As the hotel was attached to the train station, Shinkansen stop, tram stop, and bus terminal, access to transportation was fantastically convenient. The hotel is classy, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, as one would expect in a high end Japanese hotel. Within a short walk is a mall with two entire floors of restaurants, and that's not counting the food court. The station is also well equipped with dining options, a grocery store, and two convenience stores. Nearby is a DonQi, an Animate/Lashingbang, and a very large BIC Camera, with other large stores within a 1km walk or short tram ride. It's easy to meet people at various landmarks in and around the hotel, including the Momotaro statue. The rooms are amazing; unusually large, if a bit dated, and ours had a beautiful view of the station and the surrounding area, with mountains in the distance. Day trips via Shinkansen to places like Himeji, Onomichi, etc., are painless.

I've never been disappointed by a stay at this hotel.

Very convenient location as it was directly connected to the JR station. Very professional and friendly staff. Our stay for the first night was in a spacious and comfortable room. Our stay two nights later was of a more modernly decorated room. I guess we were upgraded? The room size was the same but be the furnish was newer and more modern. There were restaurants and a supermarket next to the hotel. We had a very comfortable stay and would certainly return if we visit Okayama again.

Cannot think of anything we didn't like.

The location was perfect, the room very comfortable, The standard of the cleaning service and hygiene was exemplary. Continental breakfast was very nice.

At checkin I didn’t like being offered a better room at extra cost before seeing the one we had booked. We were only offered breakfast at 5000 Yen, which we thought was expensive and declined; the less expensive continental breakfast was not mentioned at all. There was no information on what one gets to eat for either type of breakfast.

Overall the plus on this one is the location, breakfast and the renewed rooms. Make sure to get the renewed rooms as they more much roomier and updated. The location was right in front of the Okayama station so it was very accessible. There are a lot of malls and stores around the area. Close to an Aeon Mall and a Donki Shop - if shopping is a must do in Okayama then this hotel is good base. The breakfast was also good. It had Western and Japanese options - from salads, cheese spreads and curries. There were a few options for juices, coffee and milk as well. The TV in the renewal room also had SMART TV where you can cast shows from your mobile device. Love the bathroom! But I hope they also offered bath salts for men. They only gave them for female guests. Net I would stay here again if given the chance to explore Okayama more!

This is very minor. We stayed here during winter so there are condesates from the windows. In fairness, there was a note that says there might be some water drips. I did not expect though that it was a lot so be very careful and don't place anything on the windows. I hope the parking was free since we booked multiple rooms already but it was not.

The location was fantastic. right next to the station and close to the local mall. Views out to the surrounding hills. Covered walkway to the station and all the shops and eateries available there, as well as easy for travel, locally and via the bullet train. (On arrival, from the train station, stay on the station level and follow signs as they say for East exit. Go through the 'mall' and pick up signs for Granvia hotel at the far end, exiting to the left). Staff were excellent and the welcome was warm. Could not fault the room, although the beds and pillows are of the very firm type found in some Japanese hotels. Coffee pod machine, found in all the Japanese hotels we stayed in, also dispensed tea in this hotel, which was a welcome bonus.

Stayed on a room only basis and breakfast was easily found in the station next door. Tried the hotel breakfast one day, which was adequate and various but nothing special. The view from the restaurant was, however, wonderful.

The single room was very comfy with a large bed. The personal is very welcoming. But what impressed me the most is how they helped me when I had to go to the ambulance one night after arrival at the hotel because of a thrombosis. They brought me all my luggage that I had left unpacked in my room because I was not expecting being hospitalised. They even reimbursed me the next night. This was such a wonderful experience and shows how much they care about their customers.

We stayed at this hotel as a quick 1 night stopover enroute to Tokyo. It's connected to the Shinkansen rail station and a food court which was tremendously convenient. The rooms were adequate, clean and functional. Location could not be beat.

Bathrooms were a bit dated. Breakfast (which was included in our particular room rate) was fair, but convenient and quick.

The location is right on Okayamas station, which is extremely convenient and its only a 2km walk to okayama castle and other main attractions.

So there were a few minor things that didn't really effect me but I can imagine it can bother people. There are 2 power outlets on the actual bed but since I use a bulky adapter, it didn't fit. So, I needed to charge my phone far from the actual bed. In addition, the fact that the hotel is so close to the railway might cause noise.. I stayed on floor 15 and didn't hear anything. Lastly, the hotel itself is old.. especially the bathroom.. so you should keep that in mind

The staff were very professional and attentive, and the French restaurant on the top floor was exceptional. The food was French flavors with Japanese ingredients, and the flambé dessert was extraordinary. The breakfast was one of the best that we had on our 3 week travels throughout Japan. The room wasn't especially remarkable, but the service, meals and location were fantastic, I would absolutely stay here again.

Great proximity for the station. Grand hotel with very attentive staff and spacious bedroom and bathroom. Good city view. Great location for walking to Korakuen gardens and hopping on the train to explore Kurashiki

Nothing really notable. Quality bathroom fittings and bedroom furniture but bathroom and bedroom perhaps a little dated. That said the bedroom was the largest we had during our Japan stay and I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It has a very grand feel about it and was good value for money.
