- The location is good but not that perfect. There is a bus stop in front of hotel (only bus no.50) There are Family Mart / Fresco supermarket and Life supermarket nearby which is very convenient and most of them are open 24 hours - Room layout is exactly like in the picture when booking - The room size is normal (not big and not small for Japanese standard) and have enough room for 2 big luggage - All amenities are provided (slipper / hair dryer / cutlery / toiletries / 2 cubes of detergent). A bunch of towels to change also - Free wifi is working good - There is a 2-seat sofa in the room we booked and small table for all-purpose used - Washing machine is in good condition and you can use the dryer in the bathroom to dry your cloth overnight (there's a manual for everything in a room) - The reception waiting area is quite small and receptionist is not always there (they already told you upon booking that receptionist has to patrol the hotel by the time) - The elevator is small but in good condition - I recommend staying 2 persons only as it will be too packed for 3 people

- We can hear voices from the room upstairs but not that loud (not that disturbing but would be better if 100& soundproof) - If travelling by train, the location is quite far from station - The cutlery and kitchen facilities are very limited. It's good just for when you buy something easy to eat but not suitable for cooking a meal - Overall room is clean at first glance, but some small areas are still dusty (bed / bathroom door)

Large room/apartment, it changes quite much from standard small hotel room. Since it's an apartment, the equipment were good: * Bedroom: bed, Sofa, TV * Kitchen: Stove, micro-wave, kettle, washing machine Location is convenient, 5 min by walk from Shijo subway station, 3 min from Fresco supermarket open 24h/24.

The bed was just a double bed, there's more than enough space to put a queen size bed ... it would have been perfect. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking stuffs but strangely, it's lacking some real bowls (some one-use paper bowls are available at the entrance of the hotel) ...

Spacious, clean, we even had some cherry blossoms for the view outside of the window. Staff was super helpful and nice. There are a couple of vending machines inside the hotel itself. There are a couple of bus lines on the street and there's a station very near to the hotel.

Because there are a lot of hotels from this branch/brand, you can get easily lost looking for the one you booked on your maps app. We arrived to two of these before finally arriving to the correct one, even if by accident. Though, that might've been our fault.

The hotel is in good location, close to metro stations and walking distance from shopping and restaurants. I liked to have a small functional kitchen , and my own washer !very quiet and respectful staff ! I would recommend staying at this facility

The mattress though was kinda stiff and so uncomfortable, the comforter was too heavy , good for winter not for summer . The room was so small and dusty, not enough storage for your clothes or your luggage! You can barely move around the bed, The tv was old fashioned, not a smart tv

The rooms were comfortable and clean. The washing machine and microwave were very useful to have in the same room. The location is peaceful and good for subway and buses. There is a Life supermarket nearby as well as konbinis and restaurants.

We were a family of 4 with 2 rooms. We got rooms on 2 different floors and it was difficult moving between rooms. We were told the hotel was fully booked and nothing could be done. It would be great if the hotel could provide an option for this especially if it's a family. Also, the room on the ground floor opened into a wall and no light could get in. We asked for an iron but were told on all 3 days that it was unavailable. Maybe have a system in place so that all guests could avail of it.

We loved our stay at "Stay Sakura Kyoto Shijo Karasuma". They offer the fantastic service of luggage store free of charge (just bring them to their Guest Service Office, and then, it will be delivered to your room. You can do the check in there, too, even earlier than 3pm. We did it at 10am). Our hotel had a very good location from a subway/bus station and a few restaurants, is easy to find. Place was clean, heating and appliances worked well. Beds were clean, smelled good, we slept nicely and warm. Amenities were of good quality. Overall, we recommend this place and will stay here again!

About the laundry, there is no dryer, but there is a laundry a few steps away from the hotel.

Simple. Clean. It’s located a walkable distance to a lot of local restaurants and spots and trendy touristy parts. It’s a quiet area but safe to walk anytime of day. Major bus lines run a few blocks away that will take you to the shrines and monuments. Staff is very nice when they are there. The space was perfect for a solo traveler or a couple with light luggage. They do have family rooms that are much bigger.

They don’t have a flexibility for checking in but they do have an option to leave your luggage at reception if you arrive early.

Top location, lovely staff who speak English very well, great value for price, comfy little flat. You can drop your luggage at the Service Center near Kyoto Station and they will forward it to your property. I'll definitely stay here again when I return to Kyoto.

There was no kitchen towel to dry the dishes after washing. And there were only two very small plates in the cupboard, no bowls or bigger plates and no knives, just forks and spoons and chopsticks. For one person, the size of the place was just right, but if you're travelling as a group it might get a bit packed in there.

I enjoyed my 8 days there , the room was cleaned , and the bed was big and comfy. And there was also a washing machine inside the room, for a long holidays to stay here was perfect, I could have clean clothes to wear . I enjoyed so much hot bath after long walks in Kyoto . The location was also great ! I could easy catch a bus to go anywhere I want to go. I really enjoyed staying there! Next time when I go I will definitely choose here again!

Thank you for the special Welcome/Birthday greeting and biscuits for my Mom's 86th birthday! Helpful receptionists, washing machine and kitchen utensils, unique toilet with spout and warm seat, shower bathing experience outside the tub (which we almost missed until we were told about it). Useful instructions on how to use appliances but best to update/check if consistent with what is in the room. Though we didn't get to use it, there's a bus stops nearby - info location and on bus routes will be helpful for planning purposes. Useful maps.

Google maps didn't give us a more direct walking path from train station to hotel. No convenient 3in1 coffee in the room for odd hrs.
