Magical experience staying on the Zattere where the sunrise was stunning. Easy transfer from the train station to the hotel using a tronchetto. Front desk were really helpful with directions via messages. So many authentic places to eat in the Dorsoduro, and an easy 10-15 minute walk to the busy tourist area of San Marco. Absolutely fell in love with Venice!

Nothing to improve - everything was exceptional!

Staff extremely helpful, breakfast was incredibly good - so much choice.Room was very nice , bright - nice to sit outside on balcony . Quiet area but very convenient for strolling into the city. Such a nice place that on our return home we have booked to return .

Minor thing our bed was hard.

It has a very model feel... clean... nice relaxing courtyard, and very friendly and accommodating bartender. The location is a mixed bag – yes, it's much quieter than other parts of Venice, but be prepared to walk a lot! There are a couple of decent restaurants right on the water in front of the hotel, and they were never too crowded.

We had to ask for a room upgrade. Beware – if you book the "Superior Canal View," you're going to be on the first or second floor, and your view is of a really small canal, and some graffiti. We paid an additional $80 EUR after the first night to move to a Honeymoon Suite, which was on the second floor and had better views. Though, be aware that the hotel does not have ANY rooms facing the lagoon view. Also, while I agree with other reviewers that the location provides a bit more tranquility, I think next time I would book something a bit closer to all the sights. It was a good 20-25 minute walk anytime we wanted to go somewhere.

We loved the location of the hotel - lovely part of Venice away from the crowds and stunning views across to Giudecca. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of food and drink! My father celebrated his 89th birthday whilst we were there and the breakfast staff very kindly arranged for a surprise cake at breakfast which was lovely! The rooms were also very comfortable - we had a family room for 3 and the main bed and the chaise bed for our son were all very comfortable. The complimentary shower gel/shampoo/conditioner was a lovely quality also. All in all an exceptional place to stay! Thank you to all of the hotel staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

We had a standard double room which over looked the courtyard and it was lovely. Very comfortable bed, wonderful shower and more than adequate for our needs on a short stay. Breakfast buffet was varied and fresh with pastries, juice, hot food, fruit etc. Staff very friendly. Reception was very upmarket and the reception staff were more than helpful and friendly. The location for us was perfect - not in the centre of Venice but the area was still lively with restaurants. We took the waters back to the airport - 80 minutes journey - and had it not been for the fog that depended that morning Im sure we would have got a better view of Venice as we made our journey. We want to return to Venice at some point to see the things we missed this time and would have no problem at all staying at this hotel!!

Nothing about the hotel. Of course being car less, if travelling independently, you have to look at how you are going to get to your hotel. As we had a late flight outbound we took a taxi from the airport which dropped us a 5 minute walk from the hotel (45 euros), but returning to the airport we took the waterbus which was only 15 euros one way.

We were initially placed In a room sandwiched between the front desk on the one side and next door's restaurant on the other. Event though pretty good sound insulation, not very private. When we asked to be switched it seemed to me (wirh my limited italian) that one of the front desk staff suggested to the other there was a better option, but the latter declined to use it. They did switch us the following day, but I was a little turned off by the experience. Anyways, great hotel otherwise, highly recommend them overall.

The hotel is in a quiet yet exciting location withthe Zaterre and San Basilico vaparetto stops virtually on its doorstep. Easy walking distance to Accademia vaparetto stop (8min along the canal and back alleys) on the Grand Canal. 15-20min walk to St Mark’s or a one stop vaparetto ride from Zaterre. Critically for us, we felt that we were away from the constant hustle and bustle of the more busy tourist areas. The Zaterre waterfront has lovely restaurants and bars to sit and enjoy a drink or meal directly on the water and in the sun virtually all day. We had a triple room facing the courtyard and with a view of the small canal behind the property, it was very quiet. The decor was modern and elegant, beds were on the firm side but comfortable. Both the bedroom and bathroom were well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was ample and what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber: pastries, pancakes, muesli, cheese and cold cuts, fruit, yoghurts, eggs, bacon, potatoes, vegetables etc. The staff we encountered at the front desk (Claudia, Anna, Julian) were always friendly, helpful and eager to make our stay the best possible. Service with a smile!

I was traveling with a bicycle and they were able to accommodate me. My bike was stored in a safe place. 

The next day after I left the property, I was missing a connector for my electronics. They took all my information so they would get back to me. Nobody got back to me.  it created a great inconvenience for me trying to locate the thing that I believe I left in the room.  Even if they couldn’t have found it, it would’ve been nice for them to have returned my call as they said they would. 

Great hotel in a quiet area (which is hard to get in the middle of August in Venice). Lovely location and very walkable to central areas like Piazza San Marco and very accessible by Vaporetto as well. Rooms are lovely, the Jacuzzi on the terrace was an amazing add-on to relax after a long day walking in Venice. Breakfast was good as well, though quite busy at times.

Hotel rooms can be on the pricier side, but I generally found it worth the money, due to the less touristy location and the special features of the room we had booked ( we also benefitted from not booking last minute, which drove the prices up a lot in August)

It was in such a nice area, away from the crowds are busy areas of the highly popular tourist areas, however it was only a short walk from the popular sights to see and right in front of multiple public transportation areas. You can even speak to the hotel front desk and they can arrange for a car drive you to the airport from a vehicle area around 5 minutes away by walking. 10/10 would stay here again, hotel front desk is available 24/7 for questions

It’s Venice….so transportation is mostly by boat, you have to expect and know ahead of time, that transportation may be longer and be more difficult, especially with luggage, but you should know this if you’re planning to visit the city.
