The hotel is well appointed with so many beautiful features. I will highly recommend the property. It's 5mins walk from the Keihan Main Line, and easy to get around.

It was very stylish, extremely clean, the room was much more spacious than other Japanese hotels. The design was amazing. There was a music party with a live DJ in the lobby Saturday night, it was super fun too. The staff was very casual but polite. Everyone can speak English. Also, the restaurant (Cicon) was SUPER delicious and high class (not too expensive though. Not to mention the bakery in the lobby. Great service.

There is nothing I could mention.

A delicious breakfast with custom made eggs gourmet style. An amazing selection of breads from their own bakery. A nice rooftop bar to unwind in the evenings.

Everything was great. We especially enjoyed: - The very cozy rooms (very comfortable beds, everything was extremely clean) and really good value for money - The hotel restaurant serves delicious food in a beautiful decor (open kitchen, very cool bar...) - There is a bakery on the ground floor IN the hotel which makes the most delicious pastries and coffee, almost all day long (perfect for breakfast / after a long day of walking) - The hotel has a rooftop with a beautiful view on Kyoto. You can enjoy a cocktail there or get delicious snacks - The hotel is located on a rather busy street but everything is completely soundproof so you won't hear a thing. And still get the benefit of being on a large avenue, meaning: there are a few shops/restaurants nearby, it is very easily accessible by taxi and the metro is less than 10 min way (pretty rare for Kyoto since there are only 2 metro lines) All in all we were very impressed with the quality of the service provided given the price paid. Truly a gem.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Fairly easy to get to with a short bus or taxi ride from Kyoto Station. Awesome location to walk around our use public transportation around Kyoto. Extremely close to some of the famous sites and shrines in the City. The bakery, restaurant, and rooftop bar are all phenomenal. Staff was great, and beds were insanely comfortable.

Although they do have laundry machines/dryers, it would be helpful if they had a few more so that it wasn't a long wait--but small thing on top of how much we loved being here in general.

Staying at this hotel in Kyoto was the highlight of our Japan trip. Rooms were exceptional in terms of space and comfort of beds. Super cool bathroom and shower with high quality amenities. They had a buffet breakfast, and choices from a menu for different type of egg dishes. There is an amazing cafe/bakery (Cicon) on site if you can't get up early enough for breakfast (ends at 10:00am). We also had a delicious dinner at the restaurant (Cicon); works well especially if you are traveling with a family like ours (5 people) and sometimes it is hard to find restaurant that can accommodate that many people. Art on the walls were also beautiful and interesting. I would not even think of staying somewhere else in my next trip to Kyoto.

Breakfast ends at 10:00 which is a bit early in my opinion. But this is how Japan works I guess :)

Great location with modern decor. The beam and post design and an abundance of plants created a welcoming environment in the lobby, and the smell of freshly made bread and cakes from the bakery located near the check-in counter was always something to look forward to. The rooms were modern and well appointed. The rooftop bar was a sensation and such a pleasant surprise.

The seating arrangements for the rooftop bar were orchestrated like a restaurant. I thought there might have been some scope to allow this to happen a little more organically where various groups had more freedom to intermingle and share the stories from their trips (should they choose to do so). It may have to be done this way due to the various heaters and strict fire safety requirements, but there seems to be an opportunity to enhance this already great social experience. Dinner potions at the hotel restaurant were meagre, although very tasty. If you are looking for a hearty meal after a busy day exploring Kyoto you may want to look outside of the hotel itself. Infotainment options are lacking. Still needs some work to bring it up to a truly enjoyable standard.

The staff were very pleasant and tried to help where they could, but also spoke very little English. Take your translation device with you. There is a very pleasant rooftop terrace, and a coffee shop/bakery in the lobby of the hotel where you can get freshly made pastries and sandwiches. Nice to have a coin laundry in the basement of the hotel.

The breakfast could have been better - there were 5 main menu items, with all except one being egg dishes. The dishes arrived at the table fairly soggy, swimming in juices probably from the bake beans on the plate. Otherwise the dishes were plentiful. Also, in the room the toilet and shower are in a separate closed off area, but the washbasin is in the main part of the room. It would be nice if they installed a towel rack in the shower area, so one doesn't have to remember to take a towel from the main area before going in for a shower.

Nice sized room (better than others at this price). terrific breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The hotel has a wonderful bakery right in the lobby which we loved- great pizza breads and sandwhichaes and amazing partries.I would definitely stay at the hotel again. The staff were unusually helpful and friendly.

The hotel pastry and sandwhich shop did not open until 8 am and so if you are headed out to the sites to see early its not possible to get anything (includin coffee , to go. The Restaurant does open at 7 but there is no ability to pack up food for on the road. This was my only complaint.

Nice Hotel in a good location, walk-able to key sites. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room were excellent, a little tight in space but we encountered that at all cities visited. Staff was helpful when approached, a bit reserved otherwise. May be cultural. Nice bakery in the lobby with plenty of good options, and rooftop bar was also nice though a bit cold (time of year). They do limit how long you can stay, it was a 2 hour limit. That was fine. I'd stay here again though know that key sites in Kyoto are a bit spread out so combination of taxis, buses, trains are needed to get around. So factor that. JR Main Train Station is a taxi ride away, not walking distance.

Only thing that came up for me and my family was the front desk staff was a bit more reserved and standoffish than I think they should have been. Though when I needed help, they were very good about assisting. So it was odd, they're demeanor.
