Stunning characterful traditional Japanese house in Kyoto - we enjoyed the change from hotel rooms in Tokyo - so much space for a family of five, beautifully furnished and decorated, and spotlessly clean. The property managers are super organised and it was really easy finding the property and checking in. We had planned day trips out of Kyoto so enjoyed being a 10 min walk to the station, but also five mins from two different temple complexes, and easy access by foot / subway to the main sights of Kyoto. Beautiful accommodation and a highlight of our trip - would definitely stay again!

Spotlessly clean. Generally well equipped. 'western style' beds exceptionally comfortable. Location convenient to get to main station. Great option for Aircon and heating. Shower was lovely. Very quiet neighbourhood. Very responsive to a couple of queries on booking.com while we were there (we didn't meet staff).
We were 6 adults and really needed a better airer(s) for drying clothes as we were there for 9 nights. Maybe plastic crockery is typical in Japan(?) but I would have liked some proper plates, bowls etc for that standard of accommodation.

The house was beautiful and had more than enough space for me and my family of six. It was in a quiet neighborhood that was not too far from food and other shops.
There were no shower caps in the bathroom. The house was very cold and so was the floor, so rugs would've been nice. With that said, I do not know if Japanese homes use many rugs. There were no mirrors upstairs and the stairs were a bit steep and short, making them difficult to navigate.

It's perfect house, close to central station and minimarkets. It's big place with all kinds of space for all teams of big family. On the kitchen we had fined all that we need: soya sauce, coffee tea, all seasonings, oil, etc. Big table for all big family.
