. He arranged trips for us, or made suggestions of places we might like. We visited a winery with tastings up in the hills and made pizzas at an organic farm, with others, also outside Sorrento. And we did the trips to Capri and the boat around to Amalfi and Positano. We particularly enjoyed going on the train and funiculare up the mountain at CastelMare. Walking in the beech woods was so enjoyable. There are so many places to eat in Sorrento and at Marina Grande that we chose a different one almost every night! Claudio's recommended restaurant was excellent for lunch and evenings.

Nothing.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at La Magnolia in the heart of Sorrento, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this charming boutique hotel offers something truly special. The location is unbeatable. Nestled in the city center, La Magnolia is within walking distance of everything Sorrento has to offer—quaint shops, vibrant restaurants, and breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples. Despite being so central, the hotel provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our room was beautifully decorated, combining classic Italian elegance with modern comforts. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the luxurious bedding to the spotless bathroom. The staff at La Magnolia went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. Their local knowledge was invaluable, providing us with excellent recommendations for dining, sightseeing, and day trips. It truly felt like staying with family. La Magnolia is more than just a place to stay; it’s a home away from home. The combination of its prime location, impeccable service, and beautifully designed rooms made our trip to Sorrento unforgettable. Whether you’re in Sorrento for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or simply to explore the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, La Magnolia is the perfect choice. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and are already planning our return. If you’re looking for a warm, intimate, and authentic Sorrento experience, look no further than La Magnolia.

The room was in a very central location with easy access to all areas, including the train station, which was wonderful. The room itself was cute with plenty of space. The city is easy to explore on foot. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The coffee/cappuccino machine was a nice bonus in the morning!

The bed was very firm and for me, extremely uncomfortable. However, they had a mattress topper and it made a world of difference for the next few nights. There is a bar across the street that can be a little loud,

Location was fantastic, rooms were a good size and light and airy. The grounds of the house were lovely and made it feel relaxed within the busy centre of Sorrento. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and tranquilo! they also provided flowers and prosecco for a perfect Sorrento birthday celebration for my partner!

The only thing we would have liked is a coffee machine so we could have enjoyed the mornings in the villa and grounds more so, but this was not a big issue with he many cafes around.

Excellent location, about 70 metres walk from the main square and 5 minutes walk to the main railway, bus station and supermarket. The owner, Mr Claudio and all staff were very welcoming and friendly and also offer some good advice on where to eat and best ways for getting around the area. The room was a good size, very clean and comfortable, we had room with a terrace balcony which gave added value in terms of comfort and peacefulness.

Nothing to dislike about this centrally located hotel

The Magnolia hotel is a lovely, family-run hotel with a handful of rooms. Rooms are spacious and thoughtfully furnished with tasteful wooden furniture from the region. Mini bar was reasonably priced and well-appointed. While the front desk is not staffed 24/7, the hotel manager, Claudio, is attentive, easily reachable, and offers good recommendations. Location, right off of Piazza Tasso and within a short walk of the train station is excellent. Rooms and bathroom were clean.

The soundproofing could be better; light sleepers should consider ear plugs. There is no elevator—all rooms require some steps, though some more than others. People with limited mobility should ask about the location of their rooms and the stair situation.

Excellent location in Sorrento, actually it couldn't be better. Really easy to find from the train station. Lovely classic style of bedroom and bathroom. Very clean hotel. Comfortable large bed. Great water pressure in the shower. Very friendly and informative staff, all queries dealt with quickly and recommendations made which was really helpful during our stay. Great little fruit shop outside the front gate too.

We stayed on the ground floor and it was a little noisy early in the mornings. A daily 7.15am dog walking alarm clock outside, if you're a light sleeper. Although that's no fault of the hotel! The walls are thin so you can hear a lot from reception from this room. Just in case you're looking for late quiet holiday lie ins! The door into the bathroom in room Ischia needs to be shaved slightly to be able to open fully. Oh and no milk available for making tea in the room, we did ask but there wasn't any available ☹️

Perfect location within walking distance of train station and town centre and waterfront. The rooms were clean and comfortable ideal for our short stay. Claudio was a fantastic host. He recommended where to eat. He organized a boat trip for us to Capri and walked us to the pick up point. Above and beyond. A really nice guy. He made our trip to Sorrento special.

excellent location, near to railway station, shops, restaurants. comfortable beds. Room was cleaned each day. A coffee machine available for guests in reception and kettle and fridge in room.

our room was top floor with a Velux window in roof, but had to share electric remote to open it and the pole to pull the blind across with the room next door by leaving on a table in hallway. a little inconvenient and would be better if one per room. Also our room the safe did not work during our stay.
