The staff were excellent and made every effort to be helpful. The rooms, though small, were comfortable (the single room was the same size as the double room). The location was very convenient for the station and eateries. The laundry facilities were excellent and could be checked on the screen in the room. The room was quiet even though there was construction next door. We sourced our own breakfast from the excellent bread shops in the station and from the convenience stores next to the hotel. Once we worked out the complex layout of the station we made good use of the excellent railway links, including the direct link to Narita Airport (JR) and to Haneda Airport (not JR), both of which we used.

Difficult to find the hotel given the complexity of Yokohama station and the construction work next to the hotel. Not that keen about having the wash hand basin in the room and the relative lack of hanging and storage space both of which seem to be general features of Richmond Hotels. We travel light but struggled to find space to keep the room tidy. Some hooks from Daiso would have been very useful.

It was very modern! and very clean and it looked like a house. i could live in that room. i would setup a game room and do my streaming videos in that kind of room. and i really like a dark room so the curtains made it really dark. i loved that.

i didnt like that the thermostat had a very bright light. that is the only thing that i didnt really like. but that was really my only complaint.

2 minute walk from the station. Good restaurants nearby.

You have a laundromat that washes and dries. The dry cycle is slow to dry. I discovered looking around the tub to make sure I had everything when it was finished that there was a lot of water below the tub swishing around when I turned the tub. You can't get things bone dry when you have water like that right below the tub. I'd suggest a make that really drains before drying.

The location is nice compared to other choices near the main train station. The room is clean. There is plenty of sunlight in the room during the day, which is good for doing work in the room.

The receptionists are obviously doing their best, but they can be better trained in English language skills. After all, Yokohama is a big city with many foreign business and leisure visitors, and this hotel is obviously not tuned solely for domestic guests.

Awesome location, super convenient, and right outside of hotel are bars and restaurants. Super busy at night, if you like night life this is the hotel to stay at in Yokohama. Super easy to walk to Yokohama station.

If you don’t like the business right outside of the hotel, you might not like that. However, hotel rooms are super quiet and very clean lobby with disposables available for guests.

The location of the motel in relation to Yokohama railway station was ideal - just an easy walk. Staff were very efficient and managed to convey what was needed, despite the language barrier. Our room was on the 14th floor from memory and had great views over the streets below. Room on the small side, but well appointed.

This hotel was the equivalent of something much more expensive. A very large room, by Japanese city standards. Coin laundry was easy to use, and progress of the wash could be observed from the TV in my room. I will definitely check out the Richmond chain of hotels when I stay in other Japanese cities.

Richmond is 1 of my favorite choices. This is the 1st time I stayed at this one. Staff are friendly and helpful upon my check-in, enquiry, and check out. I opt for no cleansing during my 4 days' stay. They replaced the towels, cleared the garbage, and made up my bed without changing the linen. As what I need.

Great location!! Two minutes from the station. The room was a good size, with a comfortable bed, great coffee, and a large bath! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Able to drop bags off before check in. Check out is easy, even if you have extras to pay for - it's all automated with a check out machine. Which is great!

The staffs were fluent in English, and were very kind and attentive. One of the nights where I had to get some documents printed, the staff assisted readily and promptly, solving a huge pickle for me!! Would be a huge problem for me if I did not have the documents printed for my meeting!
