Large room compared to others hotel. The position is wonderful: 5 min walking distance from all metro/train station so perfect if you need something for sightseening. Just few min walking from kyoto tower . Staff is friendly.

Breakfast has a limited choice if you come from europe,but that s really a minor point,we are in Japan anyway! ;)

Excellent location, depending on where you exit from the station, but from the central exit it's about 2-3 mins walk. There's a few convenience shops close by, if that isn't enough, the station has a lot more, shops, department store, restaurants, etc. The lounge was especially nice, and was surprisingly unoccupied both times I went there. There is free drinks like juices and water. The lounge is using the same space as the breakfast area, once past noon it's converted to be used as a lounge for all the hotel guests. For the room itself, it has a tasteful design, there is some Japan inspired deco, and the amount of space is just right. Nothing bad; and also nothing too exceptional. Staff speaks good English and are very courteous.

Excellant hotel and ample choice for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and nice to see someone at a reception desk instead of a machine, people add to the holiday experience. Location next to the train station is fantastic and my only comment would be is that we had difficulty locating the hotel. As you looked down the street from the traffic lights the hotel is stepped back and blocked by the previous building. After the first day we came across another holiday couple that were looking for the hotel with the same location problem, we pointed them to the hotel so no issues. Google maps can be confusing at times and if you have no internet then other difficulties would arise.

Only comment would be directions to the hotel, apart from that it was excellent.

We love the hotel itself. The vibe is a merge between old Kyoto and modern Kyoto. It felt upscale yet rustic. The food at their buffet was terrific. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The room has a microwave, which was a plus for us. We were able to bring food from 711 to save for later. The location was ideal. It's very close to Kyoto Station and several convenience stores. Lastly, the staff went above and beyond to help us reunite with an essential item that we had left behind in our room. We didn't even notice until a staff called us. They shipped our item to us in Tokyo, and we greatly appreciated it.

The room had ample lighting but it wasn't bright enough for me. I felt the lighting was a bit muted and too yellow. Otherwise, everything was great.

Very convenient location once you get your head around the confusing layout of the train station. Unfortunately i exiting the round side and ended up walking over 20mins dragging two cases across a bridge! (It would be good to make it clear which exit on the website). Also the laundry room is a welcome addition if you are in the middle of a trip and need a reset.

Room was fine, just a bit small and the windows didn’t provided any view and were blurred out, which I found a bit claustrophobic. (Should have made it clear on the website at time of booking)

Perfect location on the east side of Kyoto Station, but on a quiet street. Spacious and carefully furnished rooms. Excellent cleanliness and comfort. Comfortable and welcoming common areas. Particular attention is paid to the choice of environmental scents and to the musical selection, both extremely pleasant, and to the environmental sustainability. The staff are friendly, helpful and truly professional. Appropriate internet connection and comfortable rest point with tea, coffee and juices available to guests until midnight. Possibility to leave your luggage after check-out. Highly recommended

The location is just incredible. It takes you literally less than 5 mins from Kyoto station to the hotel. The breakfast was quite nice. Sometimes one has to queue if it's fully booked. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I also enjoy the bathtub in my room. the size of the room is quite spacious.

There aren't any extra facilities such as spa, onsen, gym, which is a pity. Based on the price I've paid I'd have expected a little bit more. But overall it's a great stay!!

Breakfast was excellent. I just missed liquid regular milk.

Apparently I didn't notice when ordering, if it was mentioned there that the room does not have a window. It would definitely bother me for a longer stay. There were several lights in the room, well placed, but not strong enough for me in the absence of natural light. I would also like to mention the possibility of washing. There are only two washing machines and dryers on the seventh floor, and if someone sets the washing and drying together for 120 minutes twice in a row, no one else will do their laundry that evening. It would require dryers separately.

room cleaned every day, breakfast was both western and Japanese (and good coffee!), room was spacious, mini fridge and kettle in room, tea and coffee available in the breakfast room all the time, night wear included!

the room was very hot the first night and there are no opening windows. when checking in they gave us instructions for the air conditioner but we didn’t get it right. we enquired at the front deck and she could tell that the heat was on. she instructed us on the correct way of using the control and we were cool (and comfortable) the rest of our stay. so it was all fine!
