Myself and my husband stayed in Madama Garden Retreat for three nights. We had a fantastic time. It is just an amazing place to stay from start to finish. Breakfast was so good and the views of the garden and the canal were breath taking. I will definitely be coming back here to stay❤ Thank you so much for having us.

EVERYTHING was 10 out of 10! From the entrance, where you can enter to the hotel literally by boat (magical!), to the staff who made my stay there more than perfect. It's just a hidden gem in the middle of Venice! Location is great cos you're near everything but at the same time you're out of the crazyness of all the touristic places. Moreover, you have lots of bars and restaurants near the hotel (5min walking) very local with a nice italian vibe, and with normal prices. The garden was just perfection, watching the sunset from the garden with a bottle of wine, some crisps and a book. The room (I've got the suite) was very spacious, extremly clean and the deco was just the perfect combination of style and good taste. The views from my room were epic, opening the windows in the morning with the smell of the breakfast and the views of the canals, just magical! Staff was on another level of perfection, always helping and recomending new places to visit. No words for this small hotel!

For the first time: nothing at all!

This little Venetian retreat entirely does away with the usual trappings of Venetian hotels. No clinging to outdated ideas of luxury -- as in some of the chains and faux 4/5* offerings. Instead, a beautiful walled garden awaits overlooking the intersection of two waterways, with rooms superbly well-realised with a serene, homely yet luxurious atmosphere throughout. Service is personal and impeccable for the most part. The location puts you in the heart of Cannaregio and the lively rio della Misericordia.

More information on the available services (breakfast, aperitivo, etc.,) would be nice.

The stylish garden setting on the intersection of two busy canals was marvellous. The quality and homemade ingredients of the breakfast were outstanding. The assistance in organising airport transport at a time of a transport strike and an electrical storm over the lagoon was hugely appreciated. A very homely setting.

The staff really wanted to please and be welcoming but there is a fine line between attentiveness and intrusion which maybe needs some thought. Despite all the positives, I can't see the justification for the such a high price for what is bed and breakfast in a lovely setting.

the madams garden retreat is an absolute jewel! the garden is a lovely respite, and we loved the location which is close to everything and yet feels like a magical oasis. don’t miss the meticulously prepared breakfast with fresh fruit and pastries!

A charming hotel, perfectly located. Our room was spacious, offered a view of the canal and met all our expectations. Breakfast in the garden was fantastic - a real privilege in a city in which open and quiet spaces are a rarity! The staff was very friendly, too. All in all, a great place to stay and we will definitely consider returning.

The owner, Mara, was attentive, excellent service, the room was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. A very private, secure and beautiful location that was very peaceful and serene. We’d return in a heart beat! Highly, highly recommended.

a gorgeous little boutique hotel in a brilliant location. the decor was outstanding, beds extremely comfortable and the staff where amazing. we were made to feel so welcome and treated like royalty. breakfast was unique and despite being a continental breakfast kept us going for the day. this really a hidden gem and so glad that we found it.

Location, room aesthetic, overall accommodations, breakfast offerings- a feast for the senses & on point. The quality of place, it’s peacefulness and hospitality of Madama was above and beyond.

The garden is an oasis of tranquility in the bustling heat of Venice. All of the flowers are beautifully curated to create a soothing, nourishing, regenerative space to plan the next adventure.

The low number of rooms, whilst being a part of the hotel’s charm, also means that there is limited availability for breakfast in the morning, making reserving a time slot essential. it would have been good to know this in advance.
