Location is about 2 km. from JR station, but you can take the bus to Kyo-Karuizawa (around 100-160 yen each) or taxi (around 1200 yen) which you can find both in front of the station. (I think it's can be 3-4 persons maximum for one taxi - it's up to your luggage size). The hotel is just in the middle of walking street, where you can find lots restaurants and shops around there - in walking distance. - Staffs are very helpful and nice. (they help to call taxi on the check-out date to the station - which leave you nothing to worry about) - Room is clean and well prepared.

- I think the bed is not that comfy. (It's clean and well prepared anyway). - Type of the room is in the L-shape, so it leave not much space for living area. There is a sofa (which is comfy, but not very practicable for 4 persons to use. Also, there are no small table at the sofa.

The staff were the nicest bunch of people who were also very helpful with everything, from food recommendations to luggage forwarding. The staff were also very communicative when I emailed them before my arrival. The hotel is new. The hotel and room decor is gorgeous, and the room is very spacious. The hotel had thoughtful touches like leaving baby toiletries in the room when I told them I was bringing a baby with me. It is also in a superb location - its back entrance leads right into Ginza old street, with plenty of food choices and shops.

Cosy, spacious and clean. Love the vibes and the fact that we can use the outdoor space / seating area.

None, but maybe the carpark wasn’t too convenient and especially the fact that after 7pm, you have to enter via an alternative route. It wasn’t a problem at all after you got used to it, but good to check this so you don’t lose your way.

The rooms at Karuizawa Cross were spacious with underfloor heating which meant it was super comfortable. It was a lovely room to stay in. The bathroom was also very spacious and the lighting overall was soothing. The staff were so nice and helpful with additional kitchen items we wanted for the room like a knife, chopping board, ice etc.

The overall complex was very quiet at this time of the year, the restaurant and bar was closed and the shops in the mall closed on a Wednesday. The vibe from the images made it feel like a social, happening hotel to visit but it wasn't since it was an off season time.

The hotel is in a terrific location in Karuizawa, and the whole staff in the hotel were so friendly and helpful. The room itself is cozy and quite clean. Highly recommend to this hotel if you visit Karuizawa.

Most rooms of the hotel are in the different area of a small mall. There is the roof connecting each area but it could be a bit difficult if it’s the raining day. But the hotel is so sweet for providing the umbrellas at the walking trail in each area.

It felt like home coming back each day, to a clean, comfortable and aesthetically designed room. Nothing luxurious, but it did the little things well which make a stay feel luxurious - good shower and water pressure, cleanliness, powerful aircon / heater, comfy bedding. Also the staff were very warm, and the thoughtful amenities pack for families with kids was memorable!

location: hotel is located at Kyu Karuizawa where shops and restaurants nearby; easy to travel to Karuizawa tourist attractions by bus or taxi. the hotel is 30 mins walk from Karuizawa Station or you may take taxi (10 mins) or bus (10mins, few stops but be aware of bus schedule) staff: kind and helpful room: clean and tidy

the curtain design: after rolling down the roman curtains, you can still find tiny gaps at the edges, worry about the room privacy especially when you put on the room lights.

1. The location is perfect. there's a back entrance that leads you to Old Ginza Street, which opens up to the rest of the town. All walking distance to lovely shops and restaurants 2. There's a fabulous izakaya at the back of the hotel. must visit. 3. The staff are so friendly and helpful. 4. There's a catholic church just beside the hotel to pray and give thanks.

If you're staying in the area, this is nice. Excellent location in Kyukaruizawa (in an upscale shopping plaza), modern rooms.

The hotel is your typical western modern hotel. While the location is central, you do have to catch a bus from Karuizawa to Kyukaruizawa. Kyukaruizawa mostly shuts down at night, and by breakfast there's maybe one bakery open on the entire street at 8am.

The location proximity to Old Ginza Street put everything interest within walking distance. Also the concept of having room tuck behind shops is interesting. The bar and lobby is picturesque and deserve a quiet sit.

While room is spacious, there's not a lot of place to tuck luggage or hang clothes. Not a big deal but could be better. The toilet is very cold comparing to room.
