This place is in the heart of it! Each morning was a 1 minute walk to coffee & bakery. The train station was right there which made daily outings a breeze. Kitchenette & clothes washer were fantastic to have.

We couldn’t find the entrance when we arrived in the rain, it is tucked into a corner of a small plaza. When I called to ask for guidance, the language barrier made it difficult to get clarity but when we figured it out, the staff were outside looking for us! We had a double bed and a sofa bed for our teen which was not very comfortable.

The facilities are brand new and very clean. The space was compact but not cramped for us. There were plenty of outlets. The table was bigger than some other places. The kitchenette was fine although we didn't really use it much except for the refrigerator. The bathroom had separate spaces for the toilet (sliding door), wash basin and washing machine, and for the shower/bathtub. The lighting was good and the controls easy to use. The one little thing I wish they had was a shower curtain. There was a shower rod, just no curtain. Very livable space (since I believe the building was originally apartments that were converted into hotel rooms). The building is very secure (you need to use the fob of the key to access the building and the elevator, plus the door to the space has two deadbolt locks, not just one. The facilities are a stone's throw from the station gates, and there are stores and restaurants all along the station building and the surrounding area. It was super convenient. Sasazuka is a small area but very nice.

As mentioned, just a shower curtain. While there's a reception desk, it seems that often there is no one there except when a guest is checking in or out. When you go out and there's no one there, it's a little disconcerting, but they are very responsive to messages and will come to the front desk when you have business with them. Since we only stayed a couple of nights, we don't know how responsive they are if you request more towels and cleaning and such or any possible costs involved.

I had a great stay at Kario Sasazuka Terrace! I booked a little bit last minute, so I wasn't expecting my hotel to be perfect, but I honestly loved it!! It was super clean and tidy (and I can be particular about this) with all of the essential amenities like a washing machine, electric tea kettle, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, AC, heating, etc. It felt like my own little apartment! I also really liked how it was basically at Sasazuka station, so it was easy to get around the city. Shinjuku is literally one stop away! It was quieter than Shinjuku though, so it was perfect to come back to and crash after a day of exploring. The bed and pillows were very comfortable as well. They even had a binder type thing in the room, in English, that told you how to use things like the AC, and little tips about Japan/Japanese culture. The staff were also very nice and even stored my luggage for a couple of hours for me before I left for my flight! All in all, a perfect stay and experience. Thank you! :)

I highly recommend Kario Terrace. We stayed for 11 nights in August as a family of 4 from London. The location was excellent - just metres from the train station and 2 stops from Shibuya. There is a shopping centre in the train station with everything you’ll need locally - supermarket, drug store… Uniqlo! Quirky little streets locally with an abundance of independent restaurants to explore. We felt very safe and it was quiet so we all slept well. The apartment was spotless and had everything we could have possibly needed including washing machine, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hairdryer, basic cleaning materials and kitchen ware, induction hob and a microwave. It was perfect for a family of 4 (two teenagers), much more spacious than we expected. In addition to our double bedroom there were twin beds in a separate area of the living room that could be partitioned off easily at night. Beds were comfee and linen and towels were fresh and soft. The staff were really helpful when we arrived. We were early so left cases with staff in the basement and did some shopping. When we came back to check in he had kindly taken our cases to the apartment for us. The bathroom was onsen style with a power shower and deep tub/wet room. I was really pleased that the bathroom could be used as a drying room for clothes and a hanging unit was also provided. The control panel can be set to drying and a full machine load of clothes are dry within the hour. We packed lightly so this was incredibly helpful. I have attached a Google translate image of the control panel as a top tip! It was really pleasant to step into the cool, fragrant Kario terrace reception after a long hot day sightseeing and shopping.

I’d be hard pushed to find anything - not for the price that we paid, anyway! Perhaps a stool for the bathroom so we could sit to onsen as we have learned in Japan!

The best of Kario is the location, very close to Suzuka metro station with restaurants and very nice coffee shops nearby. Practically you have everything you need in a 100 m distance. The staff, although they don't speak English at all, are very friendly and polite. They kept our luggage for free during 3 days as we returned for a second booking at the end of our stay.

The price because Kario is not a hotel and it can be describe more as an Airbnb. It means that there's no cleaning of the room up to 7 days of your stay (you can pay if you want). But Tokyo is expensive anyway. Wifi is also not the best one. But definitively I'd stay there again.

The location of Sasazuka Terrace is excellent as it is one stop away from Shinjuku and 2 mins walk from Sasazuka. Also, it is very convenient that both Lawson and 7-11 are just downstairs. Cleanliness-wise, Sasazuka Terrace did really well. The toilet and kitchen areas are well-kept. The bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. But I do wish for a full length mirror in the apartment.

It is difficult to contact the staff as the front desk is manned by a CCTV so I'm not 100% sure that the staff are monitoring it.

The location is actually not accesible by taxi or at least, you can't be dropped off at the front door. However, the hotel is about a minute away from the train station so that was extremely convenient. The room itself was very quiet and clean. There was even a guidebook for guests who have never stayed in a Japanese apartment before which was a great refresher for me since I hadn't lived in Japan for a few years. I wished I could've stayed longer actually because the neighborhood was lively during the day and there are shops nearby including a Uniqlo!

The best thing about Kario Sasazuka Terrace to me Is the location ; its very close to the Keio train station and only one station to Shiinjuku and few stops to Shibuya. The location Is also close to the main city attraction. The receptionist , Ayumi is very helpful too. We love our stay !! 😁😁

Very near the station, but quiet, and nice shops. Rooms are clean and spacious, big enough for a family. Kitchen is roomy and the IH cooker is easy to use. Refrigerator is big enough and there is a proper freezer section as well. The toilet is separate and the Japanese bathroom is big and comfortable. There is an air conditioner in each room. Rooms are cleaned once a week. The living room is nice and comfortable with a TV, sofa, chair and a big low table. It was a very nice stay.

As it is an apartment style, there is not a telephone in the room. If you have got your own mobile, it is not a problem.

The most spacious room we stayed in in Japan! Many amenities and even a washer in unit, which was very helpful. Staff was friendly and the view from the balconies was quite nice.

Not having a lobby to make a phone call was different, but the lounge downstairs was a great substitute. The neighborhood nearby does not have a ton of night life, but it's only a short train ride away to rowdier areas.
