No breakfast booked. Location very convenient with underground, shops and restaurants nearby. Reception staff very polite and helpful.

Even though booking includes all fees and taxes please note that a Kyoto city tax will be applied upon check in. Please revise under the beds during cleaning for there was quite a lot of dust.

It was clean. No dust on shelves, clean toilet and bathroom. Lot of room, toilet separate from bathroom. Tatami and nice atmosphere. Very good and helpful people in the service and kitchen especially.

Only 2 washmachines-dryer hybrids for whole hotel. Program run for 2 hours and they had only 4kg capacity. There was always line and people trying to use them but could not. Carpet wasn't cleaned on the cleaning day(witch is every 3rd day anyway!). There was a lot of dust under the bed. Breakfast: Was expensive(2000 yen) and really mediocore. Non-eatable sausages, same thing every day. Nice dessert choices and fruits. Bento option was worst bento i had eaten in japan. Couldn't open window and it was hardened glass so you couldn't see anything either way.

Great location, near the subway and 20 min by walk to Pontocho or the Kyoto stayion, but in a quiet area. The room was big enough, the beds super confortable, the separated shower area was quite roomey. The staff was very nice.

There was not space for clothes storage. We were traveling for 2.5 weeks (6 nights in Kyoto) on a small suitcase each and couldn’t really get the clothes out of the suitcase during our stay. There are 4 hangers in a rack on the wall, which was barely enough for our jackets. It wasn’t a big deal for us though, and we were able to leave some clothes on the table, chairs and counters

We stayed here for four nights and honestly we could've comfortably stayed for a month and more. The rooms are spacious, extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped. The staff are lovely and the general ambiance of the hotel was nice too. Room service daily at no additional cost was a bonus. The location is brilliant, nearby to many convience stores and resturants. The hotel is located nearby to the subway, or only a 10-15 minute walk from Kyoto Station making it easy to get to our daily activities. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but we walked past it each day and it looked good. The room itself was also very qiuet and we couldn't hear any street noise or noise from other guests. The hotel also has a self-service laundry and vending machines.

The rooms were beautiful. There was a tatami mat section where they ask you to make sure you walk on without shoes. The rooms weren't huge, but they were comfortable and even had a small table with two chairs you could eat at. The bathroom was big and it was a "wet" bathroom, which I don't mind, though you could certainly use the tub to shower as well. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of plugs and lighting options. There was a small fridge if you wanted to use it. Also, the breakfast was amazing. Not a huge selection, but everything was delicious. There were Japanese and Western choices.

The location was fine, but not great. It wasn't in the middle of a touristy area, which could be a positive for some people. The nearest train station was only a 5 minute walk, though there wasn't really much in the area. It was about a 20-25 minute walk to the nearest touristy areas. We would've preferred something closer to one of the major areas, but it didn't prevent us from enjoying our stay at all.

The best value for money hotel during our trip to Japan. Got the superior twin room, which was plenty of space and very comfortable for me and my friend. More spacious compared to most hotels you would find for this price. Very clean, very beautifully designed, and we even got a room on a high floor with a view of the Kyoto Tower! Staff was very lovely and helpful. We interacted with one staff who spoke good English, and one who didn't speak much English, but was very patient and used a translator device to help. Pretty close to Kyoto Station, 17 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride, which was very convenient for us arriving by Shinkansen to Kyoto.

Not the best location for site-seeing, about 10 minute walk from busses and trains that would take you to the main Kyoto attractions (Arashiyama, Kiyomizu-dera, etc.) but we didn't mind too much considering the value of the hotel itself. Rooms are Japanese-style, so beds are low and pillows are a little stiffer. This did not bother us, but I can see it being more of a con for some. As with most hotels on our trip, not much space if you have multiple large checked luggages, but my friend and I only had carry-on luggage with us so this was not an issue.

Fantastic hotel that exceeded my expectations - small room but it was very comfortable for a one person who did not bring many clothes. There are coin laundry facilities that worked well and while location was a little far from Gion, the subway and bus network access made this hotel a perfect find. It was within 3 min walk from exit 4 from Gojo station and a 5-6 min walk from Gojo exit 6 (elevator access for those with luggage). The safebox in my room was not working and the staff was immediately responsive and fixed the issue rightaway. Special mention must be made for breakfast - earlier reviews pointed to bento sets but this is not the case now - the restaurant Ally's (open only for breakfast) seems to have been revamped with a really good buffet breakfast set with Japanese and Western selection. The staff were also always attentive and with ready smiles and the kitchen staff made effort to vary the breakfast selection everyday. I enjoyed my breakfast for 4 days very much - thank you.

Great hotel with a pretty lounge and beautiful rooms, a mix of traditional and modern. We loved the tatami mats! It was spacious for Japanese standards, the vanity and toilet were even separated from the bathroom in our room. Well equipped in general. Coin Laundry is fantastic because they have Wash&Dry machines as well as Dryer only. You can even take a seat on a table and read manga while you wait for the machine to finish. As for the location, it’s very close to Gojo Subway station and you only need less than 10min by foot to get to the magnificent Nishi Hongan-Ji, which is an absolute must see Temple in Kyoto!

The hotel is at a pretty good location. It was less than a 5 minute walk from Gojo station and the way to the hotel is a straight flat path. The hotel itself is quite clean and comfortable. The room we booked had a tatami floor where the beds were, and the beds were quite comfortable. The bathroom was quite big and the tub is big enough to fit in one person. If you want to have your towels and trash thrown out you have to leave the towels in the provided basket and the bin outside of the room and when you come back new towels and the empty bin will be outside the room. They apparently only clean the room itself (do your bed, vacuuming, etc...) once every three days, but i didn't stay long enough to be able to see this happen. Overall, for the price I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is close enough to the center of Kyoto to be able to travel to other areas of Kyoto comfortably.

The room is a tad bit tiny, so we had to leave our carriers near the entrance of the room. It might be difficult to put in multiple carriers in the room and open them at the same time.

The accommodation felt comfortable, but it was extremely small considering we were two people traveling. The space for suitcases is reduced, which has an impact in your stay. The room is quiet, with comfortable beds and a nice set of chairs and a table to have a drink or a meal. The TV does not have Youtube app and, as a foreigner, you feel quite limited when it comes to stream anything on the tv, or use it at all. The bathroom was alright.

When asking the staff for a plate, or cutlery, they informed they cannot provide you with any. That was a downer.
