Our stay at Casa Aricò was phenomenal. The vibe is that of a high-end bed and breakfast or boutique hotel. We were blown away by the attention to detail and tasteful decor. The staff was superbly attentive. The breakfast was the best I'd ever had in Italy. The house attendant, Gabriella, was phenomenal and easily one of our favorite things about this experience. The pictures do not do this place justice and the location could not have been better. I highly, highly recommend it.
We rented a car to go to Taormina, and I strongly advise against that. To be clear, this has nothing to do with Casa Aricò, but it was the only stressful part of our stay. If I had to do it all over again, that is the only thing I'd change. Having said that, the staff at Casa Aricò were very accommodating and took great care of our rental, so if you absolutely must drive there, the parking options are both excellent.

Elegant, spotless facility, from beautiful common areas to the exquisite suites. The cleanest place we've ever stayed! It felt like we were staying in a (most comfortable) art museum. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating to any/all needs (thank you Luca, Gabriella and Enrico). And we really appreciated Angelo parking and retrieving our car for us - a very helpful option. Finally, we enjoyed seeing Romeo, the house cat each morning too!
Our bed had a low spot in the middle, maybe time for a new mattress? Otherwise, everything was absolutely perfect!

Wonderful breakfast and lovely Gabriela fussed over us making sure we had all we wanted for breakfast. Beautiful home with an incredible collection of art. Location was 2 minute walk from the old town but far enough away sp one can easily relax and rest without all the noise. Luca was a great host and provided plenty of restaurant recommendations and things to do in Taormina
It was a distance from the beach but easily accessible by cable car.

Casa Arico was fab!! It’s a beautiful building with loads of interesting art, and every detail is immaculate. it was like staying in a very comfortable art gallery! Luca who hosted us went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable, giving us recommendations, helping us with logistics. He was attentive and responsive whenever we needed something. The location of the guesthouse is really nice. A couple of minutes’ walk to the main part of Taormina, but in a small street so away from the crowds. Finally - the breakfast is delicious. A wide choice, homemade cakes, lovely service. We’d happily stay at Casa Arico again!
It was all good

Loved staying here!!!! It was the best location, the most gorgeous and beautifully designed interiors, delicious breakfast each morning during which we were able to meet the other guests and have a laugh together. The property is so close to all the good things to do, like getting the cable-car down to the beaches and restaurants/cafes. The property has a gorgeous rooftop which we used a few times to play cards and hang out with superb views. The staff are divine, will be recommending to any of our family or friends travelling here in future.
Would have liked access to an iron, they do have a paid service though.

Casa Arica was an oasis in tucked away from the maelstrom of peak hour tourism along the main Taormina thoroughfare. Nevertheless the accommodation is proximate the highlights - all within easy walking distance, and, importantly, with minimal steps of descent or ascent. The view to the Ionian Sea from our balcony, over the dome of a church built on the site of a Greek temple to Athena, was both beautiful and restorative. Luca our host was very helpful and made enquiries on our behalf with a local restaurant about a mislaid item, after we had departed Taormina.
I would be contriving accommodation deficits to comment on any dislikes except to say that one needs to be ambulant to access the accommodation and the magnificent views from a very comfortable bed!

What a hidden treasure Casa Aricò & Shatulle Suites turned out to be. Just like the pictures it was amazing to see all the artwork in every area. The upstairs common room and top floor terrace were delightful. Luca was also amazing and such a kind guy who even went and collected our car from the secured parking as the shuttle driver was busy at that time delivering another car. Luca went over and above helping us and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him. Very quick walk through a passage way leads you right into the center of town.
Driving in Taormina's incredibly small streets with sharp turns into even smaller streets was exceedingly challenging. Not the hotel's fault at all. Lots of stairs to climb to the room though! Taormina town is small and it can be absolutely over run with thousands of tourists aimlessly wandering the small streets.

A fantastic find situated close to the historic area of Taormina. Luca is the perfect host, so friendly, welcoming and helpful. He collected us from the airport and chatted to us on the way to the hotel with lots of information to make sure we got the best out of our short stay. We had his WhatsApp number, which he used to send us a list of restaurants etc.. and he told us if we needed anything to just contact him. I didn’t have the correct adaptor with me so I sent him a quick message and literally within minutes he came to our room with some adaptors to try. He definitely went above and beyond. Then there is Gabriella who looks after you at breakfast and also does the housekeeping. She is fabulous. The breakfast is fantastic consisting of, yoghurts, fruit, granola, meats, cheeses, bread, croissants and even home made cakes by Gabriella. Our room was spotless and when we returned to our room every afternoon it was clean and tidy with fresh towels. The best housekeeping service I have ever had! I will definitely be going back

Our stay at Casa Aricò started well before we arrived thanks to Luca’s very kind help at organising our visits to places, booking restaurants for us, giving us tips so we had the best experience in Taormina. The place is located walking distance from Porta Messina which is one of the main entrances to the hilltop village. We received a very warm welcome from Luca and Enrico who took care of getting the car parked, and introduced us to their Maison d’Art, beautifully decorated with ancient Sicilian ceramics, paintings and artefacts of different centuries as well as some amazing pictures. The last floor and the roof top offer some fantastic views on the sea and the mountains. Super comfortable bedroom with modern en-suite. Waking up to Gabriella’s smile and homemade “torte” was another highlight of our stay. Celebrating a big birthday, I felt even more pampered with the delicate attentions I received on my special day. I would definitely recommend Casa Aricò as a wonderful place to stay.

Excellent property and very conveniently located in the centre of Taormina yet on a very quiet street. Luca is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful, giving recommendations on many aspects of the city. The rooms are perfectly clean and have a fantastic charm to them, well decorated and spacious. All of the amenities were included and you have an amazing view of the sea. Breakfast is also very good and they facilitate parking space for a car for a reasonable price considering the difficulty of parking in the city.
