Even I didn't give it 10/10 but my husband and I agreed that we will stay here again if we go to Tokyo again. Location and comfort are super! It locates few minutes (3-4mins) walking to 2 JR lines and metro line, with this price, you cannot find better! It's not close to Shinjuku/Shibuya (around 35-40mins by train) but it is very close to Ueno and around. Also, the room size is typical in Tokyo but we managed to stay comfortably with 1 small child (4 y/o) and 3 big luggages. The hotel gave us a feeling of homey somehow.

As other reviews about the noise, yes it does loud but to me, who is very hard to sleep, I wasn't bothered by that. I got used to it in few days and later days, I got so tired from walking/travelling so I slept without any problem. There was also toilet smell which I dont like the most about the hotel but it was not a big deal if you compare with the price and location.

Great location and very near to train station (about 2 - 3 mins walk). Next to AEON supermarket and not far from 7E shop. The room we stayed in was very clean and spacious. Not forgetting, the bed was comfy, too. Some people commented that the train track sound was noisy, but for us, it did not bother us at all. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and 1 of them can actually speak 4 languages. When returning to the hotel at the end of the day, without fail, we usually take a short stop at the lobby to enjoy their complimentary coffee and ice cream before heading upstairs. .

The hotel's location is perfect by far, it just 5 minutes from Nishi-Nippori Station by foot, We stayed in this hotel for 7 days, We took any public transportation in a easy way just because the perfect location. We are family guest with 2 adults and 2 kids, the hotel(or platform) appoint a room with Japanese style tatami(榻榻米) and two beds, which exceed my expectation, My kids were enjoying the facility very much. the facility are clean as well, and the reception staff are warm hearted to help us to book location restaurant. First of all, nearly all of the staffs can speak Chinese which make me feeling like at home.

It has a little bit noise because of the train trail, It can not be avoid objectively, You know, you can not have all the good things at once.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Tucked away in a side street, the hotel was modern and clean. While the hotel itself was quite small, the room was large and spacious. Located in Nishi Nippori, it was a 5 minute walk to the train station. This station is a stop on the Yamanote (City Loop) Line, making it super practical to get around. Amenities were provided in the lobby, and there were many additional items that could be loaned from reception. The hotel also had coined operating washer/dryer machines.

The hotel is right next to an elevated train line, so there is always train noise (as trains run from 4am to 12am). The hotel were clearly understanding of this though, as earplugs were offered.

It's quite small for a 3-star hotel in my opinion, but the room is very comfy with everything you need. The staffs are very friendly and nice. Some staff members don't understand English at all, but they are all very courteous and helpful regardless. Also, they are very responsive. I had some last-minute adjustments at midnight, changing the days from 4 to 3. The hotel staff responded almost immediately.

Probably the location. I mean it's great when you want to check out the eastern part of Tokyo like Ueno-Akihabara and Asakusa-Ryogoku. But other than that you have to take a few more lines to reach the more popular spots in the city. If you want to cover the whole of Tokyo, Ginza would be a better choice than Nishi-Nippori

Best feature: Hotel Location, and helpful staff. Location is very close to a train station, and with convenience stores and local eateries nearby. Good value for us. Lobby has coffee machine, extra toiletries (shower cap, facial wash, toner, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving gel, and etc), water dispenser, and popsicles in the afternoon. Elevator can use a better air conditioning but since there's not too many floors high up, it was still bearable to be inside it (it was sizzling hot summer weather during our stay). Laundry room at 2nd floor is a plus! We were able to use it during our stay. Room (Western - Japanese style combo) is quite spacious for the four of us to sleep in, but moving around the room is bit tricky (narrow lane path), and it will be tight if you have many luggage. Since we're familiar with hotel sizes in Japan within this budget, we travel light and since we're only in Tokyo for few days, the space is alright with us. We were able to store our luggage at the lobby when we checked out, and continued exploring Tokyo before we headed out to the airport. The room has a fridge, and an electric kettle. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash along with hair dryer were provided in the bathroom. They even have loaners (dyson hair dryer, hair straightener, kids board games, toys, etc) in the lobby area to rent for free (didn't take up this opportunity). Train noise - yes, we can hear the train passing quite frequently but all of us passed out after hitting 20K++ steps in a day, we're too tired to be bothered by the noise. If you're very sensitive to noise/super light sleeper, this hotel might not be for you. I noticed they did double insulation window and used heavy door to help with noise reduction. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to those who travel light, not too sensitive with noise from train passing, want short distance to train station, are on a budget, and considered themselves as easy going traveler.

None. We have all we need from this hotel. Train passing noise can be uncomfortable in the beginning, but we all get used to it eventually, and we also kept in mind that all the locals that live nearby also been dealing with this day to day. We chose this hotel because it was a short walking distance to the train station and was within our budget.

It has the best pillows that we had in Japan; very fluffy and comfortable. We had the best sleep here. The room we had was bigger than the normal Japanese hotel. It has a tatami area for sitting and an entry way. Feels like living in a Japanese apartment. The staffs were amazing and spoke very good English. The location cannot be better - Close to Nippori station which has direct train to NRT airport. Lots of restaurants and convenient stores around to get food. Walking distance to some nice attractions (Yanaka Ginza, temples etc.) We would definitely stay here again - perfect for a start and ending point in Tokyo.

This hotel doesn't feel as clean as other hotels we stayed in Japan. The room is a little dusty in some areas, and it has a strong smell in the room. However, the pros really outstand the cons. Other reviews were talking about the train track noises, this didn't bother us at all. We could hear the train but it was quite subtle. I would say unless you are extremely sensitive with noise, it shouldn't be a problem.

It is very near Nishi-Nippori sta.(Yamanote line). There are many restaurants nearby and also a convenient store. Staffs are really nice and helpful. I LOVE the coffee they provide for free. I must say it's the REAL GOOD coffee, strongly recommended for coffee lovers. There are also milk icecream provided which also tastes good. Eventhough they don't have breakfast service, for me, the coffee fullfill everything.

When they make the room, I think they didn't change the bedsheet. It's okay for me but it's like you clean everything but always left one thing unclean which is a bit strange in my opinion

We LOVED our stay at hotel Tokyo trip! We looked forward to going back to our room every night. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the room was so big and fit all of our suitcases and even then some! They had tons of places for us to actually unpack and get settled. The location is great. Two min from Yamanote line which got us everywhere in Tokyo. You do hear the train but we use a white sound machine every night anyway. The staff were super helpful and helped us ship our luggage to Kyoto. Answered all questions we had. We loved coming back to this quiet street at the end of every intense day in Tokyo. Standing sushi place right near, bars and restaurants. The free coffee downstairs was delicious and so was the ice cream! We looked forward to it as our dessert every night :) Super worth the price. Thank you!!!
