Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku

I really like the airport coach to stop right in front of the hotel. I also grateful for the super efficient luggage transport service provided. The hotel location was excellent, it's near train station, shopping mall and easy to get food too. Hotel staff are very patient in explaining things I don't understand. Thank u very much for the great stay!

The room is a bit small and does not have nice window view.

The hotel provided a variety of amenities that you could pick up from the lobby everyday, including bath salts and even hair masks in addition to the regular amenities. The room was reasonably sized and the bed had enough space to store luggage under(which is actually pretty important in Tokyo where rooms are generally not big enough to keep large luggage lying around).

The location was not as convenient as I thought, requiring a bit of walking from Shinjuku station. The road was not the best for lugging huge suitcases on… But it was convenient enough to walk to all the malls and good restaurants around Shinjuku station.

staff were very kind! I stayed here twice, with a ten day gap between both stays, and they very kindly agreed to store my bags for me while i toured osaka, kyoto and hakone. saved me having to lug my stuff to a locker in the station. rooms are small but nicely outfitted and clean. amazing location right in the heart of shinjuku. convenient with the airport bus picking up/dropping off right at the doorstep.

small nit, but the laundry driers don't work too well, so just prepare to have to buy more time to properly dry your clothes.

Great location! Very modern hotel and rooms were comfortable. Good size rooms. Choice of house keeping services. Amenities were generous. Airport bus limousine service is at the door step so no need to drag luggage too far to catch the bus if one needs to catch the bus after 10am.

Nothing not to like.

The location was good it is about 5 minutes away from shinjuku station south exit. The limousine bus to and from the airport is just infront of the hotel but the time table is very limited. If you arrive late the limousine does not stop infront of the hotel. Check the limousine time before booking. You can burrow an umbrella if it rains from the hotel which was convenient. The room was comfortable. The pillows are excellent. The rooms are clean with kettle, and refrigerator. There is no safe in the room which is the only drawback. The TV does not have much channels. There was a coin laundry in the hotel which was fantastic. There is also a microwave in the hotel.

Great location! Next to Shinjuku train station. Right in front of the hotel, it has a mart to pick up knick-knacks and a vegan plant based restaurant & bar. Bathroom, towels & bed sheets were clean & satisfactory. Size of room is small since it is Tokyo. Smoking room is in the 1st floor within the building accessible from the lobby.

Breakfast was limited spread and the timings were not long. Wish there was more human interaction. Check-in & check out was thru kiosk.

Amazing location that's close to Shinjuku station with cafes, restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with check-in, check-out, luggage transport arrangements. There's also live monitoring of the laundry washers/dryers available.

WiFi could be a little iffy at times, not a major concern. While hotel location is great, first timers may get lost if coming by train considering the number of exits that Shinjuku station has.

Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku is located in a very convenient location. It is just 3-5 minutes walk away from Shinjuku long distance bus station and train station. Plenty of transport connection to Haneda, Narita and other parts of Japan. There are also a lot of good restaurant and food outlets available here. The airport limosine bus stops at this hotel as well (certain allocated time) which is convenient if you are catching the limosine buses from the airports.

The breakfast spread is quite limited. There isn't much choices from the breakfast spread. Perhaps it was during Covid period and the occupancy might not be so high and so the spread is also limited due to this.

We were very happy with our stay. The staff were friendly and very patient with our enquiries. Based on reviews I had read, I'm glad that I had booked two rooms, as we were three adults travelling and three in one room would have been way too cramped. The buffet breakfast was amazing, with a variety of western-style cooked and continental breakfast options, as well as your Japanese style meal options. I am so glad we had included the breakfast options with our booking, as it was a great way to start off each day. The location was fantastic, near the main Shinjuku Station, lots of department stores, and a variety of eating places to choose from. The Family Mart (similar to a 7-11) was conveniently close and great for snacks, microwaveable meals (which they can heat up in the store) and any other last-minute items. I cannot compare my stay with other hotels at this point, as this is the first hotel stay in Japan for us. However, based on my experience there, I would definitely come back again.

Our room was spotless! Room was basic but had everything we needed. Good blackout curtains and we never heard noise from any other rooms. Bed was comfortable. There's a convenience store right across the road. Staff was really helpful with calling a taxi and forwarding luggage.

The combo washer/dryers available could not get our clothes anywhere near dry even with muliple spins. Definitely need to plan to use them 24 to 48 hrs prior to checkout so you don't have to pack wet clothes. We had the breakfast one day and do not recommend it. There was no flow laid out and it felt disorganized with people jumping in and out of the way at the buffets. Also, the covid rules made it hard to relax. Staff seemed pretty overwhelmed trying to manage everyone in conjuction with the rules.
