The best service from staff out of all the accomodation we stayed out during our trip! The staff went out of their way to accommodate us during our stay, we were taking early/late buses to/from skiing in Rusutsu and they even organised a small breakfast on the go for us! The included breakfasts and dinners were an experience in themselves! We thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully prepared meals, plus the outside onsen was great. Our room had great views of the lake & were extremely spacious compared to other accomodation we stayed at in Japan. Would definitely recommend!

Accomodation itself was perfect, however it is hard to find things to do at Lake Toya during winter. Skiing at Rusutsu was a great use of our time as it really only took a day to see what lake toya has to offer in winter.

Great location next to the lake. We could see the fireworks from our room. The staff were very helpful in making sure we knew exactly how everything worked. Nice onsen. Japanese-style dinner and breakfast were included and the hotel was able to prepare a vegetarian option for both meals (which we requested in advance.) Hotel is a little dated but this was not a problem and it was good value for money.

Be aware that as the ferry pier is right outside the hotel there is some noise (ferry announcements) during the daytime.

free parking, good location, good views, quiet in winter, room size for 3 adequate comfortable, tatami floor and beds, clear instructions on how to use the onsen, great service overall, onsen is perfect , there is an outdoor onsen and indoor area. the food breakfast and dinner served was great . it is not as classy as the newer hotels but it is more traditional and that is what we wanted. check in and check out was fast. there is lift facility. well maintained and warm even tho its winter and 1deg celsius

sl dated but clean, good facilities.

For the money it costs it was an authentic and very good ryokan and onsen experience. The view is amazing, as you can see the lake, and in summer, even fireworks from the room. Room is bigger than most ryokans. Onsen is clean and we liked how there were baths with different water temperatures, including external bath. The food was also great, you eat in a common area. Location-wise it is next to the boat terminal and also just behind the bus station.

Just a small note that the pillow was a bit too hard for our taste - some pillow options would be appreciated. We stayed for two nights and food was similar on both days - good food but maybe some more variation would be nice.

Great location right on the lake. Convenience stores and coffee shops nearby. Check-in was detailed and handled very well. The breakfasts were good - the dinners were great.

Very dated, with seemingly no refurb done ever. Looks just like I imagine it did in the 1970s. The sauna in the men’s onsen wasn’t working, and looked like it hadn’t in a long time. No coffee in the room.

Traditional Japanese style hotel, very clean and comfortable. Onsen area excellent with lot of amenities, creams for face, hair care…. Room very silent, warm and with nice views to Toya Lake.

We will stay 3 nights and we will love to stay a night more. Hotel personnel said not possible because hotel was full booked, but we ask internet and saw has a lot of rooms… I don’t know why they don’t accept us for a night more….

Onsen had lots of free creams to try, relatively clean, not super fanciful. Staff very helpful, polite. There was a washing machine and dryer in the ladies bath! Dated hotel but the prices were also the lowest in the region. Given that there were daily fireworks for 20mins (even after it had been raining!), it was a very welcome bonus to our stay.

Pillows were hard and only one was provided. Room was facing lift and the cruise pier, which will play music till late due to the fireworks period, so it was a little noisy.

the location is very near to the lake and it is very easy to access all amusements. the room is very neat and clean. the onsen makes everyone satisfied. It is easy to book through the website and make a payment

It will help non-japanese guests if information in English version is available. It will be helpful if the hotel can give some recommendations for guests about favorite restaurants and foods around to make the guests can enjoy the vacation at lake Toya

Perfect location, just in front of the Toya lake, the room seems been re-furnitured and very cleaned, much better than my expection.

The open air onsen is a little bit small but still OK, just beside the street (interesting) ! The temporary bus stop is just outside my window so the privacy is concerned.

A bit oldy but after the corona world war and the tourism industry crash, if the hotel is still here, it means they work well, whatever the installation. Everything is about pricing, nowadays a ryokan in Japan is to be paid by the minute, as it is so so crazy highly priced. So this one was honest pricing and telling bad things would be bad indeed.
