The hotel is closed to the station and the bus stop. The room is much quite big compared with other hotels. Staff are professional and very polite and helpful. All toiletries are DHC brand. I like the shampoo. Super good quality.

It is an old but traditional hotel. You can see the furnitures, facilities, toilet, and carpet are kind of vintage style. But you can also imagine how it were glorious 20-30 years ago.

- Getting around the hotel can be abit of a maze due to the addition of new buildngs. - The tablet that manages private bath bookings isn't updated to reflect the addition of the new hotel wing. Hence the recommendations for the closest baths to your room are outdated. Check the locations of the nearest bath to your room via the hotel map to save on walking the hotel end to end! - Some guests tend to overstay their private bath booking timings and eat into the next. Though not sure if there's anything the hotel can do!

The hotel combines Western with Eastern amenities, such as a large bathtub and large room with comfortable duvets. The hotel also practices omotenashi well (meaning to wholeheartedly look after guests), with hot water and heated room already prepared prior to check-in and a free coffee and tea service.

Check-in before 3 pm was not permitted, but I was able to lock my bags and go explore the village. The last order for breakfast was 8:45 am.

This hotel has old world charm, and the location is excellent. It is within walking distance to the Prince Shopping Mall, several small shops, cafes, museums, parks, hiking trails & Ginza Street. Also, the bathroom is spacious by Japanese standards, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The carpet in the room was very old and needs replacing. We found it a little warm in the room but were provided with a fan and with it and us opening the window, the room was comfortable. It was a little pricey, but we stayed during Golden Week so that was not surprising really.

The building was old but clean. The staff were very friendly and always offered assistance. Breakfast was excellent!

I hope the hotel assigns a server at the buffet station, particularly for their very popular french toast. We had breakfast at the same time as a tourist group who HOARDED as much french toast as they can. It was terrible. I had to line up three times just to be able to get one.

What a great little place to stay! A liiiiittle old but beautiful on the inside. Big and comfy room with a large window. With access to a microwave and a vending machine you really have all you need.

The breakfast is 1800 yen and not quite what I expected given the hype from the front desk guy. Also, there are no convenience stores within a 10-minute walk. You have to go all the way back to the train station so you better make sure you bring everything you need.

This property has a blended europe and japan vibes. The building is quite old but maintained well. The breakfast is good. Not to much variation but nice and tasty, enough for breakfast. The location is quite near from the Karuizawa Station, only 800m and 10 minutes by walk. We like the neighborhood.

The cupboard is old, maybe need to renovation.

I love the hospitality of the staff. The breakfast was also great. The family room was spacious and clean. There were 2 toilets in the room and the bathtub was big. It is also not so far from Karuizawa Station (about 800meters). The surrounding is also nice (beside a lovely church and a museum).

The family room was located in the 3rd floor (elevator is only up to the 2nd floor and in the new building only). It was a bit difficult for a family with 2 oldies and a baby.

Breakfast is good both in variety and quality. Elegant bone china set. Good service. Room is spacious and clean. Towels are more than enough.

The water flow rate of the shower head cannot be adjusted. When the water comes out, we feel very uncomfortable as if needles pin into the skin.
