We'd stayed in Hana-no-Sato before COVID-19 and came back again this spring. It's still an amazing accommodation for skiing if you are comfortable staying in a traditional Japanese hotel. Walking distance to the Gondola and chairlifts, close to cafes, Happo bus stop, a convenience store, rentals, etc. The hotel has got a warm and spacious ski room. The lady at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. Would absolutely come back again.

Occasionally, there was a bad smell in the bathroom, so we had to leave the fan on to get rid of it.

Hananosato is really perfect in many ways . The location is near to the the bus terminal where the overnight bus pick up point and the ski shuttle bus pick up point are . It is not a ski in ski out hotel which is what we would prefer. The hotel is also a 5 min walk to the only Lawson ( 7-11 equivalent ) where you can pick up your supplies . There are many restaurants around where you can get pretty good food but the queue is long during peak season and food prices are expensive tourist prices although it is still much cheaper than Singapore restaurant prices . But that is no fault of the hotel . The hotel has dinner served but needs to be ordered in advance and it is pretty decent . We would prefer a western bed but the price is much higher than the Japanese room . Overall the Japanese room still works well for us . The room size is pretty good and spacious . The roof top onsen is really lovely . The hotel is nice and bright . we like the Japanese bathrobe it provides .

The basement onsen is alright except that the edges are sharp and I scraped my shin twice and bled . It should be smoother to prevent serious injury incase someone falls .

The location was very close to where we decided to rent our snowboards from and the hotel is equipped with lockers to store equipment and our rental service also offered pick-up of the our equipment at the end of our trip. The facilities include a great indoor and outdoor onsen with options to do laundry in the basement. Service was prompt when we needed it and we enjoyed our stay!

Everything was as expected and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff is friendly and hospitable.

- Top location to go skiing in Happo One - The rooftop jacuzzi was nice - The lady running the front desk was very friendly

- The wifi only worked in the front desk area of the hotel - The hot spring temparature wasn't regulated - it was too hot to use

Great location, just a short walk to the Happo One gondola and local restaurants including a great food truck area. Room was very clean and the manager was lovely. We paid for breakfast one morning and it was hearty and very tasty.

Beds and pillows were a bit hard but we did get a Japanese style room.

The staff are super friendly, beds extremely comfortable, rooms are clean and good size. The rooftop onsen is amazing! View of the slopes. Very warm and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay. Fresh towels daily and lady at front desk was very helpful and kind, she even gave me chocolates for my birthday! We will come back.

Friendly staff, great location, clean facilities. Roof top hot tub was fantastic.

Futon beds were uncomfortable but this was our fault for getting a Japanese style room. Would have booked a western room if it was the same price.
