The location was exactly what we were looking for - right by a train station with two main lines running through it so we could get almost anywhere in central Tokyo easily. The neighborhood is downtown but not touristy - most people we saw on the streets were locals and there are tons of small restaurants within blocks of the hotel. If you're willing to walk, it's a 15 minutes walk to Akihabara, 30 minutes to Asakusa (Senso-ji Temple area) or to Ueno. Staff was very helpful, many of them spoke English, and they assisted us with how to do laundry in the hotel and also shipped our suitcases for us to our next hotel when we checked out. We chose this hotel both for the location and because we wanted a less expensive base in Tokyo from which to explore. It exactly met that description. We stayed in one of the Japanese-style rooms (on the top floor) and even had a view of the SkyTree from our (small) window.

The room was a bit small, but we expected that because it's Tokyo and that's how it is unless you pay a small fortune. If you're looking for a luxury hotel, this isn't it, but if you're looking for a modest hotel with a friendly staff and a great location, this is a great choice.

I love this hotel! Firstly, it was because the staff was very friendly. The location is very strategic, 1 min walk to Asakusabashi Station and have convenient store just next to it. The facilities work perfectly. I can view Tokyo SkyTree from our room.

The size of the room. It's quite crowded for us 2 adults and a baby, plus 2 luggage and a stroller. Don't have enough space to put the iron board on the table. I need to do the ironing on my bed.

Clean room and bathroom Excellent sleep- I slept so well Very close to the train station Quiet area Attached to a combini- hotel has microwave to heat up food as well. Free washing machine and dryer (100 yen for detergent) I felt safe to walk back from the station at night

If you plan on doing activities in shibuya , this may not be the best place to stay as it takes about 30 minutes to get there. However if you plan on seeing sights in Asakusa, Akihabara and central Tokyo area this spot is excellent. You can use the JR pass to get from the station to Tokyo and Akihabara. You need suica card to get to Asakusa.

Great location, nice and clean and a 7-11 downstairs.

Rooms are a little bit small, with bed tight into a corner, so difficult for the person sleeping wall side to get out.

The staffs were very friendly. I met Japanese staffs, Chinese staff, Taiwanese staff (I can tell by their accents). At first we didn't like the location but after staying for more than 2 days, the location is quite good. it's close to 2 train stations, and surrounded by many small restaurants.

Maybe it's my first time going to Japan. I was quite shocked the room is tiny. After travelling to other parts of Japan, the room size is common in Japan. By the way, I saw a roach on the hallway. Luckily it didn't get into my room.

The staff were so friendly! The hotel is super close to a train station, there’s a convenience store just under the hotel (and another around the corner!), and there’s plenty of food and drink options nearby. The hotel was clean and tidy, and wasn’t noisy at night. The rooms were a bit squishy (which is to be expected in the city, and shown clearly in the room photos), but were comfortable and had all the amenities you’ll need. The lobby also had razors, cleansers, etc. available for guests to take as needed. A big highlight was that the property provided our room with a device charger - it had multiple heads to connect to an array of devices and was such a life saver for us!

While the room is modest in size (like most of Tokyo’s hotels), it had enough space for me to move around in. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the free use of a washer and dryer during the middle of peak Tokyo summer was amazing. The hotel is located only 3mins away from Asakusabashi station, which is on a JR line and only one stop away (Akihabara) from the Yamanote line. Also a short walk away is Bakurochō station, on another JR line that connects to Tokyo station. The area itself is quiet, a nice reprise from a day of sightseeing in busy areas.

The hotel interiors are a little dated, and occasionally you can see a build up of dust in corners or harder to reach places, but on a whole it was fine. It definitely didn’t detract from my stay.

This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel! I absolutely love the location! Not only is it super close to the JR Asakusabashi station (1 min walk to the hotel) (the station is also 1 stop away from akihabara station/ 20min walk), but the area in general is very quiet & has lots of more local/ suburban restaurants & markets! Still has heaps of convenience stores if you prefer those, and if you need to use the subway, that's also a 6min walk away. The hotel itself also has great facilities with the washing & dryer machines in the lobby level, free amenities, as well as the Lawson convenience store, which has an internal entrance so you don't even need to leave the building to access it! I stayed in the beautiful Japanese Modern Twin Room this time which had a great view of the skytree as its on the highest floor! Loved the atmosphere the room gave off & its a bit bigger than the other rooms. But having experienced it once, I don't think it worth the extra cost and if I return again, will just go back to booking a double room again (i once stayed for 13 nights in the double room with my partner at the time!) Staff are super friendly & since a lot of staff are not Japanese, lots of languages are covered if you don't know Japanese.

The only downside to facing the skytree is that its on the same side as where the Sun rises, so I got woken up by the light a few times. There's a sliding door to cover the window but the light still escapes through the sides. There was also a panel under the sink in the bathroom that had small cracks in it so it kept falling onto my feet & making a loud noise whenever it fell. The hotel, though not the oldest, has areas that show its age. Parts of the wallpaper has been ripped off, and there are some markings here and there. There's also a strict check-in time of 3pm, they won't let you check in prior to that but will at least mind your luggage (but this seems to be pretty standard. I stayed at 9 other hotels during my month long trip & only 2 let me check in earlier)

Very clean, quiet, very comfortable beds. Location near JR line and another subway, too. Lawson in basement was great for breakfast, but also some other stores with even more variety VERY close. Perfect. Liked having fridge and hot water heater. Plenty of outlets to charge phones. Good value overall.

This was not the cheapest place I looked at in Tokyo, but I think a good value for what we got. We had to get 3 rooms for a family of 5 (all had only one bed in them, and more like a double bed by US standards (not queen). I knew that going into it, though ,so not a surprise). Just that having 3 rooms added to the cost a bit.

There’s a direct train from Narita Airport via Keisei Access Express to Asakusabashi Station which is very very near to the hotel, which made it easy for us to go here despite our luggages. There’s a Lawson Station on the ground floor, which makes it easy for us to have a quick dinner after a hectic day. Toiletries are available for self-pick up at the ground floor reception area, or if you need additional toothbrushes/towels, you may directly ask from the staff, who are all very friendly by the way. The staff allowed to keep our luggage after check-out and helped us booked a cab to Tokyo Station from which we rode the shinkansen to Osaka. After checking out, we spent some time in nearby Asakusa (2 stops away) before heading out to Osaka. There are also many restaurants around the area but special mention is there’s a nearby Matsuya for travelers who want to save some money. I had a very pleasant stay here, not to mention that I chose the room with the Skytree view. Seeing the Skytree first thing in the morning and last thing at night is nice. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again should I have the chance to go back to Tokyo someday.
