The staff were wonderful and helpful, we loved the free popcicles and the bread in the morning. The location was perfect, really near a lot of things and the beautiful stream in the middle of the city. Very near the main station too. The room was a good size, the bed was comfy and they even have free bath bombs! We asked for help anout restaurants and sightseeing and the staff went out of their way to help.

The hotel is very good located, 10 minutes from the train station. All the staff speak English very well and are very kind and friendly. They provide good information and city details. The decoration with otters is very fun. The room is not very big and some facilities may need a renovation, but for one person and one night it is fine. You can take a free bicycle that it's very convenient to reach the castle and the garden. Although there is no breakfast, they offer you some pastries and nikuman that are very good. The 24-hour free drink service is also very good. The wifi connection was quite good.

Didn’t expect a lot from the stay, but actually very enjoyed it! The hotel has its charm and, what is unusual for business hotels, left special memories. The hotel is not so new, but clean and taken good care off. To make the space more lively, they decorated it with hotel’s characters, and it’s real cute! There is no breakfast venue, but they offer free bread and buns in the morning, and all the additional services are also very thoughtful.

Excellent location within ten minutes walk from the JR station. Surrounded by restaurants, shops & very nice canal which is great for walking. Renovated rooms are good & comfortable, but not all rooms are renovated. Friendly, supportive & respectful staff. They provide good information. Free bikes to use. Good wifi. Free soft drinks and variety of breads for bkfst. Good value.

It’s a very cute/quaint hotel about normal size by Japanese standards. For the price I paid I figured it would be a dump but it was actually really nice. The location was good, it’s a pretty healthy walk (about 15-20 mins) to the castle however it’s relatively central to the station and restaurant/bar district. If the walk to the castle is too far for you there are cool old street cars that will get you most of the way there. The cute girl at the front desk was a native English speaker and made the checking in process easy and she also suggested things to do. The bathroom amenities were great.

The only thing I can think of that I would change is that I would’ve liked more than one pillow. I’m sure they would’ve provided me with extras if I had asked but I was only there for one night so I just dealt with it. The towels are also a bit small for someone who’s 6’2” but that’s par for the course in Japan.

Bathroom is little old and rooms are not sound proof enough. You can hear other room doors closing opening.

booked this hotel very quickly without looking much into it and found... seaotters ! the whole decor was very cute, and matching to okayama. the staff were so nice and there were many amenities, drinks and ice blocks you could have with your stay.

what is not to like about seaotters?

- Free breads in the morning, free drinks (coffee, tea, water, soda) all day long and free nikuman (steamed bun) - Other snacks are also available at super cheap prices (like 10 yen for a can of potato chips) - Bedroom was OK (typical Japanese business hotel room) with the same amenities you can expect for this hotel category - Well-located, close to restaurants, shops and to the Aeon Shopping Mall
