The hotel (palazzo) was amazing! Our room was a gorgeous chocolate brown- tastefully done. The modern conveniences are there, worked around the original elegant theme. There IS an elevator (a big deal in Europe). Breakfast offers a wide selection of goodies-eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, grains, yogurts, fruit, vegetables, juices & coffees. It’s advisable to add on the breakfast packaged as I didn’t see too much in the way of breakfast during my walks. The staff was very helpful in finding me a hairdresser around town - I had a photoshoot but didn’t take my hair tools with me. The staff also called a water taxi for us when we left. The hotel was a beautiful building, and the renovation of it was just stunning. We were very fortunate to have been upgraded to a junior suite; everything about it just dripped Venice! From the beautiful chandelier from the Murano glass factory to the exquisite fabric wallpaper, it all just breathed opulance which, after all, is what Venice is about!

If I had to find something on the not-great side, it would be that the Breakfast eating area was pretty small and if more than a couple of groups, you would almost be on top of each other. However, our visit was in February at 2 degrees so we didn't venture out into the lovely garden, which is set up for breakfast in warmer temperatures. One other point which sounds as if I am being pedantic, but with everything else being so perfect, the toilet paper was very cheap and not thick and luxurious!

Breakfast was ample with a great selection of international items. The complementary visit to Murano and guide to an artisan glass atelier was very much appreciated.

The room was a little small but fine for one person. I will check for a larger room next time.

The Hotel was really beautiful and we just loved our stay. Great location and the staff were extremely helpful and I highly recommend this hotel.

The only negative is the floor boards above were very noisy, so you could hear the ppl above walking. Not bad if it was during the day, however there was a lot of stomping all hours. Not the fault of the hotel, it's an old building and little insulation between floors. due to exposed beams.
