Massage chair and location for the win! I've been to 25 prefectures in Japan, and Nagasaki is most "tourable" given the abundance of transpo modes with regular times. The tram is the best way to get around for 140 YEN flat rate only! The location of Hotel Forza is downtown, 1min away a tram stop, and 5 mins from Chuo Bus Stop w/c I've used to get to Inasayama area, the beach area, and the airport. As a former tour manager for Collette (premium tours for 100+ years), I've stayed in the best; Westin Miyako, Prince Tokyo, Hotel de Yama, etc. This is not five-star, but while you won't be spoiled with those individually packed "branded" amenities (which are not always necessary/causing wastage or plastic waste), this offers a good bed, spacious room and working desk, big TV (with movie options), and a massage chair w/c you'll need after exploring the hilly Nagasaki culture spots. It's a walk away from Attic Coffee with really good coffee and meal options (a good place to do laptop work, too)! It's right smack Chinatown so there's a lot to see just as you step outside the hotel. It's also very clean and sent is not dingy as it is in some cheap hotels. The staff is also very helpful. And check-in/check-out was hassle-free.
I booked the healing package. I support the eco-friendly savings of not having unnecessary amenities in the room, but with the "healing package," it would have been extra lovely if they had those foot pads that absorb toxins, and/or aroma eye mask, and/or facial treatment mask. These are little things, but these make a difference. And they're cheap and can be bought in Daiso. With the right supplier, I'm sure they can buy in bulk cheaply. If not placed in each room, it could be offered during check-in (or told where they could be availed as complementary offers like their coffee/hot drinks).

I had made this reservation knowing only the location, and was happy that it was so central. Little did I know that the hotel was actually IN the Nagasaki Arcade Mall, which made shopping for souvenirs easy! It's also adjacent to two of the city's tram lines (Blue and Green) so when the time came to visit Chinatown, Glover Garden, and the Peace Park, all we had to do was hop on a tram. The staff were super helpful, offering us directions and advice on how to get around, and even ordering us a taxi for 5AM when our flight's departure time changed suddenly. We had very limited Japanese, but that wasn't an impediment at all.

Actually built into a shopping arcade, but quiet and comfortable. Walk to Chinatown and other sights, tram to A-bomb areas (tram is steps away). Decent breakfast with lots of Japanese and western choices (though mostly Japanese).
Would give it a higher rating, but places in our room were pretty scuffed up and in use of some deep cleaning or fresh paint. Did not affect comfort or general cleanliness, but not quite a 9 or 10. Our Forza standard is the one in Kyoto.

Conveniently placed. 7 mins by cab from Nagasaki Station and it's in a large shopping arcade so it's well placed for picking up a coffee, pastries etc. The rooms are atypical of a Japan hotel (in my tourist experience) so compact is the word.
The only slight minor point was a slightly 'foisty' bathroom....I think it was due to having to manually switch on the bathroom extractor fan and obviously guests may easily forget to do it.

During the Lantern Festival everything is very busy so they recommended we not prepay for breakfast (great tip! Thanks) The parade literally stopped in front of the hotel but you could barely hear the noise so it was great. The room bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The added leg massager was a welcome sight after a day of touring/walking. Check in/out was very easy and they held bags before and after.

1. Location — EXCELLENT. The hotel is right on top of a shopping strip. Plenty of food and shopping right at the doorstep. Tram stop is right outside the hotel entrance, so touring around the city was very convenient. 2. Noise — NONE. Being at a central, busy location, i was worried that the hotel might be loud but it was quite the opposite. The room was very quiet. They even published an apology notice that some rooms were undergoing renovations during our stay and we might hear the construction noise, but even then we did not hear anything. 3. Room amenities — 5 stars. The room we booked was a twin room (for 2). It was very spacious by Japanese standards. There was plenty of room for our 2 large luggages and 2 carry-ons (which is not usually the case in hotels in Japan). Room layout was also excellent - sitting area, fridge and coffee/tea making facilities were efficiently separated from the sleeping area. 4. Cleanliness. Room was cleaned daily; towels were changed daily as well. 5. Buffet breakfast. Sufficient western and Japanese options. Dessert options were good too. 6. Check-in / Check out. Check in was fast and easy. I arrived earlier than the prescribed check-in time, and they did not allow me to check in early, but it was fine as i did not request this in my booking. They did agree to keep our bags first while we toured the city first and returned at a later time for check-in. Staff was very friendly, and spoke english well. Check out was a breeze. The staff was very helpful in helping us book a taxicab back to the Nagasaki train station.
I was very pleased with my stay. If i had to choose something i did not like — it would be that the ventilation in the breakfast area seems to be lacking. After eating breakfast, i noticed that our clothes smelled like food afterward, which is not usually the case when we eat in other places, so maybe they could add air filters or exhaust fans in the dinning area. Other than that it was a very excellent stay. I was very pleased with our stay and will definitely stay again if i find myself in nagasaki. Will also try other Hotel Forza locations when i get the chance.

Location, location, location. It was very convenient to walk everywhere.
I stayed there for 5 nights. They offers daily eco cleaning which includes towel changes and 2 bottles of water, but nothing much more, unless I request a normal services. I hesitated to ask more and made my bed by myself, but my floor was getting dusty. I wished they offered regular cleaning services at least every other day without prompted.

Nice and clean hotel in a central area. The hotel staff was nice and helped with everything we needed. The room had a cool massage chair.
Parking was paid. The price was a bit high compared to the other hotels in Nagasaki and at the level of the hotel. But we were satisfied.

The hotel is located within the Hamanomachi shopping arcade, and within walking distance to several public transport options and tourist attractions. The room itself is quite spacious, being big enough to set up a portable guitar recording studio if necessary. The bed was also fairly comfortable, and I really appreciated having the leg massager in the room. It was also convenient having many power outlets installed throughout the room.
While the bed itself was comfortable, I can't say the same for the pillows. Mind you, this is my own personal opinion - my idea of a comfortable pillow will differ from other people's. A bit of a nitpick, but there were some minor signs of wear and tear throughout the room. That said, you'd have to look very closely.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice location close to the tram station and in the middle of the arcades. The rolled eggs at breakfast were yummy!
Because our room was furnished with a big armchair with an accompanying foot massage machine that could not be stowed away, the room became more cramped and smaller than it actually was.
