We really like this hotel as the room was much bigger after staying in Tokyo. Nice quiet neighbourhood and just a short walk from Karuizawa Station (7 mins walk). We stayed 5 nights. Breakfast was more than sufficient. The hotel has shuttle to the Karuizawa train station and the ski centre but we walked everyday. Our room faced the front of the hotel and we were lucky - we experienced our first snow fall! even though we have seen lots of snow before but not a heavy snowfall. It was wonderful to see the change in landscape - to a white winter wonderland! Karuizawa is nice - it is slower paced and not crazily crowded. We made daytrips to Yuzawa, Kogen Church etc. There is a premium outlet beside the train station, a Lawson outlet just behind the hotel - so convenient. Buses, taxis, lockers are all located near the train station (walking distance)

We stayed in this hotel 3 years ago, before the start of COVID. We had a good experience and stayed again this time for a longer period. It did not disappoint us and we are happy with the stay once again! Remarks: We had a fun time looking for Rosso-kun! 1. Lift to room level 2. Coin laundry: washer and dryer separate (Qty: 2) 3. Free Wifi 4. Free parking in hotel vicinity 5. Complimentary amenities 6. Complimentary light breakfast 7. Free shuttle to ski center & Karuizawa station (we use it to go to ski center this time) 8. Free smart phone which can be taken out to use during the stay 9. Hotel staff are the friendliest we have encountered in this trip and able to converse in English.

- Nothing major as per previous review, breakfast is pretty basic since the hotel already mentioned that it is light. - Please take note that free shuttle is not operation on every Thu.

The staff are great. I had stayed here more than a year ago, and upon arrival, they remembered and greeted me warmly. The rooms are very clean, the linen felt fresh. Wifi was great - managed to conduct several zoom meetings with no problems. Having washing machines and dryers is a big plus for travelers doing longer journeys (very few hotels have this facility).

Perhaps some variety in the breakfast offering would be good for the longer term stayers.

Location is ok, not far from Train station, walking distance about 10-15 mins. Family room is spacious for 4 pax, bathroom is clean.

small buffet spread for breakfast, menu is the same everyday... We booked the family room with 4 beds, extra two beds set up at the tatami area with thin bedframes, I think it is better to remove the bedframe and just lay the mattress as futon on the tatami directly.

Hotel using self taking toiletries based on self-need to reduce waste. The hotel also come with pay washing machine and dryer. The location is close to Ski resort and a convenient store just behind the hotel. Hotel provide free transport to ski resort and outlet mall. Quite convenient.

The location is excellent -close to the station and also close to the town center and its cafes and restaurants. The staff are exceptionally friendly The breakfast - advertised as ‘simple’ - was in fact varied and filling. Everything you could want.

The room is unquestionably small and a tight fit if you have even reasonably sized luggage. Very functional with good facilities but it is cramped. And the view is certainly nothing to write home about but this is a minor complaint.

Rooms were clean and a good size with all required amenities. Staff were professional and patient during interactions and welcomed us when we parked. Breakfast spread was sufficient and a plus point to the stay! The place is accessible by foot from the station (I believe they have a shuttle service too), with sufficient parking spots on site. Washer and dryer were also available for a fee.

The hotel is in easy walking distance to the railway station. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, breakfast was good and so was the wifi.

This was our most expensive hotel during our 4 weeks in Japan by a long way and therefore we expected something very special. But it is not, it is a very good hotel but the high price is because it is in Karuizawa.

It’s a new Hotel and nicely fitted out with the homely character of a small hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room were quite large and spacious and single beds were really semi- double size. It was only 5 mins walk from Karuizawa station and the Prince Outlet Mall. The light ‘free’ breakfast was quite substantial … a very nice gesture.

Although it was great to have a free breakfast it was actually a set menu which was also a good idea …. it’s just that I personally am not very enthusiastic about eating curry for breakfast …. but that’s just me …. most guests are all their curry….

The receptionist is really nice. They will keep your key when you go out, you don’t need to worry about missing the key. The location is really close to station with only 5 minutes walk. Two convenient stores are next to the hotel. They provide simple breakfast without charge and it’s delicious.

When you pull out the key in the room, the fridge is shutdown which is annoying.
