Lovely Japanese breakfast, I looked forward to it every morning. Loved the onsen facilities, clean and functional. Grateful for the laundry facilities - there are 12 machines, 4 of which are in the ladies onsen. The free ice cream and ramen and probiotic drink was a super nice touch. Vending machines and microwaves and ice machines are available. Clean rooms with separate toilet and shower facilities. Kasuga Station is just right outside the hotel, 3 steps away - accessible by the lift at exit A7 from inside Kasuga Station. It is also connected to the Korakuen Station. Lawson right outside the hotel, 7-11 around the corner, McDonald's on the same row, a supermarket Maruetsu across the road. So convenient. I'm a Dormy Inn convert.

Nothing at all.

Stayed for four nights. I was the only Western foreigner as far as I know. I enjoyed observing the other guests and their customs. The hotel is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood, and it's a nice easy walk to Tokyo University, Honge campus. Lots of local restaurants around. Breakfast is great, with a variety of both Japanese and Western cuisine. I found the Western section especially pleasing since, after 2 weeks of travel, I missed the food I am used to, and I was happy to find simple things such as salad, yogurt, omelets, and bread every morning. They even have cakes for dessert(!!). But don't worry - if you're into Japanese cuisine, there is plenty of that as well. There is also fresh carrot juice and lots of green tea. Onsen is the best I've seen in Tokyo. Before this hotel, I stayed in two other ones - a five-star hotel and a four-star hotel. So it was surprising that the best onsen is in this hotel. There is free ice cream during onsen hours and free Ramen before bedtime. It's a really nice touch. There is also a comic room (which is a room full of comic books). And - I counted 12 washing machines. Four of them are in the ladies' onsen, so you can do your laundry while bathing. There were always plenty of vacant washing machines and driers. At night and breakfast time, everyone goes around in the hotel pajamas. It's funny. Like a pajama party. The room was of good size, comfortable bed. It took me a day to realize I needed to close the sliding door so that the automatic light in the hall would not get lit every time I moved. Will defiantly stay here next time I visit Tokyo University.

In a very un-Japanese way, a used tissue paper was under my bed when I arrived. It was there for 2 days before the cleaning service finally took it. One morning, a human hair (long and black) was in the tomato bowl at breakfast. The AC is quite noisy (but can be turned off). All of the AC buttons and all of the toilet seat buttons were in Japanese with no English translation. It meant I could only turn on/off but couldn't do anything else (I could adjust the room temperature, but that's it). Still, these are minor inconveniences.

They are the most thoughtful hotel I have been to. They had free Ramen at night, free ice cream in the evening, free Yakult in the mornings. They had many washing machines so there was no wait at all to wash clothes and it didn’t require any money (except to dry clothes). I recommend you dry clothes for 1h instead of 30min. The room was also exceptionally big for Tokyo and comfortable. It even included an onsen which had soothing music! Hotel service staff is also polite and helpful. Cafe Veloce opposite the hotel is also excellent and cheap. There is even a convenience store and bookstore under the hotel. There is also a supermarket across the road. I will always come back to this hotel!

The floor was a little dirty, but it’s nothing compared to all the pluses of the hotel.

I came back here to stay after a week in other prefectures. I really appreciated that the hotel was able to hold some of my baggage while I was away so that I wouldn't have to bring everything along. As always I appreciate all the complementary things like laundry and dessert in the fridge. The single room type is pretty big too. I had a lot of baggage but there was more than enough space to lay everything out.

Wi-fi was awfully slow to the point of disconnecting entirely sometimes. I had to use my own 4G data even while in the hotel. I didn't like the layout of the single rooms as much as the double rooms. I needed the desk to be beside the sink since the sink area is too tiny to put everything I needed. The hallway auto-light was too far from the full-length mirror next to the door so that mirror was not very useful because it was too dark. Also, my room on the 3rd floor looked out to a maintenance rooftop. Call me paranoid but I did not dare to open my curtains due to the fact that someone could be just outside the window.

