Very nice hotel, the rooms are comfortable to stay in, and the room is reasonably large enough. It's also not far from the city center, it's around a 20 minute walk. There are also convenience stores and supermarkets within a 3-5 min walking distance, so it's very convenient.

Arrived early to drop bags and to our surprise we were allowed to check in early which is unusual for Japan and the only time it happened in three weeks. We had the family room with an extra bed that we didn't need and also cut down on the available space. Kitchenette with some equipment but we didn't self cater and it didn't seem to be too well set up especially the very low table. A very useful washing machine in the room with some very basic instructions in English which we managed to work out. Shower/bath unit is a single compartment with a separate ceiling mounted heater which dried our clothes in no time. There is even a small TV the size of a paperback novel in the wall which you could watch while having a bath - never seen that before.

Extra bed took up too much space. Difficult to squeeze past with only a 60cm gap between bed and wall plus a wall mounted TV to make the gap even smaller. We both travel hand luggage only and noticed lack of storage. Big suitcase and a lot of clothes would have been a problem. Hall light on a motion sensor. Not good for a nighttime visit to the bathroom. Fixed problem with a band-aid over the sensor.

Huge room with all facilities available: microwave, the washing machine, hanger, a double and single bed, etc..., and the space was quite spacious for a Japanese room. The location was about a 10-15 minute walk to a train station, which isn't the closest, but it's still pretty good. A few stops away from Gion. A pleasant stay overall.

The owner was nowhere to be seen when we wanted to check-in, and the delivery driver (for linens etc) had to page the owner to come to reception a few times (there was no bell to press for attention). However, I understand that sometimes he is busy manning the hotel.

Lovely room in a really nice building. Conveniently located in a quite neighborhood, near to bus/train station. Room was spacious, beds were comfy, they have elevator to take up your luggage and we were able to drop it before check in.

Nothing major, we found that the reception was pretty much unattended all the time. We wanted to rent bicycles for the day and they couldn't make us a clear suggestion where to go. Some info around the attractions and services in the area would be a good idea.

My kids like the homely feel of the apartment hotel. Basic amenities provided but do bring your own moisturiser/lotion. Nice to be able to do some laundry as there is a washing machine and detergent powder provided inside your room. You can dry your clothes with hangers provided.

Location was not as great as expected but you live around charming little streets among the residents. About 5-10min walk to nearest supermarket and 7-11. Also near a nice sushi restaurant called Kikyo. .

We are quite satisfied with this place as it met our expectations. It is located really close to a subway station that can take anywhere in Kyoto within minutes. The staff we interacted with in the hotel were very friendly and accommodating with our needs. We would definitely stay here again.

Lots of people complain that this place offers no room service during your stay and that you need to sort the rubbish out yourself too, but the rules are very clear in the description. It was no issue for us. We don't have anything to complain about.

It is a bit away from all the major sight seeing places in Kyoto, but a 7-10 minute walk to subway. There are some neighborhood bars and restaurants nearby (we especially enjoyed Antonio's). It was nice the rooms have washing machine / small kitchen but we didn't use them. There is a booklet of instructions in English on how to use all the appliances in the room.

We stayed in July and the air conditioner isn't on unless the card is in the thing on the wall. So when we walked in the room it was stiflingly hot. There was also a sign saying the neighborhood is sensitive about noise and foreigners which didn't give us a warm and fuzzy feeling but I appreciate the hotel giving us a heads up to be extra mindful.

The hotel is in a great location, close to a subway station, convenience stores and a number of tourist attractions. The room is spacious with a couch and a kitchen. The staff are very friendly. Check-in and -out went smoothly.

The headboard was a little bit dusty on top. The bathroom smelled like urine when we walked in the first time. Sadly our room did not have the floor table and floor chairs as in the pictures, but the couch was as good.

I like the spaciousness of the room. It has all e amenities in the room, like washing machine, cooker and oven. Even with my family of 5, we still have space to open up our luggage wide. There is also a table, sofa, and chairs for us to hang around to take our supper! Family mart, super market and 7-11 are just around the corner. Excellent!!

Though the location is near to the stations, around 10 minutes walk. It can be quite dark at night to walk to the hotel.
