check in was fast! hotel is located near shopping malls and amenities

centrally located opposite Shinjuku station. easy and safe arrangements to leave our 6 pieces of luggages whilst we travelled out of Tokyo for several days. also left a snowboard for collection by another party was also efficient. I like that as part of the SDG, the hotel implemented a water dispenser on every floor and a stainless steel jug for each room to get unlimited hot/cold water.

When I made the booking, I think there weren't that many rooms left, given that it was sakura season. This hotel is hugely popular with foreigners. So I managed to book a room that was not what I had in mind but was still extremely comfortable. From the window of our 34th floor room, the skyscrapers and Shinjuku station were visible and if one plastered one's face to the window, so was Mt Fuji. Room was clean as usual and despite this being a not so new hotel, the management has maintained it well beyond expectations. One bonus: since the government opened new flight paths into Haneda Airport, aeroplanes now fly over the area and they were visible from our room because of the facing. Plenty many. Great for aeroplane lovers and they aren't all that noisy despite flying quite low. Location is excellent. It is right by the Shinjuku Station and a stone's throw from the Shinjuku Bus Terminal. It is also above the Shinjuku Station on the Oedo Subway Line and it is convenient for people who might want to visit Roppongi and the Tsukiji Outer Market. Opposite the hotel is also Takashimaya Times Square and the Fukutoshin Subway Line below the building (Shinjuku 3-chome Station) goes all the way to the Chinatown in Yokohama (the lines will change along the way, but you don't need to get out of the train), stopping at many nice places like Shibuya, Daikanyama, Naka-meguro, Jiyugaoka, etc. So I guess its location in Shinjuku is really quite hard to beat. And it is located away from the hustle and bustle of Kabukicho so it is a quieter at night.

The Alexa unit in the room. We never figured out if the screen could be dimmed or switched off at night. Maybe it is possible or there is a nigh mode but we never bothered finding out. So we flipped it face down. But that was really a small issue. After all, the Alexa unit is a nice touch by the hotel.

Excellent location; beautiful views. Although I've been to Tokyo several times, this is the first time there was vacancy at this hotel for the nights I required. Worth the wait!

I've stayed at 5 different hotels over the past 5 years in 5 trips to Tokyo. This was by far the best hotel I've stayed at. It is comfortable, luxurious, the room was spacious, and the staff were accommodating and professional. The breakfast was generous and delicious and the views were amazing. I loved being right on the Southern Terrace.

The first room I was in had the a faint but distinctive smell of sewage in the bathroom. They moved me to new room the next day (the smell didn't dissipate), but I also smelled it in the new room, though fainter, a couple of days into my stay. There may be an issue with the drains that needs to be addressed.

The hotel location is excellent, connected with Shinjuku station and Takashimaya via Skywalk. We got the room on the 32nd floor, and the view from our room is superb, we enjoyed it a lot. The room was clean and had a good space for 2 big luggage. Light control was easy, and the bathroom was accommodated with good amenities. We like the minor details like the anti-fog mirror in the bathroom. What we like the most is the self-service ice-maker and drinking water dispenser room next to the elevator on each floor.

The room was equipped with an Alexa device as an automated personal concierge, however, it will always answer in Japanese LOL. I finally managed to configure the language of the device to be English, but that was only for the display, not the voice. We just gave up using it at last. Would be nice if we could interact with it in English as suggested by the instructions sheet in the room.

it was super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. the rooms were good size and the shower was great! really good water pressure and plenty of hot water.

we didn’t love the location. it’s super close to Shinjuku station which is nice but felt far from shops and restaurants.

Location cannot be beat! So much is within a 5min walk. The station and metro a stone throw away. Right out the door is Starbucks, Tim ho wan, egg slug and Luke’s lobster and shake shack. 10 min walk to the fabulous gyoen garden. Easy transport connections to any ware via metro and JR Yamamoto Line. Very key for exploring a city like Tokyo. Tons of bars and restaurants within few mins walk. 2 major department stores both with basement food halls and tons of restaurants within them. Cannot be better located. City Views from room were wonderful.

Our included Breakfast was just “ok”by hotel buffet standards. But has all you need for a morning start. No robes in room but had pajamas! No bar to have a drink in after evening done.
