Pros: Affordable cost, clean capsules, close to an important subway station (Shinjuku), friendly staff, free rice/drinks, free toiletries (toothbrush, comb, haircare products, etc.). Laundry (dryer and washer) available at facility with front desk staff willing to break cash into coins for you. Overall, I had an excellent stay. The guests were considerate of one another and the capsules were quiet for the most part allowing for quality sleep (they provide free ear plugs, and headphones for a built in TV inside the capsule; they also include a USB wall fan, and a universal phone charger and adapter were all provided for free, which was an excellent touch). Appreciated having two plug points inside my capsule, and the overall cleanliness of the facility. Also really loved the free 15 minute massage chair available on the second floor. I would absolutely stay at this facility again!
Cons: Adjusting to the public nudity of onsens (especially if you are not used to locker room culture), the place could feel a little overcrowded sometimes with a high number of guests (200+), there was only one elevator in the building with wait times sometimes upto 10 mins during peak hours, the locker room and storage facilities felt a little cramped, and the bedding could have been fluffier. But these are all minor points considering the excellent value!

The amenities were top-notch. They were clean and well stocked — you didn’t have to bring your shower stuff, they also have shavers, toothbrushes and toothpaste. You just have to bring you. If you are really concerned about sleeping in a coffin and being claustrophobic. No, it’s not. I’m 1.82m and 75kg. It fits me and lots of space left. I could roll around two times, sit in the cabin and not hit my head. Unlike other plastic cabins, this is actually very doable and breathable. The comforter (blanket) is thick and clean.
The idea of sharing a place with many individuals was initially terrifying. You also had to separate yourself from your luggage and personal belongings between the sleeping quarters and storage areas. You have to bath with many guys. You probably have seen it all after this trip. Since it’s Shinjuku, you get younger crowds on the weekends. If you like that, good for you. Don’t expect much for meals. You probably end up eating nearby or the McDonald’s next door.

Can't ask for a better location in Shinjuku. You can see the hotel as soon as you leave Shinjuku station. Bath, Skin care, and Hair care supplies were incredible. I didn't need to open my toiletry bag once while I was staying there. Free drinks (including about 5 alcoholic drinks per night), coffee, soup, and breakfast curry as well. I didn't always use it, but it was great to have. Bath facilities are great. It is a sento (public bath), so you will be bathing with other men, so not the place to go if you are shy. The bath and sauna were spacious and very relaxing. Staff were excellent. Any questions I had were answered, and they even gave me complementary luggage forwarding to my next destination.
The room was a little bit hot in August. You have a fan and AC unit in your capsule, but neither was particularly strong. About half of the sleepers left their doors open over night to let more cool air in. You need to keep your luggage down on the first floor. This can make organizing your clothes and purchases difficult. A little planning goes a long way. There is an area where you can organize your luggage around, which helped me a lot.

The onsen is a huge boon for the hotel and it is very relaxing to sit in it after a day of walking around tokyo. The free drinks and free food were also really great. The fact that clean towels and gowns were in constant supply so of you needed to shower a few times a day because of the humidity, there was no extra fuss. The location is also fantastic, you are a stones throw from shinjuku station which is home to all rail services where you can go anywhere in tokyo and beyond, and you're also close to the main streets of shinjuku.
The only thing I didn't like wasn't in the hotels control, which was that unfortunately a couple of the guests in my room were making a lot of guttural noises. There was also a false fire alarm at 3am one of the nights. Again, nothing to fault the hotel by.

The price point is amazing, especially if you consider the extras you get. A giant relaxation floor with massage chairs, unlimited drinks and food, a manga library and more. And the artificial hot spring and sauna is also fantastic. The capsule is actually pretty comfy to sleep in. Location is great, super close to a main subway station, loads of restaurants and if you are queer, you are a stones throw away from the gay district.
The lockers, the luggage storage and your room are all on separate floors. So if you need to get stuff from your luggage it can get irritating. Also unlike some other capsules I stayed in, they don't clean and make your bed if you are staying for multiple days. But for the price and the benefits you can put up with the inconvenience.

The facilities were great Free bar I hear you say? Yes please...The pillows and mattress inside the capsule were also of good quality. The onsen is fun.
You have to be organised with your stuff as your luggage, your bed and the bathrooms are all on different floors.. Some people might be confronted by the lack of showers except for the communal ones at the onsen which are communal and not at all private.. This didn't bother me but I can understand some feeling self-conscious. This is just a traditional part of Japanese culture.

10/10*****It exceeded my expectations.....!!!!!!! Great location, very close to train & main bus station 3/4 min walking distance form the hostel. Very courteous & helpful staff, great hygiene maintained. Free breakfast free dinner free unlimited sodas and alcohol drinks, free massage chairs, free toiletries bath towel etc....Small capsule beds with TV and power charging socket and wires, lamps. PLEASE NOTE : It's a traditional capsule hotel more of a Japanese crowd. Common bathroom for entire hostel and you would take shower without clothes (naked) and no divider/ curtains . Overall it was a great hostel and experience .

I liked everything. Absolutely everything was provided, even alcohol in the evening. The staff were friendly and worked incredibly hard day and night. The location was great. I spent ten days there as I did some side trips, and have no complaints.
The lift was incredibly slow, but that was because of usage. At 3 o'clock in the morning it was fine. One night my capsule was very warm, so I woke up sweating. The tumble dryer wasn't great, I filled it less than half and ran it for an hour, and the clothes were still damp, but another time I put in less and everything came out dry after 40 minutes.

Practical and nice location, couple of minutes away from Shinjuku station. Pretty nice atmosphere, free food and soft drinks throughout the day plus spirits during evenings. It was clean in all areas regardless of the amount of guests. Free toiletries, room wear clothing and towels. There's and area where you can sit and relax, same used as a dining room and reading area, having manga section free to use for guests. It's worth the money for what you get.
Long wait for the elevator at times during the day because there's only one for the building. Locker room in a different floor that the public bath and the room/capsules. If you have large/medium-size luggage, there's no much space where you can open it and organise it (if you need to) so you have to do it in the reception area (not a big issue).

Very good capsule hotel with free hot spring and sauna. Amazing lounge and kitchen area. You can leave your luggage for additional charge. It was very convenient, you arrive in Tokyo spent couple days here and then go travel "hands free" around Japan. Location is very convenient from Shinjuku station you can travel easy around Tokyo metropolitan area. I didn't feel like in capsule hotel, more like co-living :)
Elevator during peak hours is slow...slow :D but you can always use the stairs
