Superb location, with three subway lines 5' walk from the hostel (including the one connecting both airports) and another handful 10-15' away. Quite a few eateries nearby, including local and international food. A few supermarkets very near too. The hostel itself features a gourmet coffee shop and a cocktail bar, and both get their fair share of customers from morning till late in the evening, but the place never gets too noisy. Staff is plentiful and friendly, dorm rooms are quiet, and beds spacious and comfy. Never had to wait to use the bathroom or shower rooms.

Can't think of anything.

Truly excellent hostel in a great location in Tokyo. Only a few minutes walk to 3 different metro stations which can get you anywhere you want in Tokyo. We are a couple in our early 30s and were hesitant about booking a hostel but the private room was excellent, very comfy bed and the bathrooms and showers were always spotless and extremely well-serviced. The hostel is really well designed and all the amenities and fittings and features of the room were of a really high quality and excellent for this price point. We would definitely come here again and would recommend it to others. The staff were all super lovely and helpful, the shared kitchen and laundry has everything you need and the cafe and bar downstairs are great little spots for some down time. Very good vibes and very good coffee.

Four train/subway lines 5' walk from the hostel, hence SUPER convenient to reach sights etc in in all areas of Tokyo, as well as direct connection to both airports. Quite a few choices of both local and international cuisine from breakfast to dinner and beyond, as well as supermarkets and CVS alike. The hostel itself is tucked in a quiet street, and is very welcoming and comfy. It caters to passbyers too, hence the coffee shop and underground cocktail bar get very lively, especially the latter on Fri/Sat as a DJ comes to play live music. Mon through Thu there is also a different food truck everyday parked just outside the main entrance. The kitchen and common area for guests are small but well organized, and seldom get too busy. I had nice breakfasts there every day. The rooms are Spartan but convenient, with large beds and comfy mattresses as well as lockers. Shower rooms are nice and plentiful with special amenities from the neighborhood.

Great hostel in a central location close to public transport options. Cafe and bar gave it everything you needed and a really cool vibe. Rooms and facilities were clean and comfortable, and at an extremely high standard compared to what we expected for a hotel.

A few more showers in comparison to guest/ rooms. There were only 2 sets of women's showers and most days you had a decent wait to get in

Breakfast that can be ordered comes with a free drink and soup. Although the soup remained the same all of the meals were very good and had great cost performance. Location was perfect, walking distance from places like Akihabara as well as in the middle of 3 different lines.

Sometimes male caucasian travellers will walk around the dorm levels topless in winter.

Good location, close to station or a moderate walk to popular areas. Great showers, free shower gel/shampoo/hairdryer. Rentable towel for a few hundred yen or bring your own. Bed comfortable enough, plus curtain for privacy and free ear plugs. Good bar and music downstairs, DJ night on Saturdays (and maybe Fridays?), good for socialising!

DJ night is just about audible on the second floor, but with the free earplugs it’s fine, plus it doesn’t go too late. If you’re very very sensitive to noise perhaps you could ask for a higher floor when checking in if you’re staying on a Saturday! Otherwise it’s quiet and the beds don’t squeak!

For a hostel, the facilities were great - some of the nicest, cleanest and well-stocked bathrooms I've ever seen. I booked the private room and was pleasantly surprised to find all amenities like toothpaste/toothbrush, towels and washing detergent included, they even had hair curlers and straighteners on loan. The staff were also very friendly and helpful! The cafe and bar downstairs also served great coffee and cocktails. Aside from that, there are roaming food trucks that show up at the front door which I didn't try.

Maybe the only mishap I had was with the washing detergent pod when doing laundry - it burst onto my coat when I struggled to open it. Also, I booked without free breakfast, so the cost of breakfast can add up (but food was good!).

We stayed in an 8 bed room in a comfortable bunk with some curtains for privacy. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and even provided ear plugs for free which were very useful and greatly appreciated. They even held our luggage in a room for us after checkout so we could see the city a bit more before our flight. The bathrooms were also cleaned regularly and there were comfortably sized shower booths with a small space for changing as well. There was plenty of hot water and we were allowed to control the temperature of our own room and since we were there in the winter it made our stay much more comfortable and homey. Also the location is incredibly well connected for everything we went to do.

There is a cafe with breakfast that was a little more expensive than options in the area but the food was pretty high quality and the dining area was nice and comfortable so we still ate there a few days.

Location is right next to the Asakusa (red) and Yamanote (green) lines, which can take you directly to the airport and the touristy parts of Tokyo. No need to lug a suitcase through the city on your way to and away from the hotel. I was in a mixed 8-bed dorm for one week. I have been traveling for about a month, and out of the six hostels I’ve stayed in, these beds were the most comfortable. Mattresses are big and soft, and there are privacy curtains on all four sides of the bed. Slippers are available for free, as well as lockers with a combination lock. Bathrooms are clean, and the showers were incredible, practically hotel quality. Each shower stall had an undressing area and a showering area divided by a sliding door. Water pressure and temperatures were great, and the showers were always stocked with free soap and shampoo. I’m probably going to miss the showers most of all. The hostel has a communal area, a downstairs bar & restaurant, a very small kitchen area, and a cafe. Highly recommend the specialty coffees, they were amazing. I never ate downstairs so I can’t say anything about the restaurant. However, there are several convenience stores right around the corner where you can buy a meal for a really cheap price (Lawson, 7/11, Family Mart). Luggage storage is available. Staff are welcoming and helpful.

Breakfast is a little pricey for what it is, sandwiches with spread and toppings of your choice (egg, shiitake, banana, beet…etc.). However, if you buy breakfast ahead of time, you are given a small envelope of meal vouchers that you can use each morning, and so you do not have to buy menu items individually. I was allowed to order any kind of coffee with two menu items of my choice. There are only two washing machines and dryers for the whole hostel. Don’t get your hopes up about doing laundry here. However, there is a coin-operated laundromat nearby, and you don’t have to walk very far.

The breakfast was amazing, I loved that you had an option to book a room with a breakfast option and I loved that you got a fantastic coffee each morning, lovely homemade granola and yoghurt along with a toast item (with an egg/ham/other toppings) which set you up perfectly for the day. The staff were brilliant. The property was super clean and beds really comfy! It was nice having access to a kitchen as well.

The only very small point was that I wished there were some more comfortable sofas/chairs in the common area but I understand it was quite a small area and so there isn’t much space to do this. Otherwise I absolutely loved Citan
