Absolutely loved this hotel. The attention to details were extraordinary. From the quality toilet paper to marble-like floors and tubs, old school desk and bed and chandelier, the complementary treats, toiletries - everything was spot on. I've never been to a hotel like this one. The lounge for each floor is fit to host the wealthy old families of Europe. Housekeeping did not bother me once. It was a quiet corner away from busy street. To put it simply - I feel pampered. If you're looking for a romantic hotel to please your better half - this hotel just might be it. If you are travelling solo and want to be left alone - this hotel would serve the purpose. I would strongly suggest booking this hotel as early as possible..like 6-8 months early for best price. Once it's time to check in and you had paid a bargain price - the feeling is divine.

Great location on the Grand Canal - we arrived by water taxi straight to the hotel’s own jetty. They have turned this wooden jetty into a place to sit for a drink - which we did every evening as it got dark - lovely! The hotel is on a quiet back street but also only a few mins from Rialto Bridge, lots of eateries, restaurants and shops. It’s then only 17-20 mins walk to San Marco for the major historic and waterside attractions. All rooms and lobby are decorated in authentic Venetian style, also with ornate Murano glass chandeliers and glassware. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast is a little lacklustre - there is a variety of options offered in a small buffet but not high quality fare. The room is long and narrow which makes it cramped at busy times and the staff get a little flustered. There is a small balcony overlooking the Grand Canal which has two breakfast tables - we were lucky enough to grab in our last morning (this comment should be in the ‘liked’ section!). For some, the stairs could be a challenge (no lift) so ask for a room on a lower floor.

The hotel is situated quite centrally, only ca. 15 minutes walk from the central station Santa Lucia. The area is, however, pleasantly un-touristy for Venetian standards. At the nearby square you can even sit in a bar and participate a little in some kind of local life - which is a rarity in a town that is literally overrun by tourists all year round. I had booked a small single room (the only affordable deal in Venice at that moment), and I got an unexpected upgrade to a big double room with a double bed and sofa on the top floor. It looked on to a small canal connected with the Canal Grande (that I could even see when I tilted my head out of the window). The room had a working table that was even equipped with electric plugs close to the table, which isn't always the case in older hotels. The bathroom wasn't new, but clean and tidy enough. The breakfast wasn't on a ****-level for Central European standards, but was good for Italian standards. It is served in a wonderful salone on the first floor with a terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. So, that in itself was a nice experience.

Hard to find anything negative... Like many things in Venice, the hotel isn't easy to find, but that's part of the Venice experience. I'll be back.

The property itself, nicely maintained and well decorated, 15th meets 21st century. Enrico at the check-in counter was very pleasant & supportive personality, he made good recommendations and

AC could be lot better, we took 2 rooms the smaller room made us miserable at night could not sleep. Common issue in Italy, though the other bigger room had new AC installed i guess and that was perfect. Breakfast was not good at all, beside the limited choice and rude lady at the coffee counter the scrambled eggs were smelly or just may be my taste buds and smelling sence had gotten sharper after 1 week in Italy and eating from some of the good places.

We booked a room last minute (the day we got into Venice) when we realized our original hotel was farther outside of town than we’d thought. The location of this hotel was perfect for getting to stay right in the heart of Venice. The building was very old but beautifully kept. There are gorgeous Murano glass touches and fixtures everywhere. The staff were SO friendly and helpful! They gave us wonderful dinner recommendations and some hints for the best gondola rides, and were all around welcoming. I wish we’d been able to stay longer!

Not really a con, but be aware that the rooms (at least the one we stayed in) are TINY! It wasn’t a big deal for just me and my husband, especially since we spent most of the day out and about.

It was hard to beat a room in a classic palazzo looking out on the Grand Canal. The building was full of Old World charm, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast buffet was large (and included views of the Grand Canal as well). Just sitting on the windowsill and watching the boats go by was probably the highlight of our entire week in Italy.

As w/ all Italian hotels in which we stayed on this trip, there was a faint whiff of cigarette smoke. Also the bathroom was quite small and the entire floor was slanted but this is old Venice after all. And despite the Grand Canal views the room was a tad dark as the windows were not large but of course that was just part of a classic palazzo. Finally, while a bar in the building was a nice touch we would have liked a fitness center too.

I like the location of this Hotel. Sitting on the little jetty at night having a beer and letting my feet recover after walking all day very relaxing. Prime position and as I have been to Venice a few times the rooms are quite big. Staff are great and overall a very good hotel. Please remember that hotels here are expensive and although this is not the most expensive its good.

Breakfast was a bit rushed and hot food could be improves, but I hardly make breakfast visits anyway.

Nice place for the money. Great for a cpl nights. Comfy bed, hot water, looks like what you would expect from Venice. Breakfast was just a little bit above ok.

If I didn't have Google maps I don't think I would have found it walking. So be prepared to go through a maze. And i really wish the bar area was better. I like a good place to sit relax grab a drink and there isn't an option really in the immediate area and the bar at this place wasn't very inviting for a cocktail or coffee to me but this is nitpicking for the price

I love staying at this hotel. It is in a wonderful location (can be a little hard to find, but this is Venice!) and is a truly beautiful house. I stay in one of the cheapest rooms but it is perfect in every way. Beautiful, comfortable, quiet and very clean. I have a canal view and, looking out of the window, can glimpse the Grand Canal. The common areas (breakfast room, terraces over the Grand Canal) are lovely, and breakfast is super-good. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful.

I can't think of anything.

The staff team and individual members of staff were very kind and extremely helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and very adequate for me. The lemon tart we had occasionally - yes, for breakfast 😋 - sticks in my mind! My room was colourful and the bathroom functioned as it should, water was hot etc. Well located for getting around Venice.

The air-con was faulty. This was a big thing in a small room.