The amenities and location! The public bath was so nice and at par with other public baths I’ve been to that charge upwards of 500 yen (although of course this one is smaller). It had 2 baths, a sauna and complete toiletries, it was extremely clean and comfortable! There’s free Yakult-type drink in the morning, free ice cream in the evening, free massage chair, and free ramen (that unfortunately we didnt get to try because we always came back so late. Next time!). There is a manga room and while everything was in Japanese so we couldn’t really read them, it was also fun to just relax on the reclining chairs and look at the pictures. Washer was free and dryer was 100 yen for 30mins. There was daily refresh of towels (unless you ask them not to), bottled water, green tea. The location was also very convenient- right in front of the A7 exit of Kasuga station which has an elevator. From this station you can get in the Mita line or walk a bit to go to the Oedo line, which means you’re basically connected to anywhere. Front desk area had multiple ATMs, an automated money changer and a coffee machine. There were microwaves too. There’s also a big Lawson downstairs which covers you on anything else you might need. It’s also walking distance to Tokyo Dome so even on the day of our flight, we had time to go on the ferris wheel and the haunted house at Tokyo Dome City. We really couldn’t ask for more.

The room we booked was very small. It was ok for us because we’re small people and we only stayed a week, but bigger people might find it hard to navigate the room… the open space is literally the size of one open luggage. They do have bigger rooms at a higher price point so that’s an option for peope who need a bigger space.

Great variety of complimentary facilities as usual. I always choose Dormy Inn as my first choice due to the free ramen supper, the baths and free ice cream, and the free usage of laundry machine. This particular branch also had a bigger "rest" room than the others, with a big library of popular manga for you to read. The location was great as the entrance was just like 5-10 metres from the train station elevator exit. Although that exit itself is not the closest to all of the lines at Kasuga/Korakuen stations (in particular the Marunouchi line being pretty far), it still means you are mostly covered from outside weather, and it's easy to move around with your luggage. Staff at the front desk was also always helpful with all of my requests!

As with the other Dormy Inns I have stayed, I still feel that they should provide a table mirror for doing make up. The sink area is small and it gets easily cluttered with both toiletries and makeup being there. Also housekeeping was a bit confusing at this branch. 1) One night I returned to my room to find the room slippers had disappeared so I had to ask the front desk for another set. 2) Another night I returned to my room with the bin liner left inside the bin instead of being lined. 3) I randomly had the hotel pajamas size changed for me for only 1 night, although this doesn't bother me. 4) The complimentary dessert in my room was missing the spoon.

Good location, there’s a subway exit with elevator just outside the hotel, and a convenience store at first floor. The room is big and comfortable, the bathroom is wide. It has a public spa with free drinks and snacks, after 22:00 free soba noodles are also provided.

I was in a concert in Tokyo Dome so I asked the staff beforehand if it was ok to let my mother check in instead of me, the lady at front desk agreed, but when my mother came to check in at 3pm, they declined to do so, and I wasn’t able to leave since I had already entered into Tokyo Dome. There was obviously no work handover between employees, also the clerks didn’t even understand English. Fortunately it was all solved in the end.

God is the onsen just the best thing in the world and being able to get hot soba and ice cream and then a highball or beer and chill in the manga room is just the best thing in the world.

the room itself was a lot smaller than it looked in the photos, there were 3 of us with large luggage each and there was actually no space for all of our luggage when we had to go through our stuff at the same time. we had one luggage in the hall, one on the floor, and one on the table and no space for anything else

After two weeks traveling through Japan all the way down to Hiroshima and up to Tokyo again this was exactly what I needed. I haven't been to the mountains so I haven't experienced the "real deal" of a Ryokan/onsen stay but I been to a lot of western Spa's and this is by far one of the better one's. I would recommend to stay at least two nights so you can walk to Korakuen Garden by the Dome City and meditate/sit in the sun/walk throught the graden during the day, eat at a Café (there is a lot of them everywhere) and then take a relaxed spa in the evening, can get more Zen than that. I went twice to the Spa and then I enjoyed some manga reading after the breakfast. So overall.. The spa together with the garden visit was fantastic, the breakfast was really good but I think some guests hyped it up for me so I was expecting to much from it, my fault. So overall, the room was great, location spot on and with walking distance to a really beautiful graden.

It was a little expensive, the breakfast is a little to hyped and the queen bed size could be a problem, other than that is really good and I would recommend it.

I like the hot spring and sauna. Very comfortable after a long walk everyday and I was definitely able to recharge myself. My father and I also liked the free ramen and the ice-cream after hot spring. Very thoughtful design. Free massage chair and the mangas. It was quiet and safe at night. Close to Dorakuen and Kasuga station and can get you to tourist attraction easily. We also did a day tour to Kawagoe and the commute is surprisingly easy from our hotel.

The room is a bit small but well we didn't pay a lot. The automatic lighting system in the entrance is slightly annoying. The light will flicker whenever ppl walked past. We tried to borrow a scissors for cutting clothes, but was not allowed to use in room.
