Location was great! We picked Shingawa on a whim and this hotel was smack bang in the middle of a popular precinct for locals, with heaps of food, shops and train station nearby. We also found there wasn't a whole lot of tourists there which was perfect! Away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to everything and short train trips into major attractions.

Unfortunately the hotel didn't have huge bins for rubbish (as most places in Japan) so we kept filling our room bins to the brim each day, our poor room cleaner! That and the pillows (also typical for Japan) were quite flat compared to what we are used to at home however the front desk kindly gave us more to use upon request. These minor items were the only issues during the stay.

The location was excellent. It was very close to the train station and all the main attractions in Tokyo were a short train ride away. There was also plenty of little shops within walking distance to visit. I also liked the room. While it was small, it had a clean, modern, luxurious feel with lots of little extras included. I would live for this concept to be imported into downtown locations in the United States.

The only thing I didn't like was how firm the bed mattress was and that I couldn't stream from my phone to the TV in a consistent way. The streaming would work for a bit and then quit.

Once we got over the sticker shock of booking a hotel in Tokyo last minute, we settled on this place largely because of price. The room was small but will appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is on a main shopping street that doesn't specifically cater to tourists. I can't say that it's centrally located, but that's honestly what we enjoyed about it the most. The TV defaults to an info channel that, if you let it loop long enough, gives a handful of useful tips for tourists. Some of these were quite helpful and I appreciated learning how to specifically expresses appreciation for the food we were served during our trip.

This has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but a couple of things worth knowing: - There are no local coffee shops that open at a decent hour in the morning, definitely nothing before 8 or 9 in the morning. - On a shopping street full of restaurants, the great majority close before 8 severely limiting our options for food.

So, this hotel is "green" thinking, which I personally like. The room cleaning is scheduled every third day starting from your first night with amenities being delivered every day. The room, although small, was still quite well laid out, and had everything one would need in the room. There is no dedicated breakfast place, but you can get bento style breakfast, if you want to, but given the location, there are quite a bit of cafes and dinning places. The view from the hotel room was also great given that this is one of the tallest building in the direct vicinity.

Although the street the hotel is on is quite interesting, getting to the hotel from the city centre can be a bit of a chore given that you need to hop around multiple trains. That is not a big deal once you get to grips with the routes, but is something to keep note of.

Great location, nearby train stations never super busy even in rush hour. Many options for restaurants if you want to avoid the busy places.

Beds and pillows are not as comfortable as one would wish. Rooms are perfect for 1 person but I would see how it would be uncomfortable for 2. Staff are super friendly but their English is bad to non existent. Also even though room was clean, mi fridge had an ugly coffee(?) stain since the day I arrived that nobody cared to wipe out while I was there.

Very close to togoshi station! It’s along the togoshi ginza shopping street and there’s plenty of food and convenience stores nearby so you won’t have trouble if you’re feeling hungry. Daiso is also a short walk away if you need any essentials. The room I stayed in was small but comfortable and the bed was soft. New towels, PJs and room supplies were given every morning which was nice. Staff were friendly and happy to help.

There’s no coin laundry in the hotel however I was able to find one that was about a 3min walk away. :)

position is strategic both for turism and for business in Tokyo. Very clean. There is a traditional onsen nearby, very cheap and open until late.

Breakfast is a bit limited and the laundry service is very inconvenient !! There is a laundry in front of the hotel, but the opening hours are unsuitable to someone being there for business (open at 9, close at 7pm). Despite of asking many times, the hotel staff REFUSED to drop and collect my clothes !!! Even if it was right in front of the door !!

The location is wonderful, Togoshi is quiet and cute, loads of shops and restaurants, close to Asakusa line, Such a beautiful area. The room was tiny but that was enough for me, it had all the charging outlets, a massive tv, abundance of toiletries and hands down the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Nice and clean :)

It would be nice to have a closet but honestly, thats minor. There was enough space under the bed to place my suitcase there and for a few days that's absolutely fine and enough.

This is an excellent location if you want to be slightly away from the most crowded parts of Tokyo for your stay. The hotel is in a neighbourhood where people live and work, so it has a relatively low-key, authentic feel. The hotel itself is straightforward and probably what you'd expect: clean, functional, very pleasant. The staff were lovely and very patient with us, given that we don't speak Japanese. They helped us to transfer our luggage to our next hotel, which all went very smoothly.

It's just worth noting that the hotel doesn't have laundry facilities (we were a bit confused by the carrier bags marked 'laundry' that were provided in the bathroom). The area is also noisier at night than I perhaps expected, with quite a lot of drunken revelry going on outside! We were struggling to get our air-conditioning to operate for more than a few hours at a time so ended up sleeping with the windows open - otherwise I don't think the noise would have disturbed us.

Great location. The Ginza Togoshi street is great for local shopping. The nearby Palm shopping arcade is also great. beats a mall full of chain stores any day. Getting a few stops stop away from a major station on a minor train line is well worth the minimal effort. I also highly rate APA Hotels. Having stayed in a few I realized that, in common with many Japanese hotel chains, they use the same room layout and specific fittings and furniture across many properties. Though the room size and other faculties etc vary with location and price it is nice to know exactly what you are getting, reach out in the dark and the same switches control the same lights etc. Makes for an easy stay and you could not ask staff to be more helpful and professional whatever you need.

Nothing. The only thing that would have made my stay better would have been greater accommodation budget! Maybe that would have meant a bigger room but there was nothing more the hotel could have done!
