The staff was great, probably the best staff hotel I have ever encountered while traveling! Free Wi-Fi, (Speed test 101 Mbps down /114 Mbps up) was able do download the Venice map in 10 seconds. (Note, there are quite a few data dead zones through the city, so I recommend downloading maps. Also the GPS service isn't 100% accurate in the small streets.) The breakfast was awesome with quite a few options! The staff made my wife coffee and my daughter hot chocolate. My wife absolutely loved the coffee. My daughter munched on strawberries and a chocolate brownies! I had some excellent jam filled croissants and the red orange juice was great! Location was GREAT! We were with in a 20 minute walk from any major attraction. Lots of cafes grocery stores and and basic needs stores near by. Even McDonalds and Burger King are near by if you're not feeling adventurous...

Our room was facing Strada Nova (Street) there was a lot of noise from other tourists at night, it didn't bother me, but my daughter who sleeps by 7:30pm had a hard time sleeping. The bed kind of stiff for my liking, but I have suffered several back injuries, could be just my back. Bedding (blankets) were kind dated, but some might see this as part of the charm of the hotel.

A highly recommended accommodation. It exceeded all our expectations! The lady owner is so kind, nice, and hospitable.... I haven't met such a wonderful person for a long time. She kindly offered a larger room with a private garden, even though we had booked a smaller one, which I have never experienced before. Also, since we were in a hurry, she offered to serve us breakfast half an hour earlier. Everything is clean and nice, even though the furniture is rustic. It actually adds a special charm to the ambiance! I strongly recommend it! We will come again and we know where to stay!"

Because of the green garden maybe a little bit more of moscitos

The location is perfect—close to everything and only a 20-25 minute walk from the train or bus station. Initially, I made a mistake while booking and chose the smallest room, which was indeed very small. I wouldn’t recommend booking that particular room due to its size. However, the owner was incredibly understanding and accommodating. On the second night, she kindly upgraded us to a larger, much more comfortable room, we had to pay a little bit more but the bigger room made a huge difference in our stay. Highly recommend, just choose a larger room! Breakfast was good too.

During my recent stay, I found this hotel to be a gem. Its prime location near transport hubs made exploring Venice effortless, with attractions like the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square just a pleasant 20-minute stroll away. The staff exceeded expectations, going the extra mile to ensure our comfort from the moment we arrived until the very second we departed. We had requested a room on the lower floors due to mobility concerns, and were delighted to be accommodated in a charming ground floor room with a garden view. The room was well-appointed with essential amenities such as a hairdryer, kettle, and efficient air conditioning. Additionally, the journey from the airport via vaporetto to F.te Nove, followed by a brief 10-minute walk to the hotel, was smooth and convenient. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service and convenience.

Owners are very kind and help you whith whatever you need. Few steps to Gondola station from where you can pass the Grand Canal for 2 euro or take a small gondola for 5 people with 80 euro and have a 30 minutes trip. 15 minutes walking to St Mark's square, or 10 minutes to Rialto bridge. Less then 10 minutes to Fondamente Nove vaporetto station to Murano/Burano/Marco Polo Airport. Room exactly as in booking pictures.

If keeping window close i could feel a fug smell, but not a problem at all. We stayed at ap 16 near the breakfast room. Not sure about the upper rooms.

The location is excellent, at walking distance to the Grand Canale attractions and the nooks of the old town. The place itself is very cosy and clean (with room service every day). As we stayed in a room upstairs, we had a roof terrace to ourselves – lovely! The host is extremely amiable and made us feel at home, she seemed genuinely glad to have us there – that’s a good feeling! And she served great coffee : ) The breakfast was fresh and tasty and varied (it was consistent from day to day but there was a variety to taste something new each day during a couple of days’ stay). A big thumbs-up, thank you for having us!

I don't know many Italian women, but if even half of them are as fantastic as the owner, I regret not being Italian! Warm and cheerful, always smiling. During breakfast, despite having a lot of work, she didn't neglect anyone – coffee for everyone, a little chat with everyone. As for the hotel – excellently located, on a very busy street, but tucked away between buildings so you don't feel the noise of the crowd at all. The room is tiny, could be bigger, the bathroom is okay, the air conditioning worked all the time. Highly recommended, and I hope to come back someday.

Small room, could be bigger.

For a 2 star hotel, it surpassed our exceptions. Great location and room was larger than expected. A garden view was an added bonus plus the air con, as Venice is hot in June. We stayed in annexe across from the main entrance and were surprised how peaceful it was. About 5 mins from Rialto Bridge and approximately 15 mins walk to St Marks Square. Next to busy shopping street with Co-op, MacDonalds, Cafe, Bars and a lot more. Ca'Dora water taxi one road over and main water taxi stop to airport approx 8 minute walk. Continental breakfast was enough to keep you going until at least lunch time. Laura, the host was very informative and helpful. Would definitely recommend and hopefully visit again.

We found no negatives, apart from staying a little longer would've been lovely.

Location was great, the street with many shops and restaurants, walking distance to all attractions and 100 m to vaporetto stop. Very friendly and helpful stuff. Very clean rooms. Good breakfast. On the last morning we got a breakfast package as we left earlier. We got an upgrade to a bigger room. Be prepared for 32 steps to reception. Overall very satisfied with our stay.

The only downside were flat and pretty hard pillows. And no duvet cover, just bed sheet and plaid.

Even though we caught a cold and were all sick during our visit we did like our stay at Alloggi Santa Sofia very much. The room was clean and a nice size. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was served in a very pretty breakfast room. Breakfast included a variety of breads, cheese, cold cuts, hard boiled eggs, cereals, water, juices, some fruit and coffee and cappuccino. There was a person at the front desk all the time. So it was easy if you had any questions. Our Host was very friendly and welcoming. We definitely would stay here again.
