1) Great public bath/onsen. Although only two large hot springs, they were spacious. One was semi-outdoors. Both opened overnight. Very comfortable and did not feel crowded even with >10 people in the area. 2) Free ramen supper 9;30pm-11pm. Good quality noodles. Staff very welcoming. 3) Free probiotic drinks in the morning and free ice cream/ice-blocks at night. Both quality stuff. They never ran out during supply time period. 4) Room (twin) was spacious. The double rooms were smaller though. 5) Nice bathroom. 6) Convenient store within 30 seconds walking distance. 7) Hotel was clean. 8) Staff able to communicate with English. 9) Free supply of toothbrush/toothpaste/razor/comb (different types)/cotton buds. 10) I left our luggage at the hotel prior to check in; as well as when we changed room (checked out and checked in again later that day). In both occasions staff already placed our suitcases in the room. Outstanding service. 11) Washing machine (5-6) available free of charge; drying machine 100yen for 20mins (enough to dry most clothes within one round) - need to get a key from reception.

Not much, good quality for price (when we booked). If I have to be picky: 1) The pillows were a bit too soft. 2) The walk to JR (East exit)/Metro (exit 35) station wasn't that close - but acceptable, within ~10mins once you know the location.

Location was convenient. The area had many restaurants, Sunshine Mall and transport. Extremely clean. Great shower. Check in staff were very helpful when we arrived too early.

Pillows were very flat and hard. Another guest was annoyed with me in the onsen because I made a minor error in the process. It was my first experience with this. I left and did not come back.

I love its public bath. The hotel has outside onsen and a hot sauna as well. Price is very good. Room size is good. It is quiet. Even though my room is close to the elevator, it is still very quiet. Forgot to mention there is a comic place near the laundry. I found this is the best one among the 4 hotels I stayed during my trip.

The staff is truly amazing, making themselves available, attending to our requests, being kind at every opportunity. There are tons of amenities, a lactose drink in the morning, ramen at night, and after Onsen ice cream. You can always have some green tea, which is like fuel to us. Loved the Onsen, which has a lot of space and equipment, for hot and cold baths, sauna, and washing spaces. The laundry room is great, being completely self service. the hotel offers washing including detergent, and drying is on us. They also provide keys for the machines for free at the front desk, for additional security. There's a huge collection of manga to choose from to read while waiting for the clothes to be ready.

It was sometimes challenging to understand information that wasn't translated to English, as our Japanese is yet limited, but everything has great illustrations, staff was helpful, and Google translate was there for us too.

The location is convenient. It's close to all the shops but slightly away from the crowds so it's nice and quiet as well. Love the onsen on 15th floor (don't forget your pin), and the manga room with the laundry next to it. There's microwave on the same floor as well so it's super handy.

Everything was good but if I have to point out one thing it would be the size of the room. I visit Japan almost every year so I already know that hotel rooms in Tokyo are tiny in general. It's not super spacious so don't expect to fully open 2 suitcases at once.

The hotel is located in a great area for those who love shopping and geek culture, as it is only a block away from Sunshine City, with amazing facilities. I've booked this hotel specifically for it's onsens and it did not disappoint. Also, there were plenty of free snacks such ice-cream after your bath , yakult in the morning and even a late night ramen if you're feeling peckish, included with the price of your stay. I'll definitely be back here for my next trip!

There aren't that many negatives that I can think of other than wishing that the hotel would be slightly closer to the station, since it's not something that could be changed. However, I did wish that the dining room was open for the whole day, since we sometimes pop back into the hotel during the day and don't want to just sit around in our hotel room. However, if you plan to go out and explore Tokyo the whole day, then the dining room opening hours aren't that useful.

The room size is considered large by Japanese Hotel Standard. The hotel offers Hot Spring to all customers who stay there and it is so clean and very nice. It is safe to access to the hot spring room. The area is quite a long walking distance from busy Ikebukoro area. Therefore, hotel location is quiet and peace. It is good to trade off the room size & hotel facilities with the distance from Ikebukoro station.

Bed is hard and pillow is small & hard. Staff is vary. If you're lucky, you'll meet staff with service mind and good English. On an ok day, you'll meet staff with good service mind but not so good English communication. On a bad day, you may face staff with poor service mind and bad English. I met them all. Good experience !

As usual for all dormy chain, room is clean, with all amenities that I need. Nice onsen, free night ramen, ice-cream, etc. Staff is very helpful and polite. I stay at in most of my trips to Japan. Location is right in the city center, from Ikebukuro station, you will walk through the amine street to the hotel. There are many shops on the way. Gu, Uniqlo, MatsuKiyo, Donqi, etc.

Maybe for location in city center is traded off for smaller room. I am very familiar with small hotel rooms in Japan, however this 16m2 is my minimum. A bit tight when I arrange stuffs in 2 large luggage, but still manageable for me. But for some other people, if this is your concern then be aware. Even with that, I still would stay here. Keep the Onsen well-serviced, or maybe make it a bit bigger to handle higher usage on weekends would be nice.

The rooms are definitely good for a short stay. Bath house on the top level was so relaxing with an option of three baths and a sauna that are open all throughout the night, good for a midnight bath. After you’ve taken a bath there is free unlimited icecream and a vending machine full of bottles of milk which is a popular drink after a dip in the bath. There is also a manga room with a variety of series to choose from and a stereo playing anime soundtrack’s.

The rooms are definitely on the smaller side. It was a tight squeeze having two medium sized suitcases in the room. And heads up, they do charge a 300 yen bath tax at the front desk when you check in. Caught me a bit off guard because I thought I paid for everything when I booked the hotel.

8min walk from the main train station. Not too far yet not too close. Places near train station is pretty noisy and dirty to be honest, so i'm very much happy with the hotel location. There is a 24hr supermarket just across the road and the hotel is surrounded by family mart and 7-11. PERFECT. btw I took limo bus from NRT to the hotel. It's merely a 75 min ride. Don't bother to ride on train as there's no direct route to Ikebukuro. Get off the limo bus at Prince Hotel then 3min walk to the hotel. I took the limo bus at the same bus stop back to NRT. Super convenient.

I'm happy with everything about the hotel, except no shower room in single rooms. You need to take shower in the common shower room on onsen floor.
