The location was excellent, just ten minutes walk from Kyoto Station, with lots of convenience stores and restaurants around but, still quiet during night. The appartment had enough room for us five (with a temporary bed) and our suitcases, even if we had to sacrifice some seating space. The bathroom/shower and lavatory were also big enough The appartment had everything we needed in terms of appliances and commodities. We appreciated especially having the washing machine, as we stayed for several days. We also had the opportunity to leave our luggage safely in the store room the day we checked out and to pick it up laterr during the day.

The appartment was more suited for four than for five but still confortable enough for us five. The reception didn't work 24h but only for about 10h but it was possible to call a service center any time and to get in and out by ourselves without any issue.

The main advantage of the hotel is the young gentelman at the reception desk, that speaks good English and is very friendly - it was the first person in Japan that I could ask some of the questions that I had about japanese every day life. The hotel overall met my needs, however it looks bigger and more funky on photos than it is in reality. The room was equipped with ironing set and some cookware, that we used.

The room for 4 guests is too small to comfortably fit four people with large suitcases and backpacks - there is no place to store them, so our room instantly became stacked.

I like that within branches of Resi Stay, this one had front desks available daily from 3-10pm and luggage storage available in the hotel. Staffs were friendly, helpful and responsive. Even though there was no one at the front desk, they were actually just a phone call away. The room was spacious for a family of five with two rooms and the sofa can open up to become a bed. It was also cute, neat and clean. Lots of amenities available and the best was definitely the washing machine and we used the drying mode in the bathroom to dry the clothes. There were also refrigerator and oven which was convenient for breakfast/supper. There were instructions and also rules printed out in a book in every room, so please read carefully.

Location was a bit far from Kyoto station, about 1km which took 10-15mins walk, manageable but tiring. It was located at a residential area, quiet but not many restaurants around.

The accommodations here suited us well. Like most places in Japan, the rooms are smaller, but it had everything we needed. We especially appreciated having a washing machine in our room. There was also a unique bathroom clothes drying heating/fan function that allowed you to hang your clothes to dry in the shower area of your bathroom. This was all very helpful as we visited in the summer and needed to wash our clothes more often. While it was a 15 minute walk from Kyoto Station, there were some restaurants and cafes nearby. We enjoyed our stay and how affordable it was.

Thanks to the instruction at Resi Stay, we were able to walk from Kyoto station to the receiption desk and the receiptionist lady was very nice and helpful. She helped us to check in, kept our luggage and booked a shuttle bus to the hotel for us. It turned out if we walked it may take about 15-20 minutes to the hotel, but the ride was useful especially we didn't have to drag our luggage under the summer heat in Kyoto. It was raining when we arrived, they also offered us free umbrellas, very useful. We requested two rooms closed by and got one on the 3rd one on the 4th, weren't too closed but not too far. The rooms were modern and clean. We liked the bath salt and the body towel. The neighbourhood was very quiet, clean and safe. Closed to many shrines and temples. Walking to Kyoto station would take about 20 minutes. Convenient store was just around the corner.

The kitchen's shelf was very high. It would be very helpful to have a little stool in the room to get dishes. The room has dryer and dryer fan in the bathroom but we didn't know how for our room. Perhaps we didn't read the room manual thoroughly! Attempted to walk to Kiyomizu-dera temple for the sunset around 6 km distance, but got defeated by Kyoto heat!!

The location was perfect due to the closeness to Kyoto Station, access to all transportation methods for travel around Kyoto and outside of Kyoto, it was a short 10-15 mins walk, walkable with large luggage. The area around the location are residential, away from the noisy main streets, so it is very quiet at night, very good for light sleeper. The apartment is exactly as expected, small but got everything you need. The best part is the included washer, and dryer function in the bathroom, to be able to do laundry without waiting like at a normal hotel. Laundry detergents are provided and information on usage are provided in the information booklet in the room.

The only thing I think is really lacking is a foldable hanger with multiple-clips for hanging smaller items for laundry drying that is normally included in other Japanese apartment rentals. You only get 2 hangers per pax, 1 with 2-clips and 1 normal, not enough for laundry (1 shirt, 1 pants, 2 socks, 1 underwear, 1 undershirt), unless you want to do laundry more frequently, like everyday. Folding the wet laundry item on the pole in the shower doesn't work well, as the folded side of the items does not dry properly even after 8 hours.

Using the Japanese bathroom dryer was a experience. Great to see how Japanese compact everything into a small apartment to get you everything you need. It is also close to the Kyoto Station, Gion District, Nijo Castle, also udon noddle spot across the street from the corner of the hotel, and other Kyoto attraction/tourist spot is very close by too.

The apartment could be a little cleaner. There were some hairs on the floor and couch. It was like they didn't thoroughly examine the spots after cleaning to make sure the room is clean clean.

Apartment was quite spacious, home-like feel. Comfortable for longer stay. Cheap bikes available.

Cleaning could've been more thorough - all main areas were clean, however some of the less used spaces (wardrobe etc.) were a bit dusty. Overally quite dark, especially rooms on the ground floor.

We had booked two rooms and each room had a kitchenette & laundry facilities. Internet available as well as complimentary Netflix. Location was close enough to JR Kyoto / Shin-Kyoto stations but far away that it felt like you were further away from the main roads. Buses are at nearly every corner so accessing the rest of Kyoto was easy. Room was larger compared to other spaces (we stayed in a Hello Kitty room) & the other room was standard size but if you factor in the space for the kitchenette & laundry & small courtyard, it was bigger than other accommodations around Japan. Staff were helpful when we needed them. We forwarded our luggage and when we arrived, we were missing one piece, they were able to locate within 2 hours. When our wifi connection kept dropping out for a couple of days, they came and fixed it for us and did some problem solving as well. We would stay there again if we come back to Kyoto in the future.

We had two days of wifi connectivity issues, the router kept playing up. It was a bit of an inconvenience to get it fixed but after a couple of days of problem solving, the staff figured out what the issue was and no issues after that 😬

Starting from the beginning, the apartment is very close to the main road and to the train station. The receptionist spoke English, and the check-in process was so easy. The room had an instructions book that had everything we needed to know about the room. Including what was close by and suggestions on what to see near the area. That was the most helpful thing we experienced while in Japan.

I didn't like the layout of the room. The room was small and we kept hitting the corner of the bed near the restroom. Also, the beds were not very comfortable. Other than that, it was a really good place to stay at.
