Nice not having to use a key to get in and out. Place was clean, and about a two minute walk from Hatagaya station. Shower pressure was superb. Host was responsive. The restaurant/business recommendation list they sent was handy. Hatagaya is a quiet, local, chill respite from actual Shibuya.

Only the bare essentials. Location was close to the station but annoying to have to take Keio New Line. Not really Shibuya. Room was small - definitely a squeeze for two even with the double bed.

Room was clean, comfortable and even had a desk and chair. The facilities were awesome- full kitchen, tea making and microwave, and washing facilities if needed as well. And I was pleasantly surprised there was an elevator! The location was very handy: train nearby, shops and food options.

Nothing about the accommodation whatsoever. Hatagaya Station is on a private rail line (Keio New Line) so although it goes to Shinjuku in 2 stops, be aware the Keio stop is completely separate from the JR part of Shinjuku Station and quite a walk between them, which is not very suitcase friendly in parts and lifts have long queues at busy times.

If you are staying in Tokyo, this is an excellent place to stay at. You’ll definitely get what you’ve paid for. - Self check-in. - Few walks away from Hatagaya station accessible with both elevator and stairs ( a must when you have lots of luggages ) - Free hygiene kits everyday - There is a full pantry and avaialbe washing machine service. - Near a grocery store, there are lots of izakayas near the area and Ramen Butayama is few steps away

-The location was ideal as it was a 2 min walk to Hatagaya Stations (bus and train) -Near FamilyMart, 7-Eleven, and a grocery so you don't have to worry about food and essentials -Area was in the quiet side of Shibuya -Common area served as a space to eat your meals (takeout) and quickly cook/reheat them if needed. They also had free water -Room was clean and bed was comfortable -Enough sockets to charge devices (4-6 sockets) -As an introvert, I like how everything was a self-service from check-in, putting luggages to storage room as I had to do early checkout, and check-out

-Toilet did not have a bidet or was not heated but it was okay

Great location, close to Shinjuku, Harajuku (easy 30-minute walk) and Shibuya (Shibuya is only one bus ride from Port House. Easy to find, instructions on how to get there are excellent. No front of desk staff, code entry, and another code entry into your room. Any further questions I had were answered promptly by email.Port House is set back from the busy main road, so it was quiet, safe, very clean and tidy, and a comfortable bed. We had a twin room with a big wardrobe, so we were able to store our cases in there to give us more room. From other photos and reviews, I was expecting the room to be smaller. It was fine for us. The bathroom is very compact, so it may not be comfortable for a large person. Close to supermarket and convenience stores and eating places, would stay here again.

A great location and very good value for the location. We (two friends travelling together) had a single room each and were very happy with our rooms. The rooms are small but well laid out - and beds were super comfortable. Port House is very easy to get to and easy to access through the key/door codes. Plenty of eating and drinking places in the neighbourhood and a short train trip to Shibuya station. Would definitely stay here again.

A minor issue is that there is no-one onsite - pretty much everything is done remotely. So there is not a lot of human interaction to be had with owners/staff - but they seemed very responsive via email and phone.

I had an incredible time at Port House!! I traveled for work and had to find accommodation a bit last minute and found Port House because the dates and budget matched what I needed. But the stay exceeded my expectations. The rooms are spacious, super clean and comfortable and there's an elevator! The upstairs common area and terrace really make you feel at home and creates a nice community. The free tea and coffee and toiletries were very nice and pleasant addition. The customer service was on point even when I informed I would check in late because of the storm. Also the location is great! Right next to Hatagaya station, lots of food options and quaint streets with a great selection of eateries to explore the neighborhood both day and night. Book it, you won't regret it! The host was super friendly, attentive and helpful. Thanks! The common area is very good, with a full kitchen. Good location, very close to a metro station.

Maybe I was unlucky, but the room had a strong smell of fried food that came and went, probably from the restaurant next door. The host left me an air freshener which helped, but not completely. At times it was unpleasant. And it would be great to have space to hang/store clothes.

Highly recommend Port House Shibuya! Conveniently located near the Keio line subway, one stop away from Shinjuku. Also we'll connected with busses. The area has plenty of restaurants and bars, but still keeps an intimate feel. The room was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable. There was a spacious kitchen to prepare food, a fridge for storage, a washing machine and an inviting lounge area.

The one feedback I have is that the cushions were a bit too soft and not so supportive, but it was a minor issue compared to the overall great value for money.
